If a .bsp > 150mb you dont compress it for .bz2 on your fastdl server.

Clients are fine to download the .bsp directly if > 150mb

Many csgo maps are, this 1 rats map is over 300mb uncompressed. And most of 
fmpones maps are over 150mb.

We hope to begin performing maintenance on our backend around 3:45 PM Tue

Connectivity to official and community game servers will be affected, game
lobbies, matchmaking, inventories and weapon loadouts will be unavailable
for the duration of this maintenance.

 

Previous build of the game client will not be pinned due to compatibility
issues and all clients and game servers will be required to update to the
new build after the game update is released.

[Csgo_servers] CSGO update 07/24/14

I believe there is a client side bug introduced in the patch yesterday. I've
spoken to several people experiencing the same issue.

 

Since the update 7/23/2014 my audio stutters and the whole screen freezes
for a brief second. It happens in the menus and in game while playing.
Really sucks when I get killed because my game locks up if even for only a
fraction of a second. This only started happening after the update. I've
verified my cache and even reinstalled with the same results.

 

My computer is plenty beefy for this game.

i7-3770k

16GB ram

Nvidia GTX 650 Ti 2GB

Logitech G930 headset

Win 8.1 64bit

Not to mention the new Ghost appearing where you died and the fact that the
HUD is all screwed up and you can't see people Armor Health or Ammo anymore.
All these changes and additions are great but maybe a little testing before
you release thing would be a good idea. There's been a memory leak in almost
every patch released.

I can confirm this to be true. Game also has random hangs for a brief second

Intel is the best however most 128 tic servers are lagging not because of
the cpu but because of the fact that the server is trying to sleep between
tics. You need to disable that and your ticrate will stabilize at 128 even
with a full server.

Like I said, I can't remember the exact cvars but I bet your CS:Go servers
tic rate isn't locked at 128. I bet it fluctuates quite a bit. With the
proper cvar settings it tells the server not to sleep ever between tics and
the ticrate is locked at 128. Meaning no more rubberbanding on client side
and increased reliability of accuracy.

Had a guy tonight join the server and keep playing music over the mic. I and
several others muted him but every round he kept somehow unmuting himself.
This is in a vanilla server. Not sure how he's doing it but it's a major
issue.

Its' not resetting the user is forcing a command to the server that is
resetting the mute on themselves. I'm thinking maybe one of these commands
is bugged.

voice_unmute all
voice_reset_mutelist


Although I haven't really had the time to test it. It could also be part of
a hack but who knows.

I've noticed this too. Mute seems to reset itself somehow. For example if
you mute someone during warmup, he will be unmuted after the real game
starts.

However, this is not a server issue. Can someone at Valve point a place to

sicken tired of telling them all over the internet, hoping someone will read

Now not only are people getting massive FPS drops coupled with a crash after a 
short time but people have actually started spawning inside the map. I’ve had 
it happen to me personally on vertigo. There is some sort of nasty graphics 
glitch and or memory leak messing with things in the client.

Same here along with a good amount of regular pub players who visit my
server. They're either running single AMD, or Nvidia (with latest beta
driver) and still have FPS drops.

I've noticed stutter or what appears to be input lag while a smoke nade is
visible on my screen as well. With my rig, I should have no lag in any
fashion. I have an i7 3770k with 32 gig of ram and a Nvidia GeForce GTX

I was on a CS:GO match the other night and my FPS would go down to 11FPS
really bad for 3-5 seconds.  If I threw a smokegrenade it would stutter with

I've noticed there is a pretty nasty memory leak. The game client will
actually crash out if left untouched for a lengthy amount of time with a
memory allocation error. Seems that when some people alt-tab out of game and
back in, it corrects the FPS issues for a short period of time.

Has anyone else been hearing reports from your players on massive FPS
drops/lag spikes?  They seem to be occurring at the same time across
multiple clients.  I am trying to figure out if it is an issue with the
CS:GO dedicated server or with our server plugin, but it started with the
Arms Deal update (and upgrading to beta NVidia drivers does not fix - this
also affects ATI users).

 

If it helps, we are running 128-tick servers, each with 1 dedicated core and
1GB dedicated RAM.  We are running _se workshop maps and some others -
including cache, mill, and season.

 

Any advice or knowledge that we are not alone in this issue would be much
appreciated.

I’m not sure this is related to valve servers issues, as this happen randomly 
on mapchange or after hybernation. Restarting the server fix the issue in most

When Valve has network/hardware issues, it causes games like L4D, L4D2 and now 
CSGO matchmaking fail to work. People cannot join ongoing games and so on. This 
site http://store.steampowered.com/stats/ tells usually if they are having 
issues. There was an issue about 3 hours ago or so and looks like there's been 
slight issues afterwards too.

game_mode:

game_mode = 1 ( def. 0 ) game client replicated - The current game mode 
(based on game type). See GameModes.txt.

 

game_type:

game_type = 0 game client replicated - The current game type. See 
GameModes.txt.

 

This happens a lot of times per day and only a full server restart fixes that 
problem.

What's going on here?

That command is not a recognised command for CSGO

Try adding these two lines to your server.cfg then restart your server.

 

sv_hibernate_when_empty 0

sv_allow_lobby_connect_only 0

 

This might help with your problems.

I'm not sure this is related to valve servers issues, as this happen
randomly on mapchange or after hybernation. Restarting the server fix the
issue in most of the case without editing the config.

[Csgo_servers] Map voting

When you try to scroll through the list of maps the scroll button vanish and
don't allow you to see the whole list of maps. Is there a way around this?
