Re: [Dx4win] Save Directory
Also how do I stop DX4W9UPD.LOG file being saved into My Documents folder. This file is of no interest to me so would prefer it not to be saved at all or possibly saved in DX4Win SAVE folder or in a sub folder of My Documents. Re: [Dx4win] ver9
FAO: Paul KK4HD I echo K4WI’s request that an option be provided in DX4WIN to avoid having to press F9 every time the program is started so the auto atu is set for the particular frequency and the program is ready for entering a QSO. I think this should be the default and should be fine for most people using the program. I find it a nuisance to have to press F9 every time I switch on my radio and the program before I can start operating. Re: [Dx4win] The F9 problem again
Also I find it tedious having to press F9 every time I start DX4WIN so that (1) DX4WIN reads my radio frequency and (2) the radio frequency gets communicated to the ATU in my Expert amp so I am ready to either receive or transmit and (3) DX4WIN is ready to log my first QSO. Could that not happen automatically or would that present a problem for some reason? I have mentioned this before but now might be an opportunity to do something about this? Certainly this problem does not exist with the contest logging programs like N1MM. Re: [Dx4win] question
David But why, when DX4WIN starts, doesn't it come up automatically with the QSO entry blank? Every time I start DX4WIN I have to hit F9 so the frequency of my radio is received into the QSO window from the radio via the CAT connection and the frequency is sent to my Expert 1K-FA amplifier to set the ATU for the correct frequency sub band. When I first switch on before hitting F9 I hear nothing from my receiver because the ATU is not tuned! However DX4WIN has always had this problem so I guess it will not get changed any time soon so any further detailed info you could provide about using AutoHotKey to overcome the F9 problem and automatically connect the packet window could be very useful to many of us. Hopefully this will work better.) I haven't seen it actually log the contact. It does pull up the last entry, but it's filled with all the info (time, date, frequency, etc) from the QSO so it's not in the "ready to log" state. For an overkill solution, you could use AutoHotKey and script it to blank out that field (a few F9's). I use it to set up my "operating environment", which includes connecting the packet window and a few other things. [Dx4win] CW keying issue?
I have been following the "CW Keying Issue" thread in the archive, but the thread seemed to come to an end on 28 Dec 2009 without a resolution. I have the same problem here. I am using v8.03, Windows 7, USB to serial converter, COM1, PTT delay 1, DTR = CW keying, RTS = PTT. When I start a CW keyboard message the FT1000MP locks on key down. Is there any more info on this problem? 73, Ian G3RVM __ Dx4win mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Dx4win@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
