[Finale] Tool Bar (customization) - reply

2007-04-24 Thread MB

Re: MacFin2007c
How can I get my Tool Bar to retain the order of tools that I wish? I
know how to change the placement of each tool (Command-Shift), and as
long as I have Finale open it stays. I have tried Special Save/Save
Preferences and everything else I can think of, but the next time I
open the program, the Tool Bar is back to it's original order.
I have had to contend with this in every recent version, but this
version doesn't seem to yield a solution. Any ideas?
All the best,
KIM R

select View/Customize Palettes/
then choose whichever toolbar you want to modify,
or continue to
View/Customize Palettes/Toolbars
and do the same thing.
The icons you are already using are on the right. You can add or
subtract by clicking on whatever icon you want.
Hope this helps.

Actually, on Mac, you need to use Program Tool Set (look it up).

Kim,
Read my last message.
PROGRAM. TOOL. SET.
(Then save prefs.)
This is what you want. Search the help files for details.

Extenuating circumstances: I can get a single strip only if I switch

Finale. But the preferred position order will not. If, before I close
the file, I change back to Contemporary palette, it will not stay
there and the order will be back to a default setting.
Also, I have always been important to Save the file and also, under
Edit/Save Special, do Save Prefs. To no avail.
	Any solutions come to mind?

Re: [Finale] TOOL BAR

2004-10-21 Thread laloba2
Hi Kim,
Darcy is right. I just tried it and it works great. Get your
toolbar set up the way you want it. Hold down the option key and go
to ViewProgram Tool SetToolset 1.

Now go back to the view menu without holding option down and choose
Select Toolset Toolset 1. Then, as Darcy said, save your prefs.
Your programmed toolset should come up and stay after you quit and
restart Finale.

Thanks Darcy. I have used Program and Select staff set before but never this.

Have you tried deleting the Finale Preferences file ...

~/Library/Preferemces/Finale 2004 Preferences

... not sure about 2005 but would guess it's at ...

~/Library/Preferemces/Finale 2005 Preferences

... maybe the file has become corrupted. I don't have a problem doing what you
describe.
