upstream bug comment tooltips are now (gtk+ 2.14) enabled globally by the gtk-enable-tooltips setting. every gtk+ widget (and hence applets) will automatically have tooltips disabled if that property is set to FALSE inside a gtkrc file. it might require a XSettings key in case we want to be able to use GConf to toggle it - but that is for another bug. [Bug 155294] [NEW] It is not possible to disable the keychain password entry dialog for accessing a WLAN when auto-login is enabled
You have been subscribed to a public bug: Just like the title says. I realise this is probably more a feature request than a bug, but I feel bugged by it, so... The reason I enable auto-login for is that I shall not feel restricted in any way on my own computer. But having to enter a password for getting WLAN undermines the whole point of enabling auto-login (the password dialog after standby or suspend as well, but there's ways around that). I would really love to see a way to get around that keychain password dialog in the next version of Ubuntu. If it has to have a big, fat, warning about the security implications, then that's fine. [Bug 237064] Re: Unable to create archive with OpenOffice document using nautilus integration
It's 100% reproducible in Hardy: * right click on any OpenOffice document (as in, an actual OOo file like a .odt, not a .doc) * Look for the Create Archive option you'd normally get when right clicking on a file * Notice that the option is not there, instead you have Extract Archive This is because OOo files are zips of XML and other stuff, so Nautilus is recognising them as zip files, but it's not useful for a normal user to be able to extract the XML and other data from a .odt. Arguably there is no need to put a .odt in a .zip or .tar.gz, however, they might want to create an archive with one file and then add others later.
