Yes, my expectations were raised by a Youtube training video, but I could see nothing. All very odd, but I got there - or I stumbled on a solution! I always thought networking was a black art! I had seen the (i) information button - I wonder if that is more useful for popular music. I have presently uninstalled the plugin while try and tidy up my 20 year old flac collection. What a mess! Re: [slim] Lms
Cover Art Sorry if you know this but feel it is important to mention how LMS deals with cover art and the order it uses to decide what to display If album art is embedded in files it will use the embedded art from the FIRST track file it finds within a folder - having different cover art in different files is therefore a redundant exercise. If no embedded art is found LMS looks for the existence of folder.jpg or cover.jpg within the album folder and uses that. Competent rippers such as dbPoweramp can be set up in such a way as to not create embedded art in FLACs but instead to always create folder.jpg A useful online resource for high quality artwork is albumartexchange.com - account required but free. Amongst other things MAI can look up and display Artist images. If you want that - it looks superb in Material - then you can designate a specific artist artwork folder. MAI will then scan for artist images and place them into this folder. Usefully if it can't find an image it will also create a 0 byte file called "exact artist name.missing". You can use then manually populate with an image of your choice by finding a .jpg or .png of said arist and renaming it "exact artist name".jpg and delete the .missing file accordingly. This is OK if you are running a system which makes no use of internet services or external connections. However if you do use internet services then the need to update (regularly not necessarily "constantly") can vary from system required changes to SSL/TLS (e.g. Heartbleed, TLS 1.1,1.2 downgrades ), to better support of podcasts or to support changes in internet service such as Tidal, Deezer, Accuradio etc. If you do not update often services break or at worst leave your home network system open to a cyber attack or theft of personal details. For the last 2 years, many users have posted "my favorite station just stopped playing" and very often it is because their system (OS and/or LMS) is not up to date. If the LMS is there for a dependent, often the dependent will not complain and not say anything and suffer the lack of service. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=115782 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
