Re: [Dx4win] 7.06 won't set split on K3

2009-02-03 Thread Bob Thompson - N9SF
This might might get it going for you.

Download and install DX4WIN 7.07.

Use the Elecraft K3 X4 rig file that downloads with version 7.07.

If you are using LP_Bridge, I have found that something gets out of
whack with it at times. When LP_Bridge gets off track, modes on VFO
B and split can be wrong after double clicking a DX spot. Restarting
LP_Bridge seems to correct the problem.

I hope this helps.

With split being turned off for no reason, it makes one a lid very quickly

Is there a resolution to this?

I wonder what I am doing wrong ... in either the manual 'set
frequency' tool, or by selecting a DX spot that is set for split VFO
mode, the 'split' indicator on the K3 is activated ... but does not
stay in that mode. It just 'clicks' to split mode for a moment and
then reverts to VFO A mode.

manually going into split mode on the radio works fine.

I have tried this at both 4800 and 38400 bps speeds, to see if that
made any difference. None.

Ideas?

Thanks Bob.

I was not using LP Bridge at the time, but I will keep this in mind when I
do.

I suspect that using the K3 X4 rig definition may resolve it. I saw
that, but I did not know what its purpose was so I did not try it.

2009-02-03 Thread Robert Naumann
It works perfectly for me now as I have just QSYed to 14094 for FW5RE and my
K3 is set to split mode and VFO B is on the correct split frequency.

I am also running LP Bridge now too, and everything is working perfectly.
