Re: [Elecraft] Elecraft T1 Tuner Issue
Hi Thomas, I didn't solve it yet, but I haven't given up. I'm in Finland working at the moment, but will be home tomorrow - I'll find and forward the email I had from Elecraft giving some pointers about where to look. Re: [Elecraft] Elecraft T1 Tuner Issue
Some additional information * the firmware version is 1.07, not 1.7 * The yellow LED is flashing in groups of 4 with a period of about 1 second, and a small (<1s) delay before the next group of 4. * The unit doesn't power off. * This is with a new battery. Other than this, it all seems to be working. Any ideas? Many thanks! In fact, tapping the BYP button without first tapping the PWR button does exactly that - the tuner is toggled between in-circuit and bypass, as demonstrated by the yellow and green LEDs. The info function seems to work as expected as well. The other issue - the unit doesn't seem to turn itself off - If I leave it with the battery in, the yellow LED continues to flash seemingly indefinitely. I don't remember this behaviour last time I used it, and looking in the handbook seems to suggest it isn't the normal behaviour. Can any of you give me any advice about this issue? According to the sticker on the processor, I am running firmware 1.7 1.07. Many thanks! I'm interested in the opinions of trusted sources before I plunk down the green for the kit. I've used the T1 with my 817 for over a year. It is reliable, easy to use and solid. I am selling my 817 and I want to include the T1 in the sale so it is an attractive offering to the new purchaser, but I have pangs of doubt over parting with the T1 Even though I really do not need it anymore, it was so useful that I'm sure at some point in the future I will regret selling it. I also had the FT817-to-T1 cable but because it uses the same port as the CAT (or was it the data port) control, I rarely attached it at my home QTH. In the field, it was awesome. There is a fairly trivial cable you can built to accommodate both the CAT and T1 cable - I just never got around to building it. As close to having a built-in tuner as you could want. The size of the T1 is simply amazing - and as an aside, I have yet to change the battery. 73 Alan K2ACK -- Alan Hawrylyshen - K2ACK CM86xx - Santa Cruz CA k 2 a c k a t a r r l d o t n e t k 2 a c k a t p o l y p h a s e d o t c a http://k2ack.polyphase.ca/ __ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
