Way OT - MVA 3 cats missing Mom and baby injured
Hi guys, I'm sorry I haven't had time to read or post, my heart is always with you and your babies. I'm forwarding this in the hope that there are suggestions or that someone in the area might be able to help physically. I'm going to meet a fellow rescuer at the crash site to set traps and talk to bus owners and to post fliers. Wish send us prayers in retrieving the lost kitties! The dad has gone at least twice to the crash site to look for the kitties but has not found them or any sign of them. The dad also went to the RV where it was towed and did a complete search of every last nook and cranny. I also thought they might be hiding in there but he is quite sure they are not. I don't have any pictures of the kitties, though they are related to several of my cats and look quite similar, if that helps. I know there are networks that mobilize to look for pets who are missing or lost and I am trying to get that sort of help here. Even if I could travel there myself, I could not do this alone. People are suggesting flyers, traps, calling animal hospitals, animal communicators, and much more but what I am asking for are volunteers. Anyone who could distribute flyers or make calls or set traps. I will reimburse expenses. Please help if you can. Thanks for all the kinds words. I hadn't lost one in a while--and have been fighting lymphoma with a negative for a year, so to lose Herbie (when he had never been sick) was a little shocking. It's always so hard those first few days...you find your self looking for them and calling their names. Tracy

And Joey died of complications of AIHA, so that had nothing to do with this..and the other kitten just dropped dead..i didn't take him in for necropsy...however all my kittens have congestion, sneezing, etc. This one was TINY and he was cold, and I told Dr Samon to use his judgement whether to euth or not. Just a small update on Tomi. I didn't take time off work today, because strangely enough, Tomi is alot better today. He's using the litter box again, and getting around much better. He has quite a large appetite today after eating very little the last week or so. Tomi even looks much more alert and responsive, watching me with big eyes. The last few days, he was just staring into empty space with half-lidded eyes. Considering I was positive i'd be burying my little boy this weekend, this is quite a welcome change. I'm really scared to get my hopes up, that this could just be the calm before the storm, but its so hard not to hope. I would never have dreamed I would lose him after only 2 and a half years. Over the last 7 weeks, i've become even closer to him than ever as I've been trying to nurse him back to health.He's always been so loving and tolerant of my hugs and kisses. Okay, here's the update... Carol and I spent the day canvasing the buildings and people around the crash site and handing out fliers. We even got a flier to someone that feeds ferals very close by, (hoping that the missing kitties show up at her dishes). The good news is that we did see Little Guy, (the black kitty), no sightings yet of the two gray girls. Little Guy was under a shed type building at an auto body shop directly across from the crash site. I saw him and talked to him, the little dear even double blinked at me, but he was too scared to come out amidst the noise of the yard. We set traps all around the building and are hopeful that we'll get him soon. Hopefully his human daddy will be able to go there tonight and coax him out when things are quiet. My prayers and thoughts are with the family, (humans and fur kids alike). Cyndi, please pass this on and keep me updated.
