[Csgo_servers] CSGO update 07/24/14
I believe there is a client side bug introduced in the patch yesterday. I've spoken to several people experiencing the same issue. Since the update 7/23/2014 my audio stutters and the whole screen freezes for a brief second. It happens in the menus and in game while playing. Really sucks when I get killed because my game locks up if even for only a fraction of a second. This only started happening after the update. I've verified my cache and even reinstalled with the same results. Not to mention the new Ghost appearing where you died and the fact that the HUD is all screwed up and you can't see people Armor Health or Ammo anymore. All these changes and additions are great but maybe a little testing before you release thing would be a good idea. Intel is the best however most 128 tic servers are lagging not because of the cpu but because of the fact that the server is trying to sleep between tics. Like I said, I can't remember the exact cvars but I bet your CS:Go servers tic rate isn't locked at 128. I bet it fluctuates quite a bit. With the proper cvar settings it tells the server not to sleep ever between tics and the ticrate is locked at 128. Had a guy tonight join the server and keep playing music over the mic. I and several others muted him but every round he kept somehow unmuting himself. This is in a vanilla server. Its' not resetting the user is forcing a command to the server that is resetting the mute on themselves. Now not only are people getting massive FPS drops coupled with a crash after a short time but people have actually started spawning inside the map. I’ve had it happen to me personally on vertigo. There is some sort of nasty graphics glitch and or memory leak messing with things in the client. I've noticed there is a pretty nasty memory leak. The game client will actually crash out if left untouched for a lengthy amount of time with a memory allocation error. Seems that when some people alt-tab out of game and back in, it corrects the FPS issues for a short period of time.
