Re: [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1589791] Re: LibreOffice Crashes On Language Settings

2016-06-07 Thread The Powerpuff Girls
I'd already fixed it. What I did was I went in Synaptic and completely
removed everything in LibreOffice and reinstalled it via the Terminal.

The Powerpuff Girls, thank you for reporting this and helping make

1) Could you please attach /var/log/apport.log after a crash happens?
2) Could you please advise if there is a crash file in /var/crash?

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1575775] [NEW] Keyboard app causes screen to freeze when editing shortcuts.

2016-04-27 Thread The Powerpuff Girls
Public bug reported:

I've noticed twice within the past few minutes, that the keyboard app in Unity
Control Centre will cause the screen to freeze when editing the shortcuts..
I can't really click on anything; move any windows.

How I fix it is I click on the multiload indicator, to put the mouse
focus there, and open the terminal and sudo xkill and click anywhere on
the screen, which cuases any open window I click on to close (As it
should).

Update: Actually, just clicking on the multiload-indicator seems to take
it out of the freeze for some reason. Nothing else does.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 824998] Re: NM puts up "Authentication required by Wireless Network" dialogue even if previous identical dialogue was cancelled

2016-04-27 Thread The Powerpuff Girls
I've been having that issue for awhile, on Ubuntu 12.04.
I haven't yet seen it on Ubuntu 16.04, which is what I'm using now.

It does not connect to the Internet at times, on this one and another one
(running Ubuntu 12.04).
Usually if I take out the USB WLAN adapter and put it in another USB port, it
works, at other times only works for a minute.
I'm not sure if that is related, but worth looking into.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1575485] [NEW] "PyGIWarning: Gtk was imported without specifying a version first"

2016-04-27 Thread The Powerpuff Girls
Public bug reported:

Earlier, I've noticed some installed apps weren't appearing in the launch. The
noticeable one was Unity Tweak Tool, so I typed it in the Terminal to see if
it'll launch, which it did but also gave an error:
"/usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/UnityTweakTool/__init__.py:40: PyGIWarning: Gtk
was imported without specifying a version first. Use gi.require_version('Gtk',
'3.0') before import to ensure that the right version gets loaded.
  from gi.repository import Gtk"

It appears to that something, like the Gtk isn't configured properly, or not
configured at all and doesn't know which one to choose.
I have two folders, gtk2 and gtk3 in my home folder. It appears I have two
installed (which were most likely installed with a fresh install of Xenial)
which is causing the conflict.

PS: The Unity Tweak Tool, now shows up in the launch; I'm not sure what
was changed, but a few things that weren't showing before, are now. My
guess is installing extra packages for apps may have fixed them?

OS: Ubuntu 16.04 (Xenial) x64
App Version: 3.18.3

Title:
"PyGIWarning: Gtk was imported without specifying a version first"

Status in gnome-terminal package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
Earlier, I've noticed some installed apps weren't appearing in the launch.
The noticeable one was Unity Tweak Tool, so I typed it in the Terminal to see
if it'll launch, which it did but also gave an error:
  "/usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/UnityTweakTool/__init__.py:40: PyGIWarning:
Gtk was imported without specifying a version first. Use
gi.require_version('Gtk', '3.0') before import to ensure that the right version
gets loaded.
from gi.repository import Gtk"

PS: The Unity Tweak Tool, now shows up in the launch; I'm not sure
what was changed, but a few things that weren't showing before, are
now. My guess is installing extra packages for apps may have fixed
  them?

  Info:
  OS: Ubuntu 16.04 (Xenial) x64
  App Version: 3.18.3

Here is a screenshot of the issue.
I install Inkscape, which can be seen on the sidebar, yet in the software
centre, it still shows the "Install" button, even after closing it and
reopening the software centre.
