It looks like AAC transcoding (i.e. faad/flac) has not been setup on your NAS perhaps because it does not have enough processing power. I have attached screen dumps of the Avanced/File type setting of both the DS207+ and the DS212+. I must admit that I have no knowledge of these things whatsoever, but for me as a simple user it look as if faad/flac is installed on both machines. What is obvious in the comparison is that MP3 can not be set in the DS212+. I assume now that squeeze player does function with the DS207+ because of the faad/lame, which is not present in the DS212+. PS: the DS207+ is 5 years old with only 128Mb memory, The DS212+ has 512Mb. Thank you for your help. bpa;697524 Wrote: By default LMS should use faad/flac and so not having lame should not be an issue unless you have enabled Bit Rate limiting for the player. I do not know how/where to set the Bit rate for the Squeezeplay Beta. If it is on the player end, it would be the same for DS207+ and DS212+. So still no explanation for the difference in behaviour between DS207+ and DS212+. [slim] Internet radio problem with v7.71 SPK not with v7.7.1 SSODS
I have installed the LMS package 7.7.1 from Synology on a new DSDS212+ (DSM 4.0) and an equivalent SSODS package on a DS207+ (DSM 3.1) I have a list of favorites that play fine on Radio, Touch and Squeezeplay Beta (the Windows soft player) with the exception of a number of internet radio station url's which do not play in Squeezeplay Beta when served from the DS212+. One of the examples is: http://opml.radiotime.com/Tune.ashx?id=s78015formats=aac,ogg,mp3,wmpro,wma,wmvoicepartnerId=16serial=8d33dd673a58e95786a3d8eef172631b The only difference I see in LMS server settings under player/audio is the note: You do not appear to have LAME installed. Logitech Media Server will need the LAME MP3 encoder installed on your system to do conversion to MP3. You can find out more about LAME here. I did install audio station hoping it would solve the problem. Any one here who has a clue how to tackle this problem?
