[Bug 34900] Re: desktop icon inconsistency
The new tango icon doesn't look nice at all. I prefer the simpler one as per the screen shot http://librarian.launchpad.net/2734137/Screenshot.png The new one looks a bit, messy. Its hard to tell what it is at that small size. -- desktop icon inconsistency https://launchpad.net/bugs/34900 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 46051] Broken gnome-panel translations
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-panel There is something really wrong in the gnome-panel translations. First of all, in the Add to panel dialog, there's some strings that are translated into Spanish weeks ago, and since last langpack updates from pitty[1] they appears in English. For example, (you can also directly drag and drop items onto the panel): is translated into Spanish as (también puede arrastrarlos y soltarlos sobre el panel): (as you can see in [2]), and that translation is in the .mo file: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~ $ strings -e S /usr/share/locale-langpack/es/LC_MESSAGES/gnome-panel-2.0.mo | grep soltar (también puede arrastrarlos y soltarlos sobre el panel): And second, the System-Help submenu is fully translated into Spanish several days ago (as you can see in [3]) but the translations are not applied. They appears in English yet. I get the partitions in computer:/// but clicking/mounting them doesn't do much. [Bug 44874] Re: auto smbfs mount in /etc/fstab causes hald hang at boot
Since it isn't assigned to anyone, I don't think so. Changing to cifs is one idea, but it isn't always the best. Adding noauto to the end of the options part in smbfs also works as well... except you have to mount it manually on boot-up. -- auto smbfs mount in /etc/fstab causes hald hang at boot https://launchpad.net/bugs/44874 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 46049] Kubuntu Dapper Fl7 and Fl6
Public bug reported: I tried kubuntu FL7 on my laptop, a panasonic centrino 1.4 with intel 2100 wireless, it hangs just after logging into the desktop in live mode, from then i can move the mouse but can't do anything more than that, can't click, can't even reboot, ctrl-alt-canc has no effect. I switched to FL6 and i was able to make it work, however the network configurator in kde doesn't work correctly, my card is seen correctly, but when i try to edit it with my wifi details i get a crash only..so both version doesn't work correctly.. ubuntu FL7 instead works fine, even the wifi works perfectly. ** Affects: gnome-session (Ubuntu) Severity: Normal Priority: (none set) Status: Unconfirmed -- Kubuntu Dapper Fl7 and Fl6 https://launchpad.net/bugs/46049 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 46062] Holding down shift causes weird behavior switching tabs w/ keyboard
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-terminal 1. Open a gnome-terminal 2. Open a couple of tabs, and ls a few directories or cd to a different place in each so they're visually distinguishable when you switch tabs 3. Press Ctrl+Pageup and Ctrl+Pagedown a few times and see that everything works nicely. 4. Now press Shift+Ctrl+Pageup and Shift+Ctrl+Pagedown, and you will see that the contents of the terminal won't actually change, even though which tab is selected along the top is @_@ Shift+Ctrl was the binding I had setup in Konsole before, so I accidentally discovered this out of habit. It doesn't seem to matter what apps you have open. Holding down shift at the same time causes the tab to change without actually switching the terminal. ** Affects: gnome-terminal (Ubuntu) Severity: Normal Priority: (none set) Status: Unconfirmed -- Holding down shift causes weird behavior switching tabs w/ keyboard https://launchpad.net/bugs/46062 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
