[Dx4win] Rig Control and PSK
Dear David, I did not realize the 'Check' on 'Default'. First I tried as IC-7851, the control was briefly flashing to the 2nd RX without any reason. Then I selected IC-7600 98 19200, then working as expected. Thanks for your help. 73 OM de NN5T Jon __ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net Message delivered to arch...@mail-archive.com This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
Re: [Dx4win] Rig Control and PSK
Jon, DX4WIN does support 19200. It may be that the default for that radio is 9600. If so, on Radio tab, uncheck "Default" under "Baud Rate" and enter 19200 in that field. [Dx4win] Rig Control and PSK
Trying to operate PSK with my IC-7300 and DX4WIN. I've got the USB setup and working on port 20 and I can read the freq into DX4WIN V-8. When I open the PSK window and do an Alt-S to set TX keying I get an exception when I try to set keying to Port 20. The 7300 work wonderfully using WSJT-x off of port 20 no problems. Both control and keying works fine. Why not with DX4WIN. [Dx4win] rig control Kenwood 950sdx
Hi all This weekend I hooked up my win7 laptop dx4win 8.05 to the 950sdx. I purchased a usb to serial FTDI cable. The result was the only thing I could control on the 950 was the mode, frequency did not change. I next tried using my desktop station xp with dx4win 7.07. This setup was working 3 years ago when I moved. I got the same result. I looked at the rig file and they are identical. The cabling is the same except the laptop has the new USB to serial FTDI cable connected. Do you think the rig file is corrupt on both systems? Any ideas would be great. Guy, thanks much for working on this. The 3000 works with your 5000 rig file except when I click on a Split spot it will put the rig in split, but doesn't do the correct Mode in VFO B, and then Times out. With the 950 Rig file the rig will go into Split, but VFO B, not correct mode. But the radio doesn't time out. [Dx4win] Rig control
Hi All: I need some help. My station is set up for SO2R contesting. I use DX4WIN as my general logging software. My issue is how do I toggle the rigs when on SSB when using DX4WIN? I want to leave my rigs' mic connections connected to the SO2R box and use my headset mic that is connected to the computer sound card for SSB. I don't want to disconnect the above and install the base station mic for general use. I tried toggling the rigs in the File drop down box to see if that would do it..nope. I toggle the rigs for receive only. I do get audio from the headset through the computer, the SO2R box and to a rig, just happens it is my SP rig. I want the audio to go to my run radio. General purpose operation and chasing DX , not contesting. Thank you in advance Michael WG0M Any intelligent fool can make things bigger, more complex, and more violent. [Dx4win] Rig control DX4Win Ver7.01
Marc, Thanks for your advice, I have tried copying the files over but no result. Bill W5VW (who alos has a radio control problem with the 950SDX) sent me a specific file for the TS950SDX, this is better, on clicking on a spot the mode changes correctly but nothing happens to the frequency. When I first activated DX4Win 7.01, clicking on a spot just changed the rig to cw, whatever the mode of the spot, so this is an improvement. I don't know if I have found a bug but it looks likely. 73 Andy G3SVD -Original Message- From: Marc Wullaert [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Saturday, November 12, 2005 3:17 PM To: Andy Hewitt; DX4WIN List Subject: Re: [Dx4win] Rig control DX4Win Ver7.01 copy the file from version 6.04 dx4win6/radios/ xx to your new dx4win7/radios folder and see what is happening with the radio probely the files is screwed or you did find a bug in version 7. on4ma marc - Original Message - From: Andy Hewitt [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Qth. [Dx4win] Rig control DX4Win Ver7.01
Tom, Many thanks for your help. Still exactly the same. I am also uinterfacing to two rigs, the 950SDX and a TS570SDG. Both are interfaced to the PC via MicroHam USB adaptors. The 570 works as it should, as the 950 used to. 73 Andy G3SVD -Original Message- From: Tom LeClerc W1TJL [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Saturday, November 12, 2005 4:22 PM To: Andy Hewitt Subject: Re: [Dx4win] Rig control DX4Win Ver7.01 Hi Andy, I use the 950SDX and the 690SAT both with Version 7.01 with no problems. BTW, my interface is the Microham fr the 950SDX and the IF-232 for the 690. Hope this helps... 73, Tom W1TJL On 11/12/05, Andy Hewitt [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Marc, Thanks for your advice, I have tried copying the files over but no result. [Dx4win] Rig control for Yaesu FT-857 or FT-817
I'm running DX4WIN version 6.03. I could have sworn that a while back I was able to get DX4WIN to communicate with my FT-817 and FT-857D, but now I can't figure out how. After switching the rig type to FT-1000MP (while using my 1000MP) I was unable to set the rig type to something that would work with my FT-857D. There appear to be no rig type settings for the 817 or 857D. Anyone know what rig setting will work (if any) with these two rigs? [Dx4win] Rig control for Kenwood TS570S
Having downloaded the new demo of DX4WIN (I am an owner of 3.05), I see no difference in the cosmetics of the program or too many feature changes. Can someone point me to a site or tell me the differences between the new version and 3.05 and why I might be persuaded to upgrade as my current version does exactly what I want it to do? :) 73 DE AI3W, Rick

There has been tremendous evolution since 4.07, and 3.05 isn't even on the scope. 73, Pete N4ZR 2671 calls now in the World HF Contest Station Database at www.pvrc.org/wcsd/wcsdsearch.htm
[Dx4win] Rig control for Kenwood TS570S
Hi all, I am running dx4win ver6.02. and want to control two rigs TS950SDX( which I have been contolling for years thru ver 4.xx), and a TS570S which I cannot get the program to recognise. The Kenwood options offered in preferences--radio are:- Kenwood / 850-950(that works for my 950) / 2000 / 870 - no option for 570. None of the options seem to work. Which should I use or is there a suitable driver available somewhere? 73 Andy G3SVD --- StripMime Report -- processed MIME parts --- multipart/alternative text/plain (text body -- kept) text/html The reason this message is shown is because the post was in HTML or had an attachment. [Dx4win] Rig control for Kenwood TS570S
Hi Andy, I have a TS570S here that (if my memory serves) was not too fussy about the radio selection when talking to DX4WIN. I think I used Kenwood with s-meter. Can you communicate with the 570 with another program? I think the 570 default is 9600-1. i.e. Are the port parameters all set right in both the radio and the DX4WIN preferences? If you don't get it going by 1300-1400Z 20Mar04, drop me a note, I'll be in the shack for a time then and I can check the settings I used and let you know.
