[Bug 2022851] Re: Inappropriate files display
Same problem, just another explanation of the symptoms. Whenever I delete files, or move files (move files from one nautilus window to another). I find that any random file (usually\always the top file in the UI) is removed from the UI (or users view). The file that is removed from the users view is not the file meant to be moved or deleted. Importantly however, the right files seem to still be removed and moved. As stated above, changing directory before changing back (as a sort of "refresh"), shows all files were moved or deleted as expected. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2022851 Title: Inappropriate files display To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/2022851/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 655405] Re: evolution calendar-, task- and notivication-lists crashes by opening
We've had the same problem today after an upgrade from 10.04 to 10.10: The Evolution calendar has quit unexpectedly. // Your calendars will not be available until Evolution is restarted After a bit of trying to figure what was wrong by searching on internet, on a hunch, I went and opened the calendar text file in ~/.evolution/calendar/local/system/calendar.ics. I checked the encoding of the file by clicking File / Save As... (which allows to check the encoding), and I noticed it was ISO-8859-1. I made a copy of calendar.ics just in case, and saved a copy after forcing UTF-8 encoding in the Save as... dialog box. That solved the problem (except that accented letters were mangled -- not a big deal). Hi tellapu. I went to check again the copy I saved prior to applying the change, and I have to correct myself: Just the same as what you found out on your side, the file encoding was actually ISO-8859-15 (not ISO-8859-1 as I reported previously). [Bug 237101] Re: Evolution locks up when replying to an email or viewing calendar entries
I have been having the same problem. Anything I do in regard to sending mail through my exchange account ( send, reply, or forward) it hangs just after the mail entry/edit screen appears. I followed the instructions and ran strace attaching it to the running evolution process and then tried to send an email from my exchange account which is one of the actions that causes it to hang. It did not hang as long as I had strace attached to the evolution pid. I could send, replay, or forward and it worked just fine. As soon as I stopped evolution and then reran without strace, it hangs again. Very interesting. Re: [Bug 237101] Re: Evolution locks up when replying to an email orviewing calendar entries
I did not add a trace. What I noted in the post above the one you replied to is that while strace is tracing evolution it does not hang. That is what is interesting.
