I'm about ready to walk away from that game. I don't enjoy the inventory 
management aspect. Having to wait for just the right trading partner and 
only get a pittance for what you sell is not how I like to play.

I signed it. I don't use the web interface at all unless I am looking 
for something in the spam folder, but I think simple views should always 
be available no matter how accessible google thinks its intended change 
is. Someone refusing to sign because they personally like the new gmail 
isn't really getting to the point of the issue. I like options and I 
don't like when options are taken away. The new gmail would still be an 
option you can use if you like, and he isn't suggesting any different. 
Sites have become more and more complicated in their coding and 
so-called features, and there always needs to be a simple option for 
those less computer savvy or who simply like things straightforward. 
What seems accessible to one may be problematic for another. Just my two 
cents.

The dials only control access to one stone. You need 3 numbers from 
inside that mausoleum and two from the graveyard.  The other stones are 
in other mausoleums.

Delight games sells their stuff in a bunch of arrangements. If you 
already have the premium library it does no good to buy the app called 
D choice game or whatever it is. It's a repackaging of the 
rogue/wizard/demon/ranger choice saga, which is massive amounts of fun, 
but if you have the library you don't need the other app.

Twenty-seven is probably the elite dragons, the one you have to kill a 
thousand dragons to get to, if I recall correctly. I've pretty much quit 
the game, so I haven't done either.

I tried locating bitwash street and got lost so got help from
fairygodmother so am now back at the mended drum. I was in unseen
university and got information on a stone medallion I was given which
turns out to be a quest item where trying to enter a house on bitwash
street and giving a pass phrase starts you on a quest. I think what I
will do is start documenting these streets and in that process see if I
can find bitwash street and continue documentation beyond that. I know
enough streets so I can get back to unseen university if I can find 
one of

the streets that feeds into sater square.

The chisel upgrades the found gems to the first level of cut after you 
acquire it. It does not apply to previously discovered gems or have any 
other effect than to reduce the amount of cutting you have to do and 
thus, perhaps, allow a higher percentage when you're done if you're 
successful at it.  The recipe raises the level of the highest tier 
available to cut, making the stat effects of the properly cut gems 
stronger. In short, as frustrating as gem cutting is, it really is 
essential to game progression.

did find myself keeping enchanted items equipped as often as possible, even if
I had an item that was stronger in one stat.

Even if you're not great at cutting you should do it because poorly cut 
gems, at higher levels, are still better than gems you didn't bother to 
cut, and because you can reforge them until they're good ones.  Yes, 
there is a fraction of a second delay between when you tap and when it 
cuts.  I tend to do it toward the end of the sound, or more slowly so 
that it makes a rhythm with the end of the sound. Ding-tap-tap-tink. The 
tink is in rhythm with what the sound would do if it was just going 
ding, ding, ding, in a rapid rhythm in sync with the phone's vibration 
or the length of the ring sound. The phone is still vibrating at the end 
of my last tap and stops about then. I don't cut perfectly, so the 
timing could probably be better refined.  I've never figured out the 
fine art of the split tap. I just do a plain doubletap and live with the 
results. Some people swear by the split tap.

Yes they can. I do it all the time and I use Voiceover.

Here's a link to a file I posted on my last playthrough. My character 
was in the mid 30s in level at the time. It just takes patience, 
practice, and gradually, high luck.

My system does not get along with this game at all. Some of the sounds, 
usually step sounds,  like to cut out regularly and the only solution 
I've found is to restart the program. I play AHC a lot, so I suppose 
I've got an adequate sound system. Anyone else having this problem?

Mine is QZMs2u. It's got blind folks as well. I'd be surprised if most 
don't. This isn't the sort of game that appeals to the sighted, if my 
parents are any indication. I tried to get them to play and they never 
took to it.

There are plenty of tutorials on youtube that are blind friendly if you 
have trouble with the rune puzzles. I think I also read something once 
where how best to solve them was explained, but I don't have the link 
handy. If puzzles aren't your thing there's also a trading game where 
you can make the pages and chapters without solving puzzles. There are 
clue locations given and you have to do lore quests. There's even a list 
of those online if you don't care to figure them out on your own. Some 
of them are deceptively worded with puns and such, to, make it interesting.


The game itself is entirely accessible and I'd agree buying the whole 
thing at once is worth $10. I'm on my second complete play-through after 
changing phones part way through the first and not having it transfer 
over to my new one.

I'm having no luck on the softcon one. I made it through the tutorials 
in the portal, apparently, but I can't find either the pageboy or the 
town crier, and the 'where person' doesn't seem to work, as it says 
neither the pageboy nor the crier can be found.


Am I understanding right that the file mentioned literally allows you to 
run your own personal copy of this mud?

You can do that, but the entire point of playing a mud is to
interact with others.  You're missing 95 percent of the mudding
experience by doing that.

But, for what it's worth, check out empiremud for one that has some
pretty good features that will work on a windows machine.  I
generally run it on my linux server, or on my quadra (a pi clone),
but it does work under windows.  I don't remember if there's windows
binaries included or not, but if there isn't, drop me a line, and
I'll make one for you.

Muds are simply games that are hosted online.  There's thousands of
them, in every genre, so your first problem is choosing one that
fits the kind of game you want to play.

They are text based, so a simple telnet client is all you need to

That's interesting. I have never done it that way. That quest is 
typically one of the ones done first. The amulet should be in one of the 
containers in the bedroom. Perhaps you can ask Susan, then Samuel about

Malwarebytes and chrome are probably overdoing the security thing again 
just like apparently with BGStorm, but I got a warning that your site 
might not be safe from both, whether I used HTTPS or regular HTTP.


HTTPS and google complained that your server couldn't prove its identity 
because the certificate was issued by "**.safezone.mcafee.com*". Regular 
HTTP and malwarebytes blocked it because of possible unspecified trojan 
activity.


I'll check it out on the app store. I've never played either scramble or 
tetris so we'll see, if it doesn't cost too much.

The only Oregon Trail I know of is a Delight Games choose your own 
adventure textgame. It's definitely accessible and unless the price has 
gone up since I bought the app with it and a bunch of other such games, 
the price isn't too bad. Find the delight games premium library in the

Which one you need, of course, depends on which ones you have. No, you 
don't need fast travel to get to any of them. There's one in the palace, 
one in one of the encampments that you have to get keys from, and one in 
the goblin settlement.  I always take the fast travel. I just can't be 
butthole enough to let an innocent person rot, no matter how obnoxious 
they are or how cold my character's supposed to be.

going to the site my browser stops me, warning of potential trojan 
activity. I found what's supposed to be a copy on

games have been abandoned or the official site has crud, it doesn't seem 
like something I want to mess with anyway.

wondering if something's bugged out on you this time. "A balancing act" 
isn't the same quest as "getting at the heart", though they're closely 
related. I've never gone and done the guardian fight without having 
cleared reservoirs and veins first though. Clearing reservoirs and veins 
should, I thought, have given you the balancing act quest.

Question, I for the life of me cannot recall how to end the massive tree
quest.

I have duncans book, I have been to the prison, the core, and the sap
and water veins, flipped the switch in the water one  but cannot
remember how to get the water to the tree or how to get the sample to
get to Lord A.
Any tips would be Great!

Update to the below bug report. When I went to the garden it told me I 
was still at the wrong place. So I went back to the restaurant again and 
still couldn't get it. I was supposed to go back and wait for it to be 
cancelled, but I just shut the game instead.

I just posted on your site next time I got stuck after getting the 
latest download, and explained my task there. On my initial message, I 
was still trying to explore the game. The first time I was still in the 
tutorial. Second, I don't remember the task. I was headed up to someone 
on the fourth or fifth floor.


I saw on the website where someone was talking about there being two 
lifts and that possibly making a difference to gameplay or causing 
issues. If there are indeed two lifts, and for some reason that does 
seem to be a larger area at least at times, they should be more clearly 
labeled if it makes a difference to gameplay.

Got the latest version as this is apparently being updated by the hour 
and am no longer getting stuck in the lift.  I have completed two games 
and got the same code both times. If there isn't one, there should be 
one to skip the credits too. They read so very slowly.

I had to complete going to all three shrines for Alexia to get holy 
warrior and she got it, but my character didn't. You saying I have to do 
it twice, once for me and once for her? I know Simeon unlocks doors. I 
was lamenting the fact that a player thief can't learn it for when 
Simeon isn't in the party.

Since I cannot find any references to a completed one anywhere, I must

assume that for whatever reason, the individual failed to complete the

task. I could try doing a simpler one with general guidance on quest

completion, but I don't think I have the patience to do things like

logging every single possible mob, stat and item in the game. Getting

into the mechanics to that extent doesn't interest me, so I won't even

promise to take up the task of a truly complete one. I've done a few

playthroughs recently, though, and now I have some questions for my

fellow AHC lovers. Those who have not completed a playthrough should

As I recall it from my previous playthroughs of AHC, There's supposed 
to be a history detailing the historical religious landscape around 
Farhaven, but for all the bookcase plundering I have undertaken, I 
can't seem to find it. Can anyone remember where it is?

[blind-gamers] A hero's call help in silvershade mine

There's a gold ore vein near the goblin encampment in Silvershade mine. 
I keep seeing it, but can't get to it across a pit that covers an entire 
section of passage with no apparent way around. How do I actually get 
into it? I've been going in circles for a week trying to get 30 gold 
nuggets for the general store owner among other things, so it feels like 
I've been all over this blasted mine and I can't find it.

You could try www.harshlands.net or www.legendsofthejedi.com depending 
on what theme you're into.  I no longer play harshlands because I got 
tired of the staff fiddling with guild rules and such, but if you want 
an RPI I played it for a decade as an armorer and only had to do combat 
when I wanted to. I still play legends of the Jedi despite growing 
annoyance with the staff.   My first character there fiveish years ago 
was an engineer, their version of a crafter.  Both games have a learning 
curve on lore or commands, but there are enough friendly folk around 
that you can get started and find out if it's for you or not. Legends of 
the Jedi is currently rewriting its newbie guides on the site, but they 
do have a newbie channel and harshlands probably still has hchat, help 
chat, where you can ask questions. Harshlands is smaller than LOTJ. When 
I was playing you never saw more than 15 or so on at once.

I'm not holding my breath either. I just got a new computer a few months 
back, installed the game hoping to play it, tried to replace the key 
through GMA and was given a different email address to try since they 
aren't handling Sarah sales, tried that email address and still haven't 
heard back. I uninstalled it again. *Shrug*.
