TOOLBOX/Finalyser: http://adobe.ly/Thu9dR

- Georg

Subject: Finding overrides in Framemaker files

Framemaker 10, all patched, Win 7, 64 bit.

I have a Framemaker book that contains 8 chapter files. I know that
overrides to paragraph styles in a file are marked with an asterisk in
the Information Bar at the bottom of the file. I am producing OLH for a
client using a 15 year old technology (Sun JavaHelp) and I don't have an
option to change that right now. In the tool that I use, ePublisher,
reports are generated including a Styles report that specifically lists
all paragraph tags that have an override to them. This report, however,
is not available for a Sun JavaHelp output for many reasons but I still
need to be able to find overrides in the Framemaker source files. Is
there a script that is available to do this, or is there a way to use
FM's functionality that I am not aware of to do this?

Thanks,

TVB

Advanced: Changes in Dictonaries in FM 10/11 | TERM CHECK

2012-10-20 Thread Georg Eck
Hello everybody.

THX for your feedback and questions.

Matt, yes I forgot this news.
Since InDesign CS5.5 it works with HunSpell dictionaries too. Now, with
Fm11 there are mostly your decision to work with
Proximity or HunSpell dictionaries for Spell Check, Hyphenation and
Thesaurus, if available.

*
John:
The best of this Adobe strategy: Now several Adobe products use this
same dictionaries and you can update these anytime.
It's a great news too, that now you can add/exclude/except any
words/phrases for a project in an user or project dictionary, and Id
CS6, Fm11, ... use the same dictionaries.
Therefore there is Finalyser TERM CHECK now available for Id, Fm, MS
Word and NEW for SIMQIN too, and we advise:
+ design, save and use your language dictionaries central
+ design, save and use your terminology central central
+ and check on all applications on all clients in a workgroup based on
these central data
More about TERM CHECK on

Winfried Reng: The differences of HunSpell and Proximity:
1. HunSpell is open source and you can add any developed and other
languages any time.
2. HunSpell is now the default dictionary setting in Fm11 and in Id CS6
3. Since Fm11 Adobe install 45 HunSpell dictionaries for 23 languages.
More dictionaries:
http://extensions.services.openoffice.org/de/dictionaries
4. These dictionaries are better as in FM 8 and earlier.
5. Somebody say, that the quality is in several languages different,
sometimes Proximity is better
or in same languages Proximity Thesaurus is available only.
6. Different is the algorithm, that it's very important for hyphenation
quality.

Betreff: Changes in Dictonaries in FM 10/11

Hello everybody.

That's not a question - that's a little story about changes with
Dictionaries in FM 10/11:
Perhaps, that is useful for users they want to update from FM 8 to
10/11.
Somebody did successful worked with user.dct and site.dct in the past,
but what is new in FM 10 or 11?

At first save your user.dct and site.dct (or other dictionaries)!

*
Default maker.ini in $fmhome:

[Files]
; Files
-
; If it is not an absolute path, then it is relative to the FMHome
directory.
UserDictionary=
SiteDictionary=dict\site.dct

If there is no link to a path/file for an UserDictionary, you can find
the default directory in:
C:\Users\[name]\AppData\LocalLow\Adobe\Linguistics:
\Dictionaries (FM10)
\UserDictionaries (Fm 11)
   \ FMUserDictionary
\alladded.txtfor the added words/phrases
  excluded.txt for the excluded words/phrases
\de_DE etc. devided for every Langauge

More: Soon in our http://WORKFLOWblog.de (currently in German only)

You can find the SiteDictionary (see maker.ini) at $fmhome\dict with
site.dct, but it should be in \FMSiteDictionary in AppData or it would
be better for a workgroup it should be on a shared/server disk.

Question: Where are saved the Standard Language Dictionaries?
Since FrameMaker 9 there is a central path:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Linguistics

Note: There is an additional maker.ini for every user, you can find it
here:
C:\Users\[name]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\FrameMaker\11
All settings in user maker.ini are winning about the central maker.ini
in $fmhome.

You can delete the user maker.ini, at next start of FrameMaker,
FrameMaker will create a new maker.ini for the user (Please save the
user maker.ini at first!)

Ann: save as... FM 8 Mif

2012-10-04 Thread Georg Eck
If you know Finalyser for FrameMaker 10 or for FM11, then you will find
a collection of features to save files in mif or back in fm.

Subject: Need ideas - Moving large files from one folder to another
withoutbreaking links

Does anyone know of a program that will allow me to move several files
to another folder without breaking links to graphics in other folders?
We've imported graphics by using the import by reference option
instead of copying the graphics to the document. We've done this because
copying the graphics into the document bloats it. Our manuals have been
created by several writers over the years. I have hundreds of files to
move but haven't done it yet because of this issue. I could open each
book file and FrameMaker files and just archive them but again, there
are hundreds of these things to move.

Any ideas are certainly appreciated.

Have a great weekend!

Subject: Re: Printing paragraph styles

Format List from squidds.de ($49) will do a very nice job of that. It
creates a table with a row for each of the formats. It makes it very
easy to scroll down a column and see, for example, which paragraph
formats use a certain font. (It doesn't show every single format,

though-- but does cover all the major ones). Format List also creates
tables for character formats and more.

Finding the order form on their site is always a chore, though, and
there are no upgrades. You have to repurchase the utility every time
FrameMaker upgrades. You can download the trial version of Finalyser,
which includes all of the squidds.de utilities, including Format List.

Actually, I think the old FM8 version is called Toolbox, not Finalyser.

Subject: Printing paragraph styles

I'm using FrameMaker 8 and was wondering if there is a way to print out
the paragraphs style information from within FrameMaker? The information
I'm looking for needs to include all the information in the paragraph
designer.

We upgraded to FM10 this year and now I'm having trouble creating a
special character. I'm trying to create a right arrow, as in a chemical
equation. (I have the special toolbar, but it doesn't include this.) I
can't seem to get this symbol using the old FM8 method of using a
character and applying a "symbol" character tag. I looked online and it
suggests using the character palette, but I can't get that to open. It
seems maybe that was in FM9, but not included in FM10? Thanks in

AW: Getting started with Context-Sensitive Help

2012-09-24 Thread Georg Eck
Hi,

Sample with WebWorks Reverb and Context-sensitive with DITA* source:
www.finalyser.de/help/index.html#context/Finalyser_Online-Hilfe/finalyse
r

Syntax: URL =
www.finalyser.de/help/index.html#context/BOOKNAME/TOPICALIAS
BOOKNAME = Finalyser_Online-Hilfe
TOPICALIAS = finalyser

There is to set a TopicAlias Marker in DITA only, WebWorks convert it as
a URL call.

Note: Finalyser Help is in English available, too, but in this moment
not yet with TopicAlias.
We are finishing the new Finalyser 2013 for Fm11 - available to tcworld:
http://bit.ly/Qdb890

- Georg

---
Subject: Re: Getting started with Context-Sensitive Help

I've never used RH to process DITA files, so I can't imagine what the
process is. Do you have to regenerate your FM files each time you update
your content? That sounds very slow and tedious.

>You could go through a similar process using WebWorks ePublisher, as
well as other Help publishing tools. Typically, you'd embed the marker
into the topics, and publish through the standard process for that tool.

Scott mentioned WebWorks ePublisher, which processes your DITA files
directly. This is the HAT that I use to create output from DITA.

If your developers have given you a header file with topic aliases, you
specify each topic alias using the othermeta element to define the
marker (in ePublisher) with the value of the topic ID for that topic.
ng%2520and%2520Publishing%2520Content/Preparing%2520DITA%2520Files.3.15.
htm).

Robert mentioned two ways to handle CSH:

>There are two basic approaches: (1) the developers maintain the map
file and give it to you to import into RoboHelp, or (2) you generate the
map file with RoboHelp and give it to them. I've always done (1).

There is another way, which is the developer embeds the HTML file name
in the code. In WebWorks ePublisher, if you want to keep the file name
constant (in case the actual file name of the DITA file changes or
becomes obsolete), you specify file names in the othermeta element to
define the marker (in ePublisher) with the name for the file. For
example:

I'm not sure if any of that translates well to what you must do for
RoboHelp.

I know you can go into each file and delete each tag individually but

AW: Char and Para Tag Updating - Across Books

2012-08-09 Thread Georg Eck
Hi Alison,

the strategy should be:

1. Rename all Char and Para tags in your book and

2. Then import a Template with correct Char and Para formats over
the book.

Topic 1: Take TOOLBOX 9 for FrameMaker 9 (or Finalyser for FM10 or Fm11)
with following feature:

"Rename Format Names by Configuartion" You can design a table with all
correct and wrong tags to rename it.

More information about this feature see at Online Manual, here:
http://www.finalyser.com/help/#page/Finalyser%2520Online-Help/rename_for
mats.xml.16.2.html

Topic 2: See Fred's description.

- Georg

Subject: RE: Char and Para Tag Updating - Across Books

Unfortunately, I am renaming some tags and updating some settings that I
didn't set consistently when I first created tags.

Your mention of plugins jarred my memory. I have Silicon Prairie's Char
and Para Tools. The conversion tool included in each looks like it might
do what I want. Now I just have to study them a bit to figure out the
details (and make backups before trying anything!)

Thanks for the help!

Alison

Subject: RE: Char and Para Tag Updating - Across Books

When you say "edit/update Char and Para tags" are you referring to the
formatting associated with the tags, or to the tags themselves (e.g.,
their names and/or how they are applied)?

If it's the former, it's really quite easy:

1) Update the format definitions in one file. This can be any file: a
file from the book, a file from a different book, or a separate template
file. Save the file but leave it open.
2) From the book window, select the component files that need to be
updated.
3) Choose File>Import>Formats, and select only the Character and
Paragraph formats in the dialog.
4) Click Import.
5) After a few moments to a few minutes (depending on the number of
files and how long it takes to open each of them), you'll be all done.

Note that this process will change the formats for all tags that appear
in both the "source" (template) and "target" (document) files, and will
add any new formats that are in the template. It will not delete unused
formats, and it will not change the names of any tags, and it will not
map any existing tags to new ones. To do any of those things, you will
need either a plug-in or FrameScript plus an appropriate script (or a
lot of time and patience to do it by hand).

My current project is to try, as I update a book for the next revision,
is to "fix" many of my original Char and Para tags. I've searched in the
Using Adobe FrameMaker 9 pdf and Scriptorium's Unstructured FrameMaker
8, but I haven't found anything that tells me how to update Char or Para
tags across all files in a book.

Am I really going to have to do this the hard way?

Subject: [SPAM] Deleting conditions across a book - Frame 10

Hi all

Does anyone know of a way to delete conditional tags across a book using
Frame 10?

I used the PGF Whopper plugin for Frame 8 but can't find anything for
version 10.

I know you can go into each file and delete each tag individually but
it's very time consuming.

Thanks in advance

In the past we had also list our TOOLBOX and FINALYSER

Important, that vendors and list admin can update the list.
Additional, I mean it would be great if one could add comments,

AW: Single sourcing from Frame and a wiki ... or something ...

2012-06-27 Thread Georg Eck
Hi Rebecca,

there is WebWorks ePublisher (Trial:
http://www.webworks.com/Tour/Try_ePublisher) with
several output formats like: CHM, REVERB, Eclipse Help, ... and Wiki

Input formats could be MS-Word, Adobe FrameMaker and DITA.

We are also SW-Vendor and the authors write in FrameMaker (DITA),
generate content in a Wiki
(sample:

and after released we generate an online-help format with WebWorks
ePublisher too

Your question: Single sourcing from Frame and a wiki ... or something
...

Hi everyone

Our docs team (4 of us) creates a many-thousand-page multi-chapter user
manual in unstructured Frame. Lots of tables and cross-refs. Conditional
text used to publish several variants. Published as PDFs a couple of
times a year, delivered online.

And the engineers (about 80) have a wiki that's a mish-mash of internal
feature development info, some of which ends up in the user manual.

I've been asked to make the user manual and the internal docs use the
same source, which both writers and engineers would write. We want to
work collaboratively, stop duplicating effort and come much closer to
real-time updates.

I'll need to include version control, content re-use, status tagging
(e.g. draft/final), read-only access, and delivery as PDF and HTML.
While I'm at it, I'd like to do automated builds and publish ebooks.

The engineers would like the wiki to be the source. The writers want to
stay with FM. I'm prepared to make everyone change tools (*grin*) but
only if we have to.

As a complicating factor, the engineers are all on Linux. Getting an FM
licence per engineer would blow my budget (Adobe, how about selling a
site licence???), and they'd have to run it in Virtual Box. I'm not
seeing a happy ending there.

I've got plenty of implementation time and can lay my mitts on a
programmer or two. Budget's not yet set but prob around $20K.

So ...

Does anyone know of a good tool for round-tripping Framemaker -- Wiki?

Should I be looking at XML?

Any other thoughts on how I should tackle this?

Many thanks
Rebecca

Ann: Saving Frame 10 files in batch to Frame 7

2012-06-27 Thread Georg Eck
Hi Tom, please test following feature in Finalyser:

You will find following menu:

Book transfer is an archive Plug-in, FM <-> MIF Save Book to MIF 10.0.

- Georg

Your question: Saving Frame 10 files in batch to Frame 7

Dear Framers,

Framemaker 10 + Framemaker 7.2 + Framescript 5.2R1p248

Am I correct that for saving Framemaker 10 files to Framemaker 7, in
batch, I need to pass by MIF7, right?

In Framemaker 10, I have a script that saves all my Framemaker 10 files
from a book to MIF7.

In Framemaker 7.2, I then use another script to save a folder of MIFs to
FM7. I then get a lot of opcode errors in the console:

(13362): Invalid opcode: XRefSrcElemNonUniqueId.

--- Skipping these characters:> -- Done skipping.MIF:
"C:\temp\xxx.mif" (13363): Invalid opcode: XRefAltText.

--- Skipping these characters:> -- Done skipping.MIF:
"C:\temp\xxx.mif" (13364): Invalid opcode: XRefApiClient.

--- Skipping these characters:< XRefClientName > < XRefClientType > >
-- Done skipping.MIF: "C:\temp\xxx.mif"

The files then open with Framemaker 7 but links between different
documents of the same book do not work any more.

Can someone help?

Thanks in advance,

Tom

Find, Default ¶ Font, Find, Default ¶ Font, Find, Default ¶ Font ...

Too bad Find/Change isn't flexible enough to find the combination of Emphasis

The only changes are that I:

* uninstalled Acrobat X and reinstalled Acrobat 9

* uninstalled and reinstalled FM9 (and all patches) and
everything worked fine again. FYI: I did not uninstall my FM9

Until I tried to access the Char Palette, everything was working fine.
No glitches or unexplained occurrences.

I don't have TOOLBOX or Finalyser and as the Char Palette served my

As you say the Char Palette is a Java Palette, I just checked the Oracle

Fingers crossed.

WebWorks ePublisher would be a great decision:

Find a trail here: http://www.webworks.com/Tour/Try_ePublisher

Confluence 3.x wiki markup rather than 4.x XHTML)?

-Your Question-
Subject: Archive all imported files

[Resending because I *always* forget we're on an ancient listserv...]

Hi, all;

I'm wondering what ever happened to Bruce Foster's Archive tool for FM
(v8). I am hunting around Carmen Publishing, Leximation,
Techknowledgecorp's Handy FrameMaker tools page, and various other
sites; and I can not seem to find it anywhere.

We just want to open a book, click a menu item, and have it package
the BOOK file and all of the FM, graphics, and text insets into a new
folder or ZIP file, for purposes of archiving and freezing revisions
(no, we don't have a CMS--got to do it all via folder/file operations).

If Bruce's Archive isn't available anymore, what other options do we
have? Seems like FrameScript could do it (of course) but I'm not sure if
that's our simplest or most cost-effective option (i.e., we don't need
to pack a U-Haul for a weekend trip, so to speak).

Suggestions?
David

FrameMaker > Confluence 4.x?

2012-06-04 Thread Georg Eck
Hi Robert,

WebWorks ePublisher would be a great decision:

Find a trail here: http://www.webworks.com/Tour/Try_ePublisher
Note: ePublisher EXPRESS only, you cannot design any and you have to
design a stationery for layout and Confluence deployment.

Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yx2sPbZ2LEg
(currently german, but you can see - it's a easy and great suggestion)

If you have any questions don't hesitate to contact me.

-Your Question-
Subject: FrameMaker > Confluence 4.x?

Is anyone else working on exporting from FrameMaker to Confluence 4.x,
or actually doing it using anything other than Confluence's Word import
(which is slick but has some serious bugs) or WebWorks (which generates
Confluence 3.x wiki markup rather than 4.x XHTML)?

I recently received a computer with the following specs:

64 bit

Windows 7

1.36 TB Hard Drive (1.27 TB free space)

16.0 GB RAM

3.30 GHz Processor

Currently I am running FM 9 and Acrobat X Pro and I have discovered that I can
no longer create PDFs in FrameMaker. I was able to get a PDF of a single file
once, but never a book PDF. If I move the book to my local drive, I can create
book PDFs but I cannot do this from the network. This was not an issue on my
32 bit machine (FrameMaker 9, Acrobat 8, Windows 7).

I have tried installing the FrameMaker 10 trial to see if that would solve the
issue. I've also tried reverting back to Acrobat 8 and that didn't solve the
issue either. I've tried the Save Book As, Save as PDF, and the Print
Book methods. None work. I am not receiving any error messages, FrameMaker
just goes into a Not Responding state.

I do not have a problem creating PDFs from Word or any other programs on the
network.

Any ideas?

2012-02-26 Thread Georg Eck
Hi Linda,

there is Finalyser TERM CHECK (for FrameMaker 10, Word 2010, InDesign 5
and higher) - the new Terminology Check Platform.

You can generate all unknown word, phrases, abbreviations, ... and you
can organize stop word central in a excel-database (default) or in other
database (additionally).

Great is to check thru FrameMaker, new in Word and soon in InDesign too,
all values thru the central database with one click.

More information:

http://www.finalyser.de/en/finalyser-term-check.html

You can test it with a trial - send me an e-Mail.

Finalyser Basic is free - download Finalyser Basic and
the collection of plug-ins and ExtendScripts: http://bit.ly/f08YRt

Question:

Hi folks,

I'm looking for a tool that I can run on my FrameMaker 9 source files
that will extract frequently used terms (to help with indexing,
glossary, terminology consistency).

I've found some Web-based tools and AntConc (seems to work on .txt files
best) but nothing that I can use on my .fm source files.

Does FrameMaker have any internal tools that can do the job? Or is
anyone using an external tool? (hopefully something open source J).

Thanks for your help,

Linda

Question:

I have a bunch of FrameMaker files with embedded graphics that have been
converted from MS Word. Because all those embedded screen shots make
for one gangly file, I'd like to be able to extract these graphics and
have them as referenced files. Is there an easy way to do this
(preferably all at once)?

Thanks,

Question:

Hi all,

We're using Frame 10 and doing unstructured books.

We have source files out on a network drive, but we do often copy the
files to our local machines so that we can work remotely and offline on
them.

So now I have a book out on the network drive that somehow is
referencing images on c:\dic\mybook\userguide\images\button.jpg instead
of \images\button.jpg. A similar thing has happened to some of the
x-refs in 3 of the chapters. We are getting specific references instead
of relative references.

Does anyone have any suggestions why this behavior is happening? or how
to fix it without having to open each chapter file and repoint the
graphic directory?

I think I'm most conserned about understanding why it is happening, so
that I can tell our team how to avoid this problem.

thanks,

meg

Re: FrameMaker Book to PDF Creation

A long time FrameMaker can create a PDF with different page sizes.

Note:
1. Little different in every release (and build - remember FM 10.x on
Win7 64-bit!)

2. Every change of page size must go along with a new file in a book.

3. Easy to keep in mind is following steps (in every FrameMaker release
- hopefully)

Print the book with Adobe PDF Printer as .ps:

+ change the max of page size to the max of your page
(important: the ps-file get the information of the page size and
FrameMaker and Adobe PDF driver are artful

+ Print in file as .ps

(Every fm-page size get his same ps-page size)

+ then it's easy to open the ps-file with the Distiller - and the
right pdf is ready

AW: MediaWiki and OLH?

2011-08-30 Thread Georg Eck
Hi,

there is a long answer and a short one.

The short one: A Wiki isn?t a DMS or CMS. An OLH is web-based or not.

The long answer:

A documentation process should start to think about and to decide the source
format: DITA, FrameMaker or Word (or whatever).

What output format you need is very big challenge today (please see following
White Paper: Parcel Publishing in an Agile World
on http://bit.ly/ix6csE)

BUT, you need a Wiki for Collaboration with your team, with customers, with
deliverer.
WebWorks ePublisher can deploy your draft and released manual to a Wiki
(MediaWiki, MoinMoin or Confluence).

Note: See the YouTube video (currently in German) with Deployment
from FrameMaker to Confluence: http://youtu.be/Yx2sPbZ2LEg

You will update your source to re-publish a newer information to the Wiki again
and the team collaborate in the Wiki
? till then, you will finish the authoring or the documentation is releasable.

Now, the publishing process will start. You need a PDF, CHM (windows based OLH)
or JavaHelp, etc.
With WebWorks ePublisher you will generate your 14 different output formats,
for example web-based REVERB.

The different between REVERB and Wiki: Wiki content is changeable, REVERB
content is comment able.

REVERB is an OLH, but need an internet access, right, but in one month we give
you an answer for an APP ?

? this APP is offline (check the platform).

Another technology is AIR: With AIR you can realize an online and offline OLH,
but also check the platform you can use AIR.

For visitors at tcworld (tekom), in Wiesbaden please book the Workshop..

?OLH for Smartphone and Tablet-PC?S ? AIR or REVERB?? Oct 18th, 2011

Your E-Mail:

Greetings!

Am currently engaged in a project to move software documentation from
FrameMaker to MediaWiki, and imagine some of you have enjoyed similar
pleasures... I am wondering whether anyone could advise about a method of
generating online help (formerly webhelp produced using FM and RoboHelp) where
MediaWiki is the source?

The challenge is that the help system needs to work without access to the web.
Would anyone know of a case where an entire wiki instance was shipped with a
product?

Your thoughts much appreciated!

Re: FM10 (does not) output Adobe PDF - quite possible

2011-05-09 Thread Georg Eck
Hi FrameUsers.

Indeed Print as PDF from a book, or selected files, or pages with
different orientations and sizes could FrameMaker Print as PDF.

We add this function to FINALYSER 0044 see menu FINALYSER PDF tools.

Steps for Printing as PDF:

+ Open a FrameMaker Book

+ Select the file(s) you want to Print as PDF

+ Print Choose AdobePDF Printer (Note: Change the paper size if you
want there are special sizes in your book)

+ Select Generate Adobe Data

+ Select Print in File and correct the name with suffix .ps

+ Choose Print

+ You will get a message from FINALYSER:

Postcript file was created. Do you want FINALYSER to convert it to
PDF format?

+ Choose YES

Result: You will get a PDF with different page sizes/orientations as PDF
on XP, Win 7(x86) and Win 7 (x64).

Re: OT: Any opinions on creating online help?

2011-04-27 Thread Georg Eck
Hi Gay,

Maike wrote you some days ago: What is an Online Help?
(Maike is a very excellent Author and expert in New Media).

In the past we had a comparison of RoboHelp and WebWorks, but I mean that is
not deciding today.

I mean there are three aspects important today:
1. An Online Help is a format, that an user can in an application to push a
HELP Button or F1 (context-sensitive) and open the context-sensitive Help.
Is that important, then I need a format like EclipseHelp, HTMLHelp,
WebWorksHelp, WebHelp, …
… a Help format not a HTML.

Why? It’s easy to set a TopicAlias marker in the source (Word, DITA or
FrameMAker) and generate the Online Help – ready.
The development of the application should know, what they have to do to call a
help topic.
(We can talk it to the developer …).

2. If I need a “future format” perhaps on a mobile device (and I add to think
about more as one format – see Package Publishing):
From now AIR from Adobe and Reverb from WebWorks are future formats. Both are a
very interesting,
with Social Media integration, blogging/commenting, searching in communities,
favorites, with translators, Google optimizable, updatable, …
…and for mobile device. Both are also context-sensitive usable – OK, that is a
new Online Help format – a future format.

3. If I have or I need a CMS, then I would be an expert when I would have
following use case: Package Publishing.
WebWorks Automap could generate all formats behind a CMS and you are the
designer of a stationery.
If anything is to change, you can tune it with less money and time. We say
(look on www.finalyser.com) automate your workflow …

BTW: This week I visited a customer of SQUIDDS. This customer generate (update)
every day more as 10 of 100 manuals in different languages.
This user! manage all WebWorks Automap with conditional, variables and there is
a process to update the FrameBook, …

… automate your workflow.

Tomorrow:
We don’t know, what we need in 1 year or later, we don’t know what our
customers need.
A good point is: Start with a Standard Tool and with a Standard format,
then you will have the maximum of chance, that in one or more years this tool
will have saved time and money
and you will get an upgrade without (or with less) work for a new format
(Package Publishing).

free upgrade, such as MS has on new versions of Office?
