If I then terminate SoundJuicer and either double click the desktop icon or use shift+right click to get the menu and select Browse, SoundJuicer itself starts but it goes no further. In particular, it does not display the list of tracks. It is as though either something is locking the CD device on first action on insertion that is not released when the first SoundJuicer instance is terminated or subsequent instances of SoundJuicer are not being correctly connected to the CD device. -- Russel. [Bug 46729] Gstreamer resolves relative paths as /home/[user]/[Path]
Public bug reported: Using Dapper Beta. Apologies in advance for filing this against the wrong package! Totem-Gstreamer (or whatever GST component decodes shoutcast playlists - looks like a similar thing is happening in Rhythmbox) resolves relative file links as being /home/[user]/[PATH] instead of being relative to where the playlist is saved. This creates some odd results: 1) Open Totem-GStreamer 2) Enqueue a list of music files 3) Save the playlist in the same folder as the music files or in a folder above that folder (if it is not in one of these it uses file://[Absolute path]) 4) Open the playlist in Totem-Gstreamer 5) You get an error Totem could not play file /home/[user]/[relative path] It should be trying to play [Path of playlist][Relative path]. ** Affects: gstreamer0.10 (Ubuntu) Severity: Normal Priority: (none set) Status: Unconfirmed -- Gstreamer resolves relative paths as /home/[user]/[Path] https://launchpad.net/bugs/46729 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 38574] Re: Pb syncing treo 650 on dapper drake
Try Upgrading kernel... It seems there may well be some kernel/usbserial bugs in the ubuntu 2.6.15 kernel that is screwing up ttyUSB connections. [Bug 46401] Re: [Bug 46401] Re: update notification icon is a label
Hello, I guess this is /usr/share/pixmaps/update-icon.png . This is still not a glassy icon like other. Why 16x16 where system-log-out is 24x24 ? Note also that process-stop should be glassy -- as arrow and other -- for consistency. We still lake a 24x24 save icon. gedit use 16x16, evolution scale it to 24x24. Strange that when seeing the wallpaper of computer, the ton is much like the enlighted wallpaper i shiped than the darken one shiped for now (or like in lock screen at the logout dialog). That was good to have a lock under the screen of the lock screen icon at the logout dialog, like in system-lock-screen. There is a big size problem about tab close button that the new icon reinforce. Don't know what we can do for this. Why is the close icon a label and not an action icon such as next, previous, etc. with glassy effect ? A Quit icon would be appreciated. That would be good to have a Human Quit icon that fit well with the close icon. Is this possible to have 24x24 icons for Ekiga (Those one are nice, but really tiny). So, that might be al the comment i can do for this. [Bug 46759] panel's show desktop icon is really, really, really ugly
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: ubuntu-artwork i don't know was it is, but i find the new show desktop panel icon to be quite repulsive. even repulsive enough to file a bug about it. it's too busy and complicated looking. plus that pencil seems impossibly large and threatening (thank goodness Freud is no longer around to analyze that comment). the previous icon (the one from the Tangerine icon theme) is quite nice. it would be nice to go back, or have a vote on it. ** Affects: ubuntu-artwork (Ubuntu) Severity: Minor Priority: (none set) Status: Unconfirmed ** Changed in: ubuntu-artwork (Ubuntu) Severity: Normal = Minor -- panel's show desktop icon is really, really, really ugly https://launchpad.net/bugs/46759 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 46765] Network Montior panel icon shakes
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: ubuntu-artwork Add Network Monitor to a Gnome desktop panel. Watch panel icon closely as it animates (screens change from black to brown when network traffic is sent/received). Notice that the entire icon shifts around by a few pixels. The frames of animation are misaligned. This is either in the ubuntu-artwork or in the gnome-netstatus-applet package - I'm not sure which. ** Affects: ubuntu-artwork (Ubuntu) Severity: Normal Priority: (none set) Status: Unconfirmed -- Network Montior panel icon shakes https://launchpad.net/bugs/46765 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 45638] Re: Human theme rainbow icon
I saw today on wiki (http://www.ubuntu.com/testing/dapperrc#head-18e1dcb9181d0f635fa17531e94540018895f4d0), that this rainbow icon for Graphics is still in the Dapper RC. It's unbelievably persistent! :-) Is there a chance that this bug (sorry, artwork-team, meaning no harm) will be turned into something else for final release?
