Re: [Audyssey] MK Deception
Well, in previous Mike's, you'd press the button combination, and watch the fatality being performed automatically. In the upcoming game, you get to target different body parts. For instance you can choose to rip off his head, toss it on the ground, stomp on it, walk around a bit, rip his heart out, then rip his arm off. that's what I mean. there are button combination for each part of the fatality, and you can do them in any order you wish. There will also be a create your character mode. as to the online play, you'll need to purchase a device for the PS 2 or Xbox. - Original Message - From: "Harrison Tu" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "'Gamers Discussion list'" Sent: Saturday, June 03, 2006 6:01 PM Subject: Re: [Audyssey] MK Deception > What does that mean, customize them? > > -Original Message- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > On Behalf Of Yohandy > Sent: Thursday, June 01, 2006 8:54 PM > To: Gamers Discussion list > Subject: Re: [Audyssey] MK Deception > > > Definitely. Re: [Audyssey] dragon woreors answers
Hi, Ivan. That might be, but I have yet to hear about the entire story behind the game. Who is the dragon warrior, is it a he or she, who are the enemies, are there boss enemies, what are the objectives to completing the levels, what powers are there for each creature, how many different worlds or areas in the game, etc. I haven't the remotest of ideas what this game is suppose to be like. For someone who has thought and thought and thought about it you haven't given us a very clear idea of this game. Besides that a good programmer does more than think about a game. They write down there thoughts, organise them, delete, reshape, and work on it a while. If yu see Audyssey 48 soon to come out you will see I have a story on how Angela Smith came to be at the temple looking for the treasure. You will also discover the connection between the USA Games version and the old Atari classic story wise. My Star Wars game currently is having a short story that is being written to help construct the ideas and areas for the game. Each level in the game is a chapter in the story. Naturally, the game should eventually match closely with the book at some point. Even thoughyou have thought about the game from what you have done and said on list Dragon Warriors appears to lack direction. That might not be true, but if it has direction all of us would like more info on specific details about the game. Ivan Fegundez wrote: > Oh no! Hi. Christopher Bartlett wrote: Based on the other answers to the questions, it looks to me as though you are designing the effects/powers in the game before considering why all this is happening. As you have asked for suggestions, I think this will make for an unfocussed game with little satisfaction End Quote I think you hit the nail on the head so to speak. A couple of the game programming books I have read clearly stated before writing one line of code a developer should write out the back story behind the game, create history and personalities behind the characters, etc. That makes sense as in any programming or creative writing courses the instructers always teach to write out a draft of all your ideas, history, etc long before working on the final work. From what I gather from Ivan's answers thus far he seams to be going forward with a incomplete vision and just writing the game from what comes to mind at the time. That is apped to make the game run smack in to a block wall. As well as look as cheap and unplanned as it may be. ___ Gamers mailing list .. [Audyssey] Top Speed 2: two new vehicles
Hi racers, I've just uploaded two new cars to DJC's ftp: The old school bus and The Rail racer. The sounds for the bus come from the game itself (I've just played around with them for a bit and found them, so created my imagination of such bus). The Rail Racer car sounds come from the upcoming game but the car itself isn'T an exact remake of the RR vehicle, as it would not be really possible to truly convert it to Top Speed. Many authors have created their own dragons, so I'm trying to get a sense what the foundation of your dragons is. >3. Re: [Audyssey] New Blind Adrenaline game survey
Kickboxing. It sounds like an mk fighter. -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Che Sent: Wednesday, May 31, 2006 3:25 PM To: Gamers Discussion list Subject: [Audyssey] New Blind Adrenaline game survey Booga booga kids, As I wind down the beta programming for Rail Racer, I am considering gathering resources for the next release from Blind Adrenaline. Here are the three games I am considering at this point: 1. Kickboxer - A fighting game where two players meet over the internet to beat each others brains out. Like rail racer, this game allows use of the mouse or joystick to input various combinations against your opponent. For instance to pull off a roundhouse kick, you may need to move your controller left, then right and hit the second button. There will be lots of combos like this that willl need to be mastered to be an effective fighter. 2. Head to Head football - A football simulation allowing two players to go at it on the gridiron. This also will be internet ready, and will include season results posted to the web, so we can hold tournaments and the like. Besides a full playlist to simulate coaching, I plan on including the ability to control individual players to some extent during a play. The way I envision it, folks can set up their own leagues, and play an entire season of NFL football, with any teams not claimed by humans being played by the computer. 3. Gunship - A helicopter fighting simulation modeled after the Apache A64 attack helicopter. The Apache is currently the baddest helicopter on the planet, capable of holding a large amount of various missiles for tank killing, troop slaying, and target bombing. In addition the Apache has one of the most advanced targeting systems known to man with the TADS system, and all of this will be integrated into the simulation, along with the fearsome chain gun mounted on the front of the chopper. I am curious what players out there are most interested in of these three games. The games are pretty much listed in ascending order of complexity, and therefore development time, with Gunship being far more complex than the other two games. If I go with Gunship, you can expect an extended wait on the release of the simulation, as I used to be a hard core flight simulation player when I could see, and I plan on bringing a high level of intensity to this game. Please let me know what you think, and which game you would prefer.
