I have to say I didn't take all the Plexus off if you mean the hard brown
stuff.  Took a lot, sanded the rest, smoothed the rest with epoxy with  404.
Wet sanded 80 grit, then wiped with acetone.

Nice windows I’ll have to do mine too
Mine has been on the hard 6 - 7 years un protected
Is it hard to do fibreglass and gelcoat
Or can I just sand the old gel coat and reapply new one
It for the whole top deck and some part on the hull

My window project snowballed into a similar paint the topsides and deck after
some of the Plexus came out in big chunks. Those chunks needed to be filled
which needed paint over top which looked way better than the old paint and so
it started...

I'm in the process of doing this now without the metal frames that Leaky
Windows provides.  I'm having two cut from 1/4 inch acrylic plexiglass grey
2064 tint at a local  glass shop in CT for a total of $500.  I'm going to affix
it with 3M vhb tape and seal it with the Dow corning 795 black silicone.  The

successful with triangular grinding blade on my Fein. Still can't get it all.
