Maybe - mostly from my perspective I noticed when I first started reading FFL
posts I saw that there was a paintball battle going on between certain folks
and I didn't need to arm myself.

Wise man. What does it say about the egos and self-importance of people that
they feel that they *do* have to not only arm themselves, but keep taking
potshots for almost twenty years.

Feeling that you have to come out with guns blazing in response to every idea
that challenges yours is a sign of weakness, not strength.

[FairfieldLife] MUM announces new chanting program for peace

2014-03-19 Thread TurquoiseBee
In an announcement that will be exciting to all current supporters of the
Pandit Project, the administration of Maharishi University of Management, in
conjunction with the Vedic Organization for Outstanding Doctors of Optimal
Oraculation (V.O.O.D.O.O.) launches a new program to supplement the pandits
chanting for world peace.

This project -- which, in accordance with Maharishi's long-term policies will
be completely funded by donations from loyal TM practitioners around the world
rather than dip into our own bank accounts -- will bring a number of siddhas
skilled at creating coherence, healing the sick, and furthering the
all-important cause of world peace to Fairfield. There, they will practice
their craft in a new compound to be built with YOUR donations, thus allowing
you to participate in the awesome group good karma.

Yes, not content with employing young brown boys from India to chant for world
peace, now V.O.O.D.O.O. will bring to Fairfield fully-grown black doctors from
Africa, who will practice their chants to supplement our all-important efforts
for world peace. These doctors, whose skills Maharishi praised many times,
saying, Like ALL religions in the world, these practices have their basis in
the Science of Creative Intelligence and are thus diluted versions of our
superior Vedic knowledge, are considered the best at what they do, and soon
you can rent them to chant for YOU. The skills of these doctors have been
documented as having produced many cures, and are supported by the *exact same
body of scientific evidence* that shows the efficacy of the Vedic pundits.

Because these doctors are wary of having their photos taken (some of them
believe that steals their souls, so we respect their wishes), we are providing
a short CGI clip of one of these esteemed doctors chanting. Allow the stillness
and creative intelligence of the words to wash over you and enable you to
transcend, and then imagine what such chants can do for you to cure your
lumbago, or to bring about world peace. Then do what you always do after one of
these announcements and cut us a check.

World peace depends on YOU. How can you feel important about yourself if you
don't contribute to it?

I think the Turquoise Bee is referring to the fact that the TMO claims to get
these guys into pundit training when they are adolescents - which seems to not
quite make sense since many of these guys would be too old to have been in a
TMO school in India - but I think that's why he talks about the brown boys,
rather than men folk.

It's amazing how generous you are with Barry, Michael.

Barry has frequently referred to the pandits now in Fairfield as boys,

It's partly a hangover from his Southern upbringing, where men with dark skin

According to Goldstein, the TMO has never employed anyone in the U.S.
pundit program from India under the age of eighteen. Apparently nobody
in the Indian TMO gives out TM initiations before the age of ten years
old, because that's when a child is mature enough to keep a secret.
That's what I read.

It may be the TB's ten year sabbatical over in Europe was what caused
the TB to slide into the racial superiority thinking. I'm not sure he

just about any kind of argument to try and discredit Judy - it's a very

It's probably ALL ABOUT JUDY, which makes the situation even more

I'm not generous with him, or at least I don't feel like I am. I like Barry and
agree with a good bit of his world view. I have also by chance, gotten a fair
amount of higher state of awareness experiences from reading some of his
accounts with Rama, tho I don't think that was radiating directly from the Turq
B so I don't want to go hug up on him and declare him my guru.

I am of the opinion that he was tapping into some of the energy of the
experiences when he wrote about 'em and I was open to feeling the same vibe, so
I felt it too, or as the New Agers would say I resonated with that particular
energy and am feeling it again as I think about it.

I am also an admirer of Barry's writing and appreciate it a good deal. Now I am
not too keen on some of the names he calls folk, tho I am guilty of name
calling myself, particularly here on FFL, and particularly when I have been
speaking of Marshy. But I know Barry don't care what I think - I just was
raised not to call no lady a bad word. Or as Momma used to say Don't be ugly!

But he hasn't reviled me the way he apparently has some here before I
discovered FFL - I must say as I write this, I have been greatly affected by my
participation in FFL - it has changed my feelings about TM, the TMO and M. It
has sparked large experiences in alternate moments of awareness and given me a
forum to share a few stories, both about TM and about my nutty family. So
anyway, much to some folk's distaste I am not opposed to Barry, although I do
wish he would tell more about the time he saw Marshy trying to get a governor
to take a suitcase full of money across international borders and whether or
not the feller did it, but I don't reckon he's gone do it.

Not true Richard, others with Rama's cult saw him levitate, according to the

Students say, at times, that they see different colors of light emanating

levitate, they see him vanish, or they see other special effects.

Not true Richard, others with Rama's cult saw him levitate,
according to the link you posted.

And monkeys are flying out of my butt!

Students say, at times, that they see different colors of light
emanating from him, they see him

levitate, they see him vanish, or they see other special effects.

A gullible student might see anything when they are high on LSD and out
in the desert at night with a crazy guy like Lenz.

Maybe - mostly from my perspective I noticed when I first started reading FFL
posts I saw that there was a paintball battle going on between certain folks
and I didn't need to arm myself. I like Barry and some of the folk he fusses at
so it just is what it is.

I'll just say I think you have some serious
blind spots concerning Barry's behavior (which is about
as ugly as it gets in many different respects)
because you and he agree about TM.

 I'm not
generous with him, or at least I don't feel like I am. I
like Barry and agree with a good bit of his world view. I
have also by chance, gotten a fair amount of higher
state of awareness experiences from reading some of
his accounts with Rama, tho I don't think that was
radiating directly from the Turq B so I don't want to go
hug up on him and declare him my guru.

I am of the opinion that he was tapping into some of the
energy of the experiences when he wrote about
'em and I was open to feeling the same vibe, so I felt
it too, or as the New Agers would say I
resonated with that particular energy and am
feeling it again as I think about it.

I am also an admirer of Barry's writing and appreciate
it a good deal. Now I am not too keen on some of the names
he calls folk, tho I am guilty of name calling myself,
particularly here on FFL, and particularly when I have been
speaking of Marshy. But I know Barry don't care what I
think - I just was raised not to call no lady a bad word. Or
as Momma used to say Don't be ugly!

But he hasn't reviled me the way he apparently has some
here before I discovered FFL - I must say as I write this, I
have been greatly affected by my participation in FFL - it
has changed my feelings about TM, the TMO and M. It has
sparked large experiences in alternate moments of awareness
and given me a forum to share a few stories, both about TM
and about my nutty family. So anyway, much to some
folk's distaste I am not opposed to Barry, although I do
wish he would tell more about the time he saw Marshy trying
to get a governor to take a suitcase full of money across
international borders and whether or not the feller did it,
but I don't reckon he's gone do it.

 It's amazing

how generous you are with Barry, Michael.

 Barry has

frequently referred to the pandits now in Fairfield as

 boys, adolescents, and

teenagers, so I'm afraid your excuse

 doesn't quite work.

 It's

partly a hangover from his Southern upbringing, where men

with dark skin were always boys, and partly a

way of making the Fairfield pandits seem as much like

helpless victims as possible. It isn't benign, I'm

 afraid.

 I think the

Turquoise Bee is referring to the fact that the TMO claims

to get these guys into pundit training when they are

adolescents - which seems to not quite make sense since
 many

of these guys would be too old to have been in a TMO school

in India - but I think that's why he talks about the

brown boys, rather than men folk.

getting Barry to understand something he's been told a

number of times but can't quite seem to absorb--that

 the

pandits in Fairfield are not young brown boys

 (or teenagers or adolescents, as

he's referred to them in other posts) but fully grown

men from 20 to 40 years old? If he's going to post

racist satire, he should at least get the ages

right. (You might also ask him what feel important

 about yourself means.)

 That's

 excellent Barry.

That's funny because when I first arrived at FFL I was asking Bawwy about his
time with Rama and he told me about his book which I had a look at and all I
could think of was how badly it was written. I just couldn't get past the
cliched language, the really dated telling of the story. It just smacked of
those movies you watch from the late 80's and early 90's where you can't help
but chuckle at the bad hair, the terrible clothes and the jargon. Isn't it
amazing how perceptions vary from person to person? And this was before I
realized what a twit Bawwy was so I was really open to liking that book and
comparing his experiences in this cult with my own. But the telling was just so
like those open collared shirts paisley shirts worn with French cut jeans
coupled with long sideburns and a bad 'stache reminiscent of 25 years ago.
Needless to say, I didn't have any higher states of awareness glancing over
Bawwy's book.

Yes, but that wasn't the point. The point was that SOMEBODY else saw it.
Note that I put saw in quotes. I did that for a reason - the point is not
whether it was a drug-induced experience or not. I will give you the
hundreds of times
