A mi, amb un muntatge molt semblant al teu, al servidor d'impressió tinc instal·lat CUPS, que em va molt millor que refiar-me de samba i prou (de fet, desconec si amb samba pelat funciona, sempre he tirat de cups per al servidor d'impressió). Hi ha una sèrie de drivers (foomatic, hplip, hpijs), instal·la el que correspongui a la teva impressora. Llavors configura-la anant a la url http://localhost:631 des del mateix servidor (usualment et demanarà un usuari i password, que ha de ser root) i torna a provar. A mi així em funciona, des de la LAN, WLAN, ja sigui amb clients windows o linux. Oblidava dir que al fitxer de configuració de samba, la impressora ha d'estar compartida. Jo hi tinc això a /etc/samba/smb.conf: #=== Share Definitions === ... [printers] comment = All Printers browseable = no path = /var/spool/samba printable = yes guest ok = no read only = yes create mask = 0700 ... Val a dir que no sóc gurú del tema, aspectes com la seguretat no m'amoïnen gaire doncs és per a la meva xarxa casolana. Je viens d'installer un ventilateur Zalman sur le processeur car j'en avais vraiment marre du bruit du ventilateur d'origine, et je dois dire que le résultat est bluffant, pratiquement plus un bruit. Par contre, il y a un petit potentiomètre externe qui permet de faire varier la vitesse du ventilateur et ce que j'ai remarqué c'est que si celui-ci est réglé trop bas, et bien la machine gèle après un certain temps. Maintenant je ne sais pas si c'est le processeur qui se bloque ou autre chose. J'ai réglé la vitesse à la moitié environ et depuis plus de gèle. Je me demande par contre si l'utilisation de fancontrol dans ce cas n'est pas inutile, peut-être ferais-je mieux de laisser le ventilateur se régler tout seul... pas encore eu le temps d faire des tests. La doc technique d'AMD ne m'a pas aidé (ou je ne suis pas tombé sur la bonne). Ce genre d'outils est normalement très léger, et récupérer le paquet source pour chercher l'info utile à sa... source est normalement très facile pour qui maîtrise un tantinet le langage (en général le C). Une alternative peut être d'utiliser strace avec un bon grep qui fournira tous les fichiers consultés par l'outil. Dans le BIOS sont parfois affichés des trip points genre 90°C mais je ne sais pas qui les fournis (bios cpu ...) Certains (tous?) serveurs s'arrêtent automatiquement quand il fait trop chaud (vraiment trop chaud), sans aucune configuration système particulière. Je n'en sais pas plus, désolé. Bonjour, J'ai eut à faire ça il y a quelques temps, également sur une base de production pour une bonne gestion des transactions. Comme je ne suis pas super compétent en mysql j'ai fait ça de façon un peu bourrine, donc s'il ya des réponses plus subtiles ça mintéresse ;-) ! J'ai commencé par demander à mes gentils utilisateurs d'arrêter de faire des modifications. Puis j'ai fait un dump de la base avec un rechercher/remplacer de MyISAM par InnoDB, puis je l'ai réimporté. Ca fait pas super pro, mais ça a marché. Bonne journée, Arnaud.

Hola lista Empece a probar el uso de escritorio remoto con un pc corriendo W$(xp) para ingresar a mi debian, cuando lo hago me abre kde como escritorio. el punto en cuestion es no me cambia el teclado, siempre usa el teclado ingles. Pruebo cambiar el teclado desde el centro de control y no da efecto, es decir me toma el teclado LAT pero no se refleja. Hola he encontrado una pagina donde explica como instalarla, llega un momento en que da un error con un escrip. .Cuando hago un /etc/init.d/ekpd/start no reponde nada, ni ok ni nada, simplemente baja la linea en la consola y espera la siguiente orden .Si sigo y hago un restart o un stop, responde con Stopping ekpd:No /usr/local/EPAva/core/ekpd found running; none killed. Se que estoy muy cerca, pero, no acabo de cerrar el circulo. Si, es un problema con el sudo, por esa razon (y otras mas) que es un bug. De verdad, si leemos un poco las politicas de Debian (este en particular [0]) y donde se deben instalar los archivos, nos damos cuenta del problema. Em meus últimos upgrades, parece que pacotes do 4.2 estão sendo puxados. Somente alguns pacotes de ícones e localizações (traduções). Se eu tenho algum pacote do kde 3.5, o apt-get vai puxar automaticamente o upgrade dele pra 4.2, se estiver disponível? Sim Isso não misturaria pacotes de ambos os lançamentos, sendo não recomendado? Qual lançamento? O SID nunca é lançado... Ele sempre está em desenvolvimento. O que é mais indicado para manter o kde no release 3.5? Botar todos os pacotes em hold? Porque você não utiliza o Lenny? Por favor me instrua pois nao saberia onde encontrar. Obrigado, Não seria mais fácil realizar uma instalação minima (e sem a adição de nenhum mirror inicialmente) via cdrom/pendrive, e depois utilizando o próprio pendrive copiar o pacote para a máquina e instalar via dpkg? Ola pessoal, Gostaria de saber sobre instalacao do wine no Xfce. Tanto no Gnome como no Kde eu instalo o wine mais as fontes microsoft e o programa que roda nele funciona, mas no Xfce nao tem jeito de funcionar, falta alguma bilbioteca ou alguma configuraco especifica que me passou despercebido. LENNY - INICIAR O GDM SEM MONITOR

Estou configure um servidor LTSP com o Lenny 5.0. -Acesso a máquina apenas remotamente não preciso de monitor nela. -Quando inicio uma sessão remota do gnome ela não funciona corretamente. -Pluguei o monitor no servidor e vi a mensagem No Screen Found , Reinicie o gdm ,e funcionou , minha sessão remota também funcionou. Eu tenho um servidor LTSP com etch sem monitor. Isso não misturaria pacotes de ambos os lançamentos, sendo não recomendado? Qual lançamento? O SID nunca é lançado... Ele sempre está em desenvolvimento. Eu me referia aos lançamentos do kde. Misturar 3.5.x com 4.2.x... O que é mais indicado para manter o kde no release 3.5? Botar todos os pacotes em hold? Porque você não utiliza o Lenny? Até que é uma idéia, Renato. Mas não por agora, não vou reinstalar meu note que está com sid. Se bem que na verdade, como o meu plano é permanecer no kde 3.5 até onde for possível, a pergunta mais importante é qual o futuro da série 3.5.x, com a chegada do 4.x? Não sei se entendi bem o seu questionamento, mas a falta do header é de responsabilidade do mantenedor do source (no caso layer7). Se o ./configure não apontou erro algum, é sinal que tudo está pronto para a compilação. Uma vez que descompactei o fonte do iptables e apliquei o patch do netfilter layer 7 para o iptables, eu esperava que as coisas funcionassem um pouco mais automáticas. Faço da sua pergunta a minha também, Cade o header? debiantutorials.org is 4 years old, the blog aspect is new for new Debian users to write about their experiences. The site may have been available, but it was unknown until now. I'm hearing a lot that the web is already saturated with Debian documentation, and you may be right. There are many, many sites out there with related information. Mine, too. However my site is completely different than all of them. It's very easy to see, as well. How is it different? Serious question, not trolling. If it has something new to offer that the current sites cannot provide, then I am sure that the community would welcome it. Where else but here to ask for assistance? I don't know, but to be honest I didn't expect such a negative reaction. You did not get a negative reaction! Everyone has applauded your efforts, and some have made suggestions, however, it has been said that your efforts would be better gone into improving the current documentation instead of spreading it out further. Thanks for all the input. I won't bother the list with this again. A good way to introduce the site to the list would be to answer questions with links to your site. I would expect this machine to be new enough to handle cpufreq's latest abilities. you don't really need cpufreqd (unless you want fancy rules), kernel has CPU power-saving features built-in. try this: sudo aptitude install cpufrequtils sudo cpufreq-set --min=500MHz sudo cpufreq-set -g powersave then check results with cpufreq-info and probably post to the list for further help. Then you could use cpufreq-set -g ondemand to modify the cpufreq settings, live. Some extra hints * Make sure you run the latest (recommended) firmware. * Try using powertop to make sure that nothing prevents the CPU from sleeping. Support for Logitech QuckCam S7500 in Lenny?
I looked for software to support the LogiTech QuckCam S7500 (a newish USB web camera) in Lenny. Plenty of stuff appeared to be relevant, but nothing actually seemed to work (for example, one piece of software turned out to be for parallel port driven cameras). With the popularity of Logitech hardware and the sheer number of Debian packages, I feel reasonably certain that I've missed the obvious answer. Does anybody else have it working? What packages did you require?
