Re: [Finale] Just bought Finale - is downloadable manual available (or third-party books on Finale)?
Finale has a great help file section. That is the only user manual that I use…and when I can’t figure things out, I ask my colleagues on this List. As far as I know, a printed manual is not available. If I am mistaken, my fellow Finale Listers will certainly correct me. I believe you can order them from Finalemusic.com or from Amazon. To the best of my knowledge there hasn't been one for Finale25 but there is one for Finale2014 which should be fine for use with Finale25. I second Lawrence's comment that asking for help in this group is a great resource. You'll get answers faster and in many cases more correct than some answers you'll receive from Finale's tech support team, and definitely you'll receive the answers much faster and with less bother than going through Finale's tech-support process. -- * David H. Re: [Finale] Just bought Finale - is downloadable manual available (or third-party books on Finale)?
Thanks for that, Lawrence and David. Lawrence, would you mind please giving me a link for the help file section you mentioned? I tried looking around on the Finale site, but might have been looking in the wrong area or possibly even the wrong site. David, I'll make a note of those books and see if I can find them. I will be glad if I am able to get answers here. But my purpose in wanting a manual was twofold: I would have something to refer to when I'm not on the Internet and able to post here; and also I do expect to have dozens and dozens of probably quite elementary questions, and it would save a lot of posting of fiddly little questions here (which have probably been posted dozens of times before) if I was able to find out at least the more basic things on my own. Michael, I’m pretty sure MakeMusic has an option for having the help files available locally on your computer. I’ve never had to do that, so I don’t know what it involves, but it should be possible. Michael, The help files are within the Finale application, in the menu bar. Michael, This is the main support site: https://www.finalemusic.com/support/learning-center/ The manuals and videos are all linked from there Allen > On Aug 5, 2017, at 10:57 AM, Lawrence David Eden wrote: > > Michael, > > The help files are within the Finale application, in the menu bar.
