[Dx4win] my new 7.06.02 log file Q's missing?
I upgraded to DX4WIN 7.06.02 last night. I had no problem with getting it running, but. The new program is missing many of my QSO's? I'm using the same log file that resides in my DX4WIN version 7.05. I run the old program with this log file and, there they are, all my Q's? The log file is fine. By the way, the new program appears to resolve the issue with the K3 not jumping to the correct mode when using the packet cluster clicking. Any help with my missing Q's when using the new DX4WIN version? George W2YJ ___ Dx4win mailing list Dx4win@mailman.qth.net http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win

Hi George, Are you sure it is your log and not the sample log? Did you import the dx4win.ini ? Did you copy your log in the new dx4win directory? [Dx4win] ADIF IMPORT ANOMALY
Hi Paul, I have just installed the 7.06.02 release. NOT changes found in the ADIF import anomaly that I have indicated to you on june!! So, try yourself 1) - Export a log in ADIF mode. In the ADIF file produced you find the QSL_VIA field (This is correct !!) 2) - Import the data from the same ADIF file. The Notes for this call field will be populated by QSL VIA ETC (This is wrong !!) DX4WIN use a proper qsl manager database!!! The IMPORT/EXPORT ADIF FILTER must be modified in the import side. So please modify that routine. Thanks. - Original Message - From: Stefano Cipriani [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: DX4WIN Reflector dx4win@mailman.qth.net Sent: Tuesday, June 10, 2008 10:28 AM Subject: ADIF IMPORT ANOMALY : Hi Paul, : The QSLVIA field was recently included in the Adif export routine. : This is a very helpful add-on!! : Unfortunately, the import routine does NOT work on intelligent way. : In fact it should ignore this field, because dx4win have a separate qsl : manager database!! : Instead it loads the QSLVIA. on the first part of Notes for this : call, before the name of the operator, ruining all the data file. : The only way to have a clean import is to edit the exported file with a text : editor, to change the QSLVIA label with _QSLVIA. : Can we hope to have this bug fixed as soon as possible? : Thanks Paul : 73 : Steve, I0MWI : : : -- Caselle da 1GB, trasmetti allegati fino a 3GB e in piu' IMAP, POP3 e SMTP autenticato? [Dx4win] Re: ADIF imports
Jim, is this only for WriteLog conversions? And will this work with the ARRL 160 contest too? I imported OM K9OT's ADIF log from NA into DX4WIN for LOTW uploading yesterday. Looks like the state field needs to be done by hand. I can donate his contest log if you need a guinea pig. And I know we will be doing the CQ 160 contests coming up. I only need a few states for 160 WAS. When we finally make the big switch to a Windows contesting program, I expect it will be N1MM, not WriteLog because of the cost. [Dx4win] Help with Ignore mode in real time
Dear DX4WIN users, What appears to be random occurrences, the Radio:Ignore mode in real time becomes activated. I cannot figure out why this is happening. I am using an IC775 with a USB microham interface, DX4WIN ver 7.05.03 It is reading the mode / frequency correctly as I change them on the radio. If I go to the RTTY or PSK31 windows and close them, it does not force the ignore mode in real time function as I thought this might have something to do with it. So what conditions force DX4WIN program to into Ignore mode in real time ? Any help would be appreciated. RE: [Dx4win] DX4WIN Version 7.06
Hi Paul Thanks for the recent update; I have successfully completed this, as you may have seen. I really appreciate your continued support of this product, as I am sure many others do. I may have missed the link, I thought there was a list to reported faults, but could not find it. There is one issue that continually bugs me, and I guess others: When importing ADIF files ; it would be good if we had the option (or dare I say default !) to set the Upload log flag. I have 2 scenario's: - I have done a contest (usually with WT !); and want to import the QSO's to my logging programme, for onward upload to LOTW, and I want my Log to manage this. Because I have no chance to set the upload flag, I have to manually change a lot of flags - I use a shack PC, and another for uploading // managing QSL's in the house. This means that I transfer log updates from the shack to the 2nd PC, and would want to do onwards uploads. I understand that the reason this behaviour occurs is that the Upload field is probably not an ADIF one; but could a prompt be made available, either in a menu or in a pop up dialogue box ? 73 Dave G3NKC -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Paul van der Eijk Sent: 08 December 2008 02:59 To: dx4win@mailman.qth.net Subject: [Dx4win] DX4WIN Version 7.06 Hi, I have uploaded DX4WIN version 7.06 to the website. If the rig is on SSB and I click on a CW spot, say 7044, the rig goes to 7044.7. If I click on the same spot again, the rig shows 7044... 2. If I then click on another CW spot, the rig goes to the correct frequency. 3. If I then click on a SSB spot 14185 (Rig still on CW), the rig goes to 14184.3. If I click on the same spot, the frequency read 14185... Re: [Dx4win] DX4WIN Version 7.06 and the FT2000 and FT9000
I believe Paul swapped the commands to send freq and mode from 7.05 to 7.06: The radio driver now writes the frequency first followed by the mode; this change was needed for K3 radios This could be the cause of the difference you noticed. - Jim On Mon, Dec 8, 2008 at 2:01 PM, Louis Dietrich [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: DX4Winers, and Paul I am experiencing some problems with the latest version...
