Add the following command to your gateway:

voice service voip
allow h323 to h323

That should fix it.

That is certainly possible but still there is a requirement of some
authentication before patching he call to the system.

And I guess a vanila H323 GW also will not hairpin as both the call
legs are VoIP. We may need IPIPGW to achieve that.

Do you have any idea of how to reoriginate the call from one Dial Peer
to another?

Thanks

 Thanks Cliff

Basically we are interfacing a Public Announceement System(PAS) with
an analog port on a VG248. The PAS doesn't have any builtin
authentication so I need to enforce FAC on the DN itself.

H323 would likely be a better way to go if you must do this. That said,
this is a pretty strange requirement. I would ask some hard questions
 about
exactly WHY this needs to be done. It might be more appropriate to do
something where you are working with CDR after the fact and billing based

that back to the originating station.

 Hi

We’ve come across a typical requirement wherein we need to enable
FAC(Forced Auth Code) on an Internal DN.

I was thinking of creating a RP hair pinning it back from a GW to
the required DN.This DN could be only in this GW's CSS.

Is this possible with MGCP or I need to have only H.323 GW? What will
be the required config on the Gateway?

 Thanks

[OSL | CCIE_Voice] 911 Route Pattern Delay

2009-04-02 Thread Mark Davis
I want to create a 3 second delay for calls that hit the 911 route
pattern in Callmanager 4.x.

The only way I think I can do this would be to do a 911. route
pattern, and then set the digit timeout systemwide at 3 seconds.

Doing this would affect all phone dialing, however, and I'd rather not do that.

Any thoughts?

Odd - I have IPBlue - but I have never had the auto-answer problem.
Try uninstalling it, removing the registry key, then re-installing it.
Maybe the settings got stuck that it auto-answers or something
similar.

Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] IP Blue

2009-04-02 Thread Mark Snow

Thanks for posting the links Larry.

Couple notes to all of you out there wishing to use IPBlue:

I would actually recommend watching the first video link that Larry
posted, however once the media loads, move the playhead to
approximately the 26:04 timecode to watch the IPBlue specific section.

https://proctorlabs.com/racksystems/demo/

This video has a much better procedure on how to set IPBlue up, set
fixed send and receive RTP ports (different ones for each instance of
IPBlue since your laptop is hiding behind a single NAT'd (PAT
actually) IP address - this will help the PAT table to send the proper
audio stream to the proper client instance), and then use registry
export/import to save/restore your multiple instances, along with when
to run a registry merge before firing off the next instance of IPBlue.

I plan to cut up this video here in the next day or two so that I can
make this a standalone video for folks to watch without having to wait
for the whole demo video to load.

Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] 911 Route Pattern Delay

2009-04-02 Thread Mark Davis
Yes, after reading about this, I think unchecking the Urgent Priority
would do the same thing as adding the dot.

Since I'm using a 9.@ numbering scheme, CUCM should wait 10 seconds
when 911 is dialed.. expecting more digits. Which still makes me think
I need to shorten that timer to about 4 seconds.

I want just enough delay so that the user has a second to realize
their mistake and hang up, but not enough delay so that, in a true
emergency, they think the call isn't going thru and hang up and
redial... oh and I don't want to cause the hunt and peck users any
pain when they dial unfamiliar numbers and the call starts without all
the numbers.

On Thu, Apr 2, 2009 at 4:16 PM, Larry Hadrava lhadr...@ipexpert.com wrote:

Normally, CUCM would not route the call until the interdigit timer expires

 Larry,

The urgent priority is checked, actually. I will do some research on
that checkbox and look at removing it and seeing the results.

On your 911 route pattern, is the urgent priority box checked?
I would try uncheking that and see if the delay is tollerable before
  making
  a timew change.

  The gateway is MGCP.

Our users will accidentally dial 911, realize their mistake, then hang
up. Unfortunately the call would already be established so dispatch
would send police out to investigate.

I wanted to add a slight delay to the route pattern so that users
could hang up without alerting the police, if they caught it in time.

I want to create a 3 second delay for calls that hit the 911 route

The only way I think I can do this would be to do a 911. route
pattern, and then set the digit timeout systemwide at 3 seconds.

Doing this would affect all phone dialing, however, and I'd rather
   not
   do
   that.

   Any thoughts?

I believe it will not work since the conversion of dtmf digits from h245-a to
rtp-nte is not supported on Cisco SIP trunk side.
