[Bug 393808] Re: Allow displaying different virtual desktops on different devices
the problem this would help solve would be for example to easily assign a full screen application, be it a webapp in a browser or a presentation, to a seperate display output channel, all this being done by an ordinary user with no expert knowledge on a desktop window management level. thank you. problem solved. the alterternative would be to write xorg.conf from scratch, and that means the user has to work with the command line to assign a specific picture to a specific output and the user must learn the extremely poorly documented configuration language of xorg.conf -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/393808 Title: Allow displaying different virtual desktops on different devices To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-control-center/+bug/393808/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 904505] Re: Flash doesn't work in epiphany-browser
Jeremy: so is this definitely a wontfix then? I think that the real problem is with GTK3. Re: [Bug 510865] Re: conversation window doesnt focus the actual messages after manual scrolling
lucid fixes this. i wouldn't know about backports for it though, since my machines are now all on lucid beta.. i would recommend adding a pause button though: when i scroll back to read an earlier part of the conversation, incoming messages always make the window focus jump away from what i'm trying to read, back to the newest messages. to prevent that from happening, one could use the pause button to inhibit refreshing the conversation window in the foreground, while continues buffering the new incoming messages invisibly, until i scroll back to the newest messages by hand, or alternatively hit play again. identi.ca has such a button, that's where i noticed it first. -- conversation window doesnt focus the actual messages after manual scrolling https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/510865 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to empathy in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 550830] [NEW] indicator applet opens multiple windows for contacts and mail
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evolution evolution's integration into the indicator applet is a welcome step, as everyone i ask agrees. problem is: when i choose mail from the indicator applet drop-down menu, it opens the overall window of evolution, regardless whether there is already an open evolution window for e.g. contacts or tasks. more confusing is the fact that, considering contacts and chat share the same drop-down menu column, selecting contacts does not reveal the chat contacts. this is inconsistent with what that menu entry is currently indicating to the intuitively navigating user.. solution could be, adding support for importing contacts from the chat app. pidgin-contacts are already suported system wide contact sharing for authorized applications would be the next step as proposed by the people-project, if the name contact list above empathy's contact list should not confuse the user. ** Affects: evolution (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- indicator applet opens multiple windows for contacts and mail https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/550830 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to evolution in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
