[Bug 354447] Re: gnome-terminal zoom-in keybinding referenced in menus is not intuitive in relation to the actual keypresses needed
This one has annoyed me for quite some time, and it's definitely there under Hardy, and I'm pretty sure I remember it there in Gutsy and maybe Feisty. It's only thanks to this bug thread that I now know how to use the zoom! Also, I'd like to add a suggestion here. As I always run at high res, I'm always zooming all of my apps. It would be VERY nice if the terminal would remember the last zoom setting so I don't have to do it every time. [Bug 208181] Re: Optional Information Needed to Connect to Samba Share
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 216104 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/216104 I still have the same issue as per my initial message, this time using Jaunty beta with the latest updates applied. Selecting Places - Connect to Server... and only entering the service type (windows share) and server name / ip address, I get the following error message: 'Can't display location smb://192.168.0.4/ No application is registered as handling this file' As before, if I enter the share name (i.e. it isn't optional) I then get the dialog box to enter username, domain and password and everything displays correctly (I think this is the fix described in bug #216104 - https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gvfs/+bug/216104). However, if I now (before or after connecting to the samba share) select Places - Network then double click on Windows Network I see the server and I can then browse to my network shares. Double clicking a share brings up the login dialog box and everything is working as expected. I'm really happy to see this finally working in nautilus. Hi, I've had the same problem. But the following solved my problem. http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=717526 I decided to change the values from gconf-editor instead of the networking app. I did this by removing all strings, and unticking all boxes in /system/http_proxy and putting in the link to the .pac file in /system/proxy , and changed the mode setting to auto. Hello, I have a similar issue and want to provide information you asked for. Im attaching 4 files: 1. a screenshot of the error dialog 2. a log of f-spot-import as a txt file 3. listing of the source directory on my camera 4. listing of the destination directory on my pc The use-case is pretty simple: the problem appears almost every time I want to import new picture from my camera to my pc. The error dialog appears only sometimes, while importing certain files (but not all of them). The files are completely new (new pictures and videos) so they are not symlinks or anything like this. Please let me know if you need any more info. I am very happy to help, since the problem appears on my parents computer and I really want to convince them that Ubuntu is way better than windows :) Best, Michal ** Attachment added: a screenshot of the error dialog http://launchpadlibrarian.net/25335185/fspot.png -- f-spot: Error when importing JPEG image https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/326323 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to f-spot in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 38414] Re: Clicking on sticky note applet when stickies are visible should hide them all
In my opinion, the new version sacrifices functionality in order to achieve this. Now, clicking the icon hides the notes, even if the notes are behind other windows. What this means is that there is no way to make your notes visible, besides minimizing the windows in front of them, or minimizing your notes, waiting a second, then un-minmizing them (you must wait to avoid the double-click, which creates a new note). This frustrates me to no end, and has forced me to stop using this applet. I answer the phone a lot, and need to quickly get my notes to the front and jot things down. There is currently no way to do this. I suggest adding a preference for what to do on single-clicks (or double-clicks). Or really, anything that restores the ability to quickly bring all the notes to the front. -- Clicking on sticky note applet when stickies are visible should hide them all https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/38414 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
