I know that and you know that, but we're dealing with a country that actually believes what it sees on television. And what it's seen on television lately doesn't exactly encourage a homeowner to turn his empty house over to someone who has survived Katrina. I'm just saying that to combat the distorted public image of the refugees that has been caused by the actions of a few, some re-education would probably have to take place, along with, say, discounts on the donor's homeowners insurance. They are the ones who would know what houses/apartments were available, and be able to contact the owners to propose such an idea. If anyone sells real estate, especially in Texas or other areas near the affected areas, this sounds like an idea that could actually be implemented and do a lot of good. Yahoo! Actually 1000% mark-up is low-end. I regulary buy the MAPI product Vata Calming Spice Mix (really excellent, by the way) for about $16.00 (not including shipping). Looking at the list of ingredients and having an idea what they cost by themselves retail at my local Indian market, there mark-up appears to be more on the order of 2000%. Yahoo! Saw your stuff on real money. Answer appears to be twenty-five shillings each, leaving five pence for a bag of chips, oh we were happy then, black and white telly, Z- cars and 'yeah yeah yeah'. --- In FairfieldLife@yahoogroups.com, uns_tressor [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: --- In FairfieldLife@yahoogroups.com, shempmcgurk [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: --- In FairfieldLife@yahoogroups.com, uns_tressor [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: --- In FairfieldLife@yahoogroups.com, sparaig [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: --- In FairfieldLife@yahoogroups.com, uns_tressor [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: --- In FairfieldLife@yahoogroups.com, TurquoiseB [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: --- In FairfieldLife@yahoogroups.com, Rick Archer [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: I think I heard that here in Fairfield there are 400 houses on the market. Well, it depends upon how much money the TMO can get from it. There needs to be a least a 1000% mark-up before it can get the official MMY stamp and become intune with natural law. Supposedly all Maharishi Ayurveda ingredients are organic. Also, the markup on MAK for instance isn't nearly 2000%, at least not past what the more expensive versions of Chyavanparash cost in this country. Yahoo! Any thoughts on this idea? Have you passed iton to the Mayor? No, but I talked to Patty Hamilton, who is the most successful realtor in town, and she's been having similar ideas and we're going to talk more. She contacted the mayor (Ed Malloy) but he's out of town for a week. I just emailed a friend who's influential at MUM to see if there is any thought being given to inviting refugees into the pundit housing. The Amma group just had an hour and a half meeting to brainstorm on ways we can help. I'll announce our plans when they're more developed. Yahoo!
