[Freeciv-Dev] [bug #21050] Save game loading broken

2013-08-23 Thread Marko Lindqvist
Follow-up Comment #3, bug #21050 (project freeciv):

Seems we have to quit and then restart FreeCiv to get the
 savegame page to show up.

When it first failed, had you been playing freeciv, left the game, and then
tried to load the savegame?

I vaguely wonder if the reports about problems on windows in shutting down the
server and these savegame loading problems on windows are related. Maybe
there's previous server left running, and client connects to that...

Make native_to property of all extras, not just bases and roads. Also replace
base/road NativeTile flag with extra one. So now it's possible that
irrigation etc make tile native for a unit.

[Freeciv-Dev] [patch #4103] Extra native_to

2013-08-23 Thread Sveinung Kvilhaugsvik
Follow-up Comment #1, patch #4103 (project freeciv):

Had a look. In extras.h' extra_flag_id: Tile with this road is considered
native road - extra

So now it's possible that irrigation etc make tile native for a unit.
Being able to do this for pollution opens some interesting possibilities.
Thank you.

[Freeciv-Dev] [patch #4100] Move the war requirement for spy actions to rule set

2013-08-23 Thread Sveinung Kvilhaugsvik
Follow-up Comment #2, patch #4100 (project freeciv):

 * Added support for the qt client, the sdl client and (untested) support for
the sdl2 client.
 * Change capability string since new data is put in the value field on
DIPLOMAT_MOVE. (Wondering if I in stead should add a new field)

[Freeciv-Dev] [patch #4104] Don't hard code pollution/fallout specials for global warming/cooling

2013-08-23 Thread Sveinung Kvilhaugsvik

Details:

In stead of counting each special directly sum the effects. This may not be
the best way to do it. Something like disasters, only global, would be better.
Letting rule set authors specify an amount now would makes it harder to
implement global disaster in the future (if regressions are to be avoided). If
this is an issue I can change it to increase by 1 if the effect is above 0.

My primary motivation for this patch is to speed up the extras work. If it
gets in the way (say the problem is solved in a private branch) feel free to
ignore it.

[Freeciv-Dev] [bug #21053] 240 RC1 Not raedy for stable release

2013-08-23 Thread Jacob Nevins
Follow-up Comment #3, bug #21053 (project freeciv):

 Access violation reading location 0x0160.
It's not completely implausible that this is another instance of bug #21044.
That would cause a read of (struct terrain)-bv_terrain_flags (first char, I
think) through a NULL pointer, and while I don't know the Windows 32-bit ABI
for sure, totting up the length of structure members using some plausible
assumptions (int=data-pointer=4 locations) gets an offset in the right ball
park (I get 349 vs 352 reported).

To the original reporter (if they're reading): could it be caused by the issue
in bug #21044?

If no further information emerges, I'll close this as inconclusive, as there's
not much else we can do with it.
