Re: [slim] Who repairs Squeezebox Touch ?
[slim] Restart required to update plugins... but which plugins?
Hello. When I navigate to the Plugins page a pop up tells me: "Settings Changes will take place at the next application restart. Please click here to restart the server now." How can I tell which plugins require updating? I know it is listed somewhere as I saw it once, but I have just looked all thorough both Material Skin (the one I prefer) and Default and can find no mention of them anywhere. I've also been through all the forums posts mentioning it, but still no help. As the popup appears only when I navigate to the plugins page I assume it is a/some plugins that need updating, not LMS itself? I have this version: Logitech Media Server Version: 8.2.0 - 1627922070 @ Tue Aug 3 11:28:42 WEDT 2021 And it's set to automatically check for update and download them. Thanks very much for any help. Re: [slim] Lms
mherger wrote: > Classical music is hard to get right. And the sources the plugin uses > certainly are not optimized for classical music. Agreed. I remember reading years ago an article about how the tagging system generally adopted is pretty useless for classical music. I think there are music services that work round the problems, to a degree. And, as I said, the other problem is the untidiness of my database. The Brandenburg example I show illustrates the lack of album art in one linked album - but that album was a free download collected years ago from some record company. Naxos? It has only track numbers and no concerto numbers or movement names - I expect it was offered for download without those data. The Cathedral CDs are probably not in the main catalogue and that's why they have no art. Nevertheless, the plugin is a great resource. Thank you.
