Re: [FairfieldLife] Re: UK Latest - Britain for sale
Somewhat related to your post Here in Fairfield a local Jyotish gem dealer said that many came to her before the recert course wanting to sell their Jyotish rings to get money for the course. Nadine Cohen sold Sidha Insurance. Others pulled up stakes in various ways. I suspect they all believed the movement's promise to pay $4000 monthly salaries - $8000 for a couple. That's pretty good money for a lot of people - very good for many who have been barely surviving in Fairfield. I the salaries are not paid, which I strongly suspect will happen, it's going to be a wake up call for many people. Others will roll with the punch and stick their chin out again. on 5/22/05 3:11 AM, Ingegerd at [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: It seems to be big changes in the lifes of all the TM-Teachers and other devotees in Great Britain and other countries -. Is it possible to start a network of counselling groups helping those hit by the destructing forces in the Movement? This is a practical question. I rather support a fund- raising to help people struggling with their finances because they have given all they have to the Movement than send money to India. And do not mention the word Karma to me. [FairfieldLife] Project for Invincibility to Lebanon
Title: Project for Invincibility to Lebanon Dear Friends, Maharishi has been very concerned about Lebanon since it recently lost the government it had for 30 years and is presently without any governmentThe streets of Beirut are full of rioting and unrestBut Maharishi is about to turn this land of the garden of Eden into a beacon of light for the whole world..Please read on and if you can help in anyway, it is urgently needed. Jai Guru Dev Graciella Original Message Subject: Project for Invincibility to Lebanon Date: Sat, 21 May 2005 13:02:27 +0300 From: Ziad [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: Ziad [EMAIL PROTECTED] Beirut, May 20, 2005 Dear friends, Maharishi has recently expressed his deep concern about Lebanon becoming a 'football of foreign powers' whose main purpose is to divide and rule. The only way to save the country from being broken into pieces and becoming a football to foreign powers, is to quietly create a peaceful atmosphere and a highly integrated national consciousness that will make the nation truly invincible. The way to do it is to establish a large coherence-creating group. To help Lebanon rise above all its problems and become truly invincible, Maharishi proposed to send 500 vedic pundits (peace-creating experts) from the vedic families of India to Lebanon where they will be performing powerful vedic technologies of consciousness that include group practice of transcendental meditation and yogic flying, yagyas, graha shanti, vedic recitations, and other powerful vedic technologies for creating and stabilizing a permanent state of peace, prosperity and invincibility in Lebanon and the Middle-East. Through their daily performances, they will be radiating a powerful influence of coherence and harmony that will neutralize the existing stresses and tensions in the collective consciousness, which are the root cause of disharmony and conflicts prevailing in the Middle East region. As a result, peace, prosperity and affluence will be re-established in the area, and Lebanon will restore its central role and become a lighthouse of peace and enlightenment for the whole world. This approach to national invincibility and world peace has been validated by hundreds scientific studies conducted in more than 200 independent universities and research institutes in over 30 countries during the past 35 years.(See attached file for more details). Therefore, an appeal is being made to all the peace-loving people to support this most urgently needed Project to host 500 vedic pundits (peace-creating experts) in Lebanon and create a powerful influence of coherence, peace and harmony in the collective consciousness, raising the nation to the highest level of strength and integration - True sovereignty in Invincibility. This group of vedic pundits will create an integrated national consciousness and enliven the support of the invincible power of Natural Law for the whole nation. A large group of vedic pundits directly accessing the Unified Field of Natural Law, the field of pure consciousness, will create a giant wave of coherence, which will spread through Lebanon, the region and whole world. The result will be a problem-free, conflict-free national life and a perpetually peaceful family of nations. Every well-wishing individual is warmly invited to participate in the funding of this project through direct donations to the Middle East Foundation for the Science of Creative Intelligence, a non-profit charitable association that will collect the necessary donations and implement the project in a most efficient and transparent manner. This is what I find interesting about TB thought processes -- overnight a place can go from being considered the most profound on earth to the most wicked on earth based on what rationalizes the belief system best. It is amazing to watch, isn't it. It's a great lesson in the delusional power of the mind. When so much is invested in mind it powerfully perverts and distorts simple awareness and experience to conform to specific mental concepts. This is all in the service of avoiding emotional discomfort. The mind wants to carry on its own little melodrama and your precious life with such an opportunity to awaken is sacrificed in the process. This is a very important point! So Vaj is confusing these two mantras. No I am not. I indicated there were TWO mantras. The only way to know for sure is to have the actual mantric character itself or an authentic transliteration. I also gave a modern example of parallel movements where the fire mantra is specifically used. I think Vaj is confusing here Hindu teachings with Buddhist teachings. No I am specifically referring to Hindu teaching in the context to which you refer, specifically yoga-darshana and samkhya. In Buddhist teachings such techniques as Mahamudra (or Dzochen or Maha-Ati respectively) are regarded as highest meditation techniques. The principles of these techniques are very similar to TM, in that they don't allow for effort or any attempt to modify ones consciousness. As someone trained in all the series of Ati-yoga (Dzogchen) I can tell you there is no similarity to TM. The primary similarity in Buddhism would be to shinay (shine). Consciousness is always perfect and aware of itself, and it should not be attempted to be altered according to Dzogchen. Dzogchen does not rely on props like a mantra, but relies on the energy transmission of the 'true view' by a Dzogchen master. Dzogchen does not rely on an energy transmission. [FairfieldLife] Re: UK Latest - Britain for sale
No, no lawyer - my request was more as a symbolic protest. In any case meditators have carefully been kept in effective isolation from each other - there is no sense of community except for the European Siddhaland - so no way to contact eachother to act as a group. Also a legal challenge might itself be expensive.. Better than that would be for OTHER meditators around the world to ACT NOW to keep assets within THEIR country, STOP giving donations - at least without first pointing out how the Brits have been treated unethically etc and GET TOGETHER as a community, if possible. Ingegerd mentioned help - probably connecting to a forum like FFL is a start.. maybe in future one could help by highlighting the existence of INDEPENDENT teachers. Now is the time to make such informal networks more FORMAL.. at least in the UK. But just supposing David Lynch manages to convince someone like Lord Sainsbury to finance a 7,000 group for the UK (he WANTS to give away £1billion.. but presumably not to TMO) would MMY change his mind? --- In FairfieldLife@yahoogroups.com, Ingegerd [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Have you consulted a Lawyer about this? Ingegerd I've asked for the return of my last donation but got no reply.. What I don't understand is that the organization promotes itself as a charity - so maybe not all funds can leave the country so easily? Every well-wishing individual is warmly invited to participate in the funding of this project through direct donations to the „Middle East Foundation for the Science of Creative Intelligence‰, a non-profit charitable association that will collect the necessary donations and implement the project in a most efficient and transparent manner. Re: [FairfieldLife] Re: Who is the best spin-doctor?
I visited HM for a few days in the summer of 2000. They weather isn't so good there, being at the top of a mountain, and it was cloudy and rainy much of the time I was there. Unbelievably, the TMO spent three years looking for a place with an ideal climate before deciding on a mountain in Boone. I visited several rooms belonging to old friends and some had pretty impressive quarters, meaning a loft and, I think, at least two rooms on the first floor. They had to get in early and pay extra for that - they didn't all have residences like that. The atmosphere there was a far distant second to the atmosphere in Fairfield, though. --- markmeredith2002 [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: --- In FairfieldLife@yahoogroups.com, vedic8000 [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Purusha and THMD have incredible support of nature to get kicked out of a place of conflict and greed. Right ho. So do any Brits reading this care to comment on the current sentiment regarding the movement they have created being liquidated and the proceeds being sent to India without their consent? I wouldn't find this slightly disturbing if I were fully convinced the money was actually going to be used for pundits. Some comments about the UK: The Independent newspaper is campaigning for electoral reform, for proportional representation (of course T Blair saying not necessary). Just 22% of the electorate backed Blair, he won 36% of the votes cast, and 55% of the seats in the House of Commons. It seems strange for the TMO to rail against democracy - and then react when it's shown not to work. The fundamental issue it seems to me is that Blair represents the greatest problem in our society as a whole - that of image. It permeates every aspect of our lives. Just look at the DSM IV description of narcissistic personality disorder - and then look at Bush and Blair - and the societies they represent. Blair is wrecking British society - schools are like a warzone (just talk to a few beleagured teachers) because of pupil behaviour and the overall yob culture, hospitals and transport struggling, immigration out of control (if you trumpet cool Britannia's image you can't then complain if people want to come there - but it is just an image), cultural integrity eroded, young people and key workers cannot afford homes etc etc. But people say the atmosphere on that huge march against the Iraq war was absolutely fantastic. It is terribly sad for the many dedicated people involved in TM, the ones who have given the most. If money had not been frittered away over the years on image-type projects then there might be more established. But there are a lot of people growing and developing, leading their lives in wonderful ways. You can't just substitute one field for another - just spiritual whilst ignoring the psychological, and vice versa. We're here in bodies for a reason! Perhaps the age of gurus is coming to an end - we have to be co-creators. As Jung said: God wants to be born in the flame of man's consciousness, leaping ever higher. And what if this has no roots in the earth? If it is not a house of stone where the fire of Godcan dwell, but a wretched straw hut that flares up and vanishes? Could God then be born? One must be able to suffer God. That is the supreme task for the carrier of ideas. He must be the advocate of the earth. God will take care of himself. My inner principle is: Deus et homo. God needs man in order to become conscious, just as he needs limitation in time and space. Let us therefore be for him limitation in time and space, an earthly tabernacle. I doubt the die-hards with families and homes there have any plans to stop what they have been doing for 20 years or more. For many years there has been a somewhat less than open division in the community in Skelmersdale, with a significant number of people who have always wanted the Sidhaland to be located elsewhere - preferably the south of England, but anywhere other than Skelmersdale, which for those of you do not know, was started in the 1960's as project housing for low income residents of Liverpool - i.e. level the slums of Liverpool and bring the residents to Skelmersdale. There is a great north-south divide in England, and for many people in the south to consider even moving to Skelmersdale was just too much. It never worked to the degree the local government envisaged and the amount of vacant (and free) project housing available in the late 1970's was the only reason it was chosen as the Sidhaland site. Current residents were also told last year by MMY that the whole setting was inappropriate, even before TMO was closed down in UK. It only has about 240 adult residents and about 90 children (and it is now in its 25th year), and it is generally accepted by residents there that there will be no more growth. Houses are very cheap there with the most expensive ones being those built according to Sthapyaveda standards - and with the market for such houses going to zero overnight, it is easy to see the effect on the prices of such houses. For regular houses, the desire for people of Liverpool and Manchester to live in Skelmersdate is, quite bluntly, zero. It is still considered the projects of these two cities. PS Even with the current exchange rate favorable to the British pound, there are very, very few $400,000 (British Pounds 200,000) houses in Skelmersdale. Skelmersdale is, and has been since it was first invented in the 1960's, a low-income, projects town with almost zero infrastructure. [FairfieldLife] Coherence Alert System
With all this talk of the TMO pulling out of countries, I think it's time to institute a Color-Coded Coherence Alert System (CCAS) for safety on the world scale, esp. until the dawn of Sat Yuga, later this summer. Gold gilt: Sat Yuga Yellow: Spontaneous Siddhis, spontaneous awakening, telepathic communication, governments pay for coherence thru taxation. Orange: TM still present on all continents, peace dawns, 10% certified meditators and sidhas worldwide, some governments tax people for coherence. [FairfieldLife] 2 Esdras 11-13 was benny's new scam
Title: 7,000 in Israel quote could just mean flying around in airplanes. we need a jewish scholar to real translate this. this is nice of benny that asshole to use the messiah myth just for some more bogus TM punditry. Want a scary prophecy read 2 Esdras 11-13. - Original Message - From: Rick Archer To: FairfieldLife@yahoogroups.com Sent: Sunday, May 22, 2005 12:10 PM Subject: [FairfieldLife] 7,000 in Israel quote Fax from Benny Feldman to Bobby Roth12/24/94Jai Guru DevWe came across an interesting quote from the 1600s. We are going to popularize this vision showing that with the group of 7,000 flyers in Israel we are preparing the ground for the Messiah to come and proclaim his blessings for all mankind. With best wishes.BennyFrom the Book Hesed LAvrahamBy Rabbi Avraham Afulai (lived in the 17th century)About the Glory in Israel on the Arrival of the MessiahKnow that we have a tradition of Kabalah that on that day when the Messiah King arrives, together with the gathering of the Diaspora he will find there in Israel 7,000 of the children of Israel. And on that day the dead[1] #_ftn1 in Israel will rise and also on that day the walls of Jerusalem will go away, and he will build them again from precious stones and pearls. And then the dead who are in Israel will come back on their revival to a new spiritual creation. And also the 7,000 who are alive at that time, there, will also all be a new creationa body of spirituality like the body of the first man before he had sinned, and like the bodies of Hanoch, Moses and Elisha, and they will all rove in the air and fly like eagles and all of this will be in front of those gathered from the Diaspora. And when this gathering will see their brothers become new creations and fly in the air to live in the Garden of Eden, to learn the scripture from the mouth of God, then they will gather together And the Messiah King will reply [to the gathering of the Diaspora] God will give you immeasurable wealth as all silver and gold and precious stones and pearls that are drowned in any of the seas. That sea is ordered to bring it all to the sea of Jaffa . Everything will come to the Sea of Jaffa and it will eject it and the Messiah King will distribute a share to each Tzadik[2] #_ftn2 as he deserves And also all the treasures under the Earth. The land will be made of holes so that all treasures and remedies will roll there and it will bring them to Israel to distribute them to the gathering of the Diaspora, to each one as he deserves, and they will be endowed with much wealth. But those who did not feel for their wealth and bodies and took care of their spirits and souls, God will give them many favors to make them a new creation and lead them to [a Heaven inhabited by mortals]. [FairfieldLife] Consciousness migrants coming your way
From a friend in the UK: Hi, I haven't been keeping up with ffl - just having a peep now and then. It seems quite a lot of people in Skelmersdale are planning to move to Fairfield - people and at least one business. Mind you - the tone of the press conference last week I thought the US was going to be the next for the big switch-off - so it could be out of the frying pan . Your recerts will be eagerly awaiting their first pay-check. Maybe they'll get it when the pundits come. Mood in the UK seems surprisingly upbeat among the sidhas. I suppose adversity brings people together - the 'Dunkirk Spirit'. I don't think there is much left here to sell off. All the academies are gone. I don't think any TM centre is in the name of the TMO - they are individuals' houses or possibly one or two owned by local organisations. Anyway hope you enjoyed seeing our George Galloway having a go at the Senate committee. [FairfieldLife] US India
http://theaustralian.news.com.au/common/story_page/0,5744,15353310% 255E12250,00.html India's Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will visit Washington in July, with Bush reportedly saying this will be treated as a grand event, and at the year's end Bush will visit India The Bush administration, far more cohesive with Condoleezza Rice as Secretary of State, has launched a diplomatic offensive with India that is stunning in its rhetoric and serious in its content. India's relations with the US are now the best they have ever been, says Rajiv Sikri, the senior official on East Asia at India's external affairs ministry. Bush and Rice earlier this year developed the outline for a decisively broader strategic relationship between the US and India. When Rice went to New Delhi she presented this outline to Singh, its purpose being to help India become a major world power in the 21st century, the abiding dream of the Indian elite. The spokesman continued: We [the US] understand fully the implications, including military implications, of that statement. It is rare in the past 100 years that a US president has sent a signal of this dimension. It means the US will help India realise the global aspiration that its size, geography and its post-1991 economic reform agenda has made into a national obsession. Events are moving fast. The US is offering India a top-of-the-line version of the F-16, hi- tech defence and space co-operation in terms of satellites and launch vehicles, Patriot and Arrow missiles, and access to civilian nuclear technology. (India's aim is to generate 25 per cent to 30 per cent of its huge energy needs from nuclear.) The strategic dialogue will include global issues, the kinds of issues you would discuss with a world power, the State Department spokesman said. The US was prepared to discuss even more fundamental issues of defence transformation with India, including transformative systems in areas such as command and control, early warning and missile defence. After Rice's visit, US ambassador to India David Mulford said the US and India are poised for a partnership that will be crucial in shaping the international order in the 21st century.
