[Declude.JunkMail] Declude 3.0.3 update
We installed the latest 3.0.3 beta tonight; the decludeproc service shot to 99% of CPU and stayed there for 15 minutes. During this time we accumulated over 1000 items in the proc folder; nothing was going out. Anyone else experienced this? We stopped/re-started the decludeproc service, as well as the SMTPd32 and Queuemgr and no change for the better. We had same experience when trying to load the initial 3.0 beta. Had to revert back to the 2.0.6.16 again. Randy Armbrecht Global Web Solutions, Inc. --- This E-mail came from the Declude.JunkMail mailing list. RE: [Declude.JunkMail] OT: Imail gateway setup not working
notepad %windir%\system32\drivers\etc\hosts. everything checks out with thisno problems opening it. I've doubled checked again to be sure that there is a blank line after the last entry... I'm stumped... 8.2 has the relay for addresses as 8.15 did. Any one else have any problems with this? Randy --- This E-mail came from the Declude.JunkMail mailing list. [Declude.JunkMail] OT: Imail gateway setup not working
I've posted this to the IMailo forum; no replies so far. So I wanted to shoot this out here. We just fired up a new server on Friday with Imail 8.20hf2, JM Pro, Declude Virus Std w/ FProt, Hijack and Sniffer. (old server was 8.15hf2 and starting thursday, the QueueMgr just quit working) We have a couple of customers we do gateway services for and the setup is not working . We have their IP/Domain listed in the host file and have thier IP in the relay addresses list. When anyone sends email in we see this in the logs... 06:18 17:31 SMTPD(92b506f87dcb) [208.253.112.161] RCPT To:[EMAIL PROTECTED] 06:18 17:31 SMTPD(92b506f87dcb) [x] looking up vacva.com in HOSTS 06:18 17:31 SMTPD(92b506f87dcb) [208.253.112.161] ERR imail.globalweb.net invalid user [EMAIL PROTECTED] Note: there is no closing on the invalid user line. Any one k now of any poroblems with this in 8.20? I really do not want to have to re-load a new setup of 8.15. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! Thank you! They also collect information on what shows were running when the advertisements appeared. Because much of cable advertising is geographically driven, they need access to cable TV in specific geographic areas. Re: [Declude.JunkMail] Message Sniffer Confidence
we too offer 2 levels - weight10 marks the subj with an indicator they can filter on - weight20 gets the email held; the legit emails i have seen come across usually fail only sniffer, which has a physical weight in our system of only 5, so by itself, it doesn;t flag the lower level of our testing; in combo with most other tests however, it would. We offer our clients 2 levels of SPAM blocking. Regular (using a WEIGHT20) and Aggressive (using a WEIGHT10). Because we're an ISP, we have to be really careful about deleting legitimate email. We purchased Message Sniffer and implemented it and it is catching a bunch of messages, but the default weight is 7. With the percentage as high as it is, I'd like to give it a 17 so that if a message fails it plus 1 other test, it'll fail the regular test. Need I be that cautious? Spews doesn't blacklist sites, it blacklists entire ip ranges as a way to force domain owners, most of whom are completely innocent but happen to be within the range of the IP block, to pressure their ISP or service provider to shutdown the supposed offending spammer. It is my opinion that Spews (which is completely unreachable if you wish to object to your being included in an IP range), is actually run by spammers - as their actions are so heavy handed that they cause most users to end up dropping the use of RBLs, and as a consequence more spam ends up getting through to people's inboxes. Normally, running the Declude.exe file manually won't cause any problems if Declude has already been installed. The only problem should be if Declude hasn't already been installed. Could you save the Declude diagnostics (by going to a command prompt and typing \IMail\declude -diag diag.txt (*exactly* like that, with no changes). This will report the diagnostic information to a file diag.txt, which you can send me. Re: [Declude.JunkMail] declude errors?
I had previously stopped/restarted smtp service, both from the IMAIL admin/SMTP tab and the win control panel services; declude logs are not being generated - junkmail and virus both stopped logging at 10.28am; have dbl checked to be sure that log file directories are all correclty entered in the config files - I was initially thinking at first that the 're-install' had overwrote the spool file directory entry modifications we have made in the past, but not the case Sincerely, Randy Armbrecht Global Web Solutions®, Inc. 804-346-5300 x102 877-800-GLOBAL (4562) x102 - Original Message - From: R.
