Hi jim in the game of Spanker how about making the women more dominant and
they spank the men for pleasure in the game or you can make the men also
spank the women you should have that choice in the game for a man to spank a
woman or a woman to spank a man. Plus you can add phrases for example give
it to me baby, Your going to be punnished, or come here and serve me now,
spank me more, oh yeah baby that feels good, do you want me etc.
Make sure the spanking sound has a whipping sound to it so they feel the
pain of being spanked and more pleasure. Also add the sexual turn on words
if you know what I am talking about
that's my suggestions for this game. If this game turns out the way it
supposed this would be the first blind man's porno game. I also enjoy this
game as well.

 Hi Wil,

You know I was actually thinking about another version of Spanker after
the current game that I am working on. It would include the part that the
ladies have been asking me for. grin I am going to need sound files for
 it though.

Re: [Audyssey] Raceway tracks.

2007-09-27 Thread Jim Kitchen
Hi Che,

I agree. I have always found it better at least for me, to focus on one game
slash project at a time. I like the feeling of finishing and putting out a
game. This may not be exactly accurate but if you work on 2 projects at a time
it would take twice as long to get them to the market even though they both
then hit the market at the same time. Three projects three times as long etc.

Yes all NASCAR tracks turn to the left except for the two road tracks that they
run. In Mach 1 the first track which was version 1 turns to the right. It did
that because I was trying to out of memory make it like the Pole Position
track. I guess that half of the Mach 1 tracks turn left and the others turn
right. Well some both ways. grin

In spanker you are always the spanker right? So right now men and women are
spanking women. When I add men, women and men can also then spank men right?

I do have allot of spanking sounds that I recorded. I think that I have used
the best that I have, but will listen to them all again.

Don't know how much I can add comments in to the game as it is also all about
reaction time after the woman says Hi but I will see what I can add when I
finish the new live action game that I am now working on and go back to work on

really can't put comments in because of the quickness of the reaction time.

Hi Ron.

You need to be able to play the organ, but the lady in the church is playing
it, so use the frog on the lady to attempt to scare her off. It won't be
precisely successful, so you'll need to do something to the frog to make it
slightly more terrifying.

 Hi Tom

You might need to enter the area of the heart hills before finding the
proper village. the cemetary is a new combat intense area for xp geared
 to
a chars level. Same with the ruins around Taininwood, near Talonus. Some
good spots to gather xp and items to resell in griphooks. Which is about
 the best price I've found.

 Hi,
Actually, Raceway is largely going to be based on a Nascar type game.
you will be competing for prize money and the USA Racing Cup. Each game
will earn you certain point values which are totally identical to the
 Nascar points system.
I don't want to add things like road courses and cross country type
racing since it is not going to be that kind of game. You will be racing
on tracks in a seasonal circuit like Nascar.
 Cheers.

 Hello Tom and all,

I think that all of those are good ideas. I myself would also like to
 see a
road course where you had tosometimes stop or get out of the way of
 Traffic.
For instence maybe you may have to get on a fast moving highway, or stop
 somewhere for cross traffic. Gerryi

[Audyssey] Accessible development environments with documentation?

2007-09-27 Thread Christopher Bartlett
I want to get back into program (specifically game)
development. What do folk recommend for an accessible development
environment that has good documentation for Windows programming? I'm
years out of practice, but would most likely want to work in C++ or
something similar.

Obviously, it wouldn't be Nascar-like without 2 mile, half mile, and 1
mile oval tracks. However, I'm thinking the game could be more
interesting if there were some unusual shaped tracks like s shapes,
figure 8 tracks, and so on. What do you racers think?
Also Nascar tracks tend to always move counter clockwise. Yet some games
like Poll Position had clockwise movement as well. Any preference here?
Thanks.

Hi Ron,
Aah, I see now. I saw that link but I had no idea where the hart hills
lead. I am a bit timid of trying strange links I don't know where they
go. I don't want to get lost until I have gotten my MR, stamina, etc
back up to a suitable level again. Kira was almost 50 stamina and 50 MR
before my game got deleted, and I want to get her back up to that level
as quickly as possible so I can begin exploring again. However, I changed
her powers to illusion. Not sure how effective that power is, but so far
it fizzles out. I guess I need to train it up some more.

good spots to gather xp and items to resell in griphooks. Which is about
 the best price I've found.

Re: [Audyssey] Raceway tracks.

2007-09-27 Thread Thomas Ward
Hi Che,
You are quite right. I am sort of bouncing from project to project
trying to get them all done, and not really completing either. When I
took over Alchemy's games I got sattled with a huge load of work, and
then Monty players keep asking when Monty will be done and Raceway
players which have been waiting since say 2001 or 2002 keep asking when
Raceway is done, and I am feeling pressured to finish them both asap.
Though, I think you are correct here. Monty is quite far along in
development, and If I settle down to working on it I could probably get
it done in a matter of months and possably even weeks rather than
dragging it out by dabbling with RW.

Che wrote:
Yes, all of the ovals run counter clockwise, so if you are going to model
your game after Nascar and the actual tracks, that would be the way to go.
Keep in mind however that Nascar runs a few road courses each year, such
as Watkins Glen, which in my opinion is the best road course in the states,
and when I could see it was my favorite track in Papyrus' game Nascar 3, the
best and most realistic driving simulation I ever played by far.
One thing I would like to suggest here though, just my personal opinion.
I would focus solely on Monty until it is finished, then move on to Raceway
instead of coding a little here then a little there back and forth back and
forth. It sounds like from recent posts that you are dabbling with the Star
Trek game, Raceway and Monty all at the same time and in my experience, this
causes delays and inefficiencies in programming that are larger than the sum
 of their parts.
A lot of people have been waiting a long long time on Monty, and I think
it would boost their confidence in you and your abilities to release a high
quality commercial game to get it polished off and finished before going on
to something much more complicated such as Raceway.
Again, just my two cents worth as a fellow developer, but I fell into the
trap of bouncing between a couple different projects while working on Rail
Racer for a while, and it just wastes a lot of time basically. Once I
hunkered down and focused solely on Rail Racer, I found it was much easier
to get back into the code day in and day out and get it finished, as I
didn't have other projects on my mind to distract me.
Good luck with it, I can't wait to check out Raceway, I will be one of the
first customers when it is ready for beta purchase.
   Later,
   Che

I don't think you can actually kill all the gobblins. At least I never
could. If you want a sword that's even better than the Blade of the Fox
though, you can try the cemetary for a chance at the Kreyne Blade. It's got
an MR of twelve, plus a ten MR boost when you fight the undead. However that
one can be extremely difficult to get. THe fights are tough and it's
entirely random whether or not you find the weapon. Since Gralgarak and his
followers are undead it would logically stand to reason that having the
Kreyne Blade would make those fights easier, but I've never been able to
find it that early in the game. It's a nice weapon though, so if you did get
your hands on it you might want to hang onto it, even if yo don't use it as

[Audyssey] changes to the sarah game

2007-09-27 Thread nicol
HI phil
Could you find the problem that I'm having that when sarah has 4 patronous
charms left, she can't use them?
This can't be because peeves steals my wand because it doesn't happen with
the other spells, only with the patronous charms. If my wand is nicked, then
no spells would have worked, isn't it?
How did you fix it if you came across the problem?
If you couldn't find such a bug, what is wrong on my side.
I'm using a 1.7 gikg processor, windows xp sp2 and a 80 gb hard drive.

As for the amulet half, the other half is apparently still not in the
 game.
As for the silver axe medallion, I've never found a use for it. I've
 noticed
that the steel axe from Stoneback Hill isn't much different from the
 Blade
of the Fox. I tried it once in the cemetary and noticed nothing special
 aout
it. The Kreyne Blade is still the best weapon for fighting undead since
 you
always get a boost to your MR when you encounter one.

I don't think you can actually kill all the gobblins. At least I never
could. If you want a sword that's even better than the Blade of the Fox
though, you can try the cemetary for a chance at the Kreyne Blade. It's
 got
an MR of twelve, plus a ten MR boost when you fight the undead. However
 that
one can be extremely difficult to get. THe fights are tough and it's
entirely random whether or not you find the weapon. Since Gralgarak and
 his
followers are undead it would logically stand to reason that having the
Kreyne Blade would make those fights easier, but I've never been able
 to
find it that early in the game. It's a nice weapon though, so if you
 did
 get
your hands on it you might want to hang onto it, even if yo don't use
 it
 as
your primary weapon. I only wish I'd thought of it when Charisma found
 it
 on
her first trek through the cemetary.

Re: [Audyssey] changes to the sarah game

2007-09-27 Thread Phil Vlasak
Hi Nicol,
I wanted Sarah to have to learn to use the Patronis spell.
So when she first uses it the time is shorter than later on.
I set up 4 variables and set the first 4 patronis spells to
the first variable that would last about 20 seconds.
the next 4 would last 40 seconds and the next 4 last 60 seconds.
After the first 12 spells, all the rest would last 80 seconds.
When you used a spell I would deduct 1 from the first variable unless it was
0, or if it was 0 I would check the next variable.
I do not know why I did it this way but in looking at the code I realized I
could just add a variable to count how many spells were used then vary the
time based on that number.
I was able to remove about 20 lines of code from each level which helps to
make the levels load quicker.
As I re-wrote the function I did not try to track down the bug but after the
change the bug was gone.
Phil

Re: [Audyssey] Accessible development environments with documentation?

2007-09-27 Thread Thomas Ward
Hi Christopher,
The .Net technologies are becoming more mainstream with Windows XP and
Vista systems, and I highly recommend taking up one of the .Net
languages. My personal recommendation would be C#, called C-Sharp, since
it is very simple to learn, is widely documented, and is the language I
personally use for my games.
However, Visual Basic .Net is also quite popular. It has the same
functionalities of C#, but from a more Visual Basic flavor. Though I
find some documentation such as DirectX lacking for VB.

Christopher Bartlett wrote:

environment that has good documentation for Windows programming? I'm
years out of practice, but would most likely want to work in C++ or
 something similar.

Re: [Audyssey] How about a Viktor Krum fight in the Sarah Game?

2007-09-27 Thread Thomas Ward
Hi Hunter,
Not really. Keep in mind Sarah takes place during summer break when all
the students are away both past and present. So in this framework Victor
Crum shouldn't be anywhere near the castle during this time of the game.

land on you, taking away some of your magical energy.

Hay Che are you still going to put an single player option in the game? I
know you would want us to try out that rpg idea, however there is going to
be times which the player would want to play a single player in order to
better himself at the game. If someone was new to the game and had to play
the rpg right away a pro can easily beat a newby. How is a new player
supposed to learn how to play the game when he or she gets beaten all the
time either by experienced players or pros?
It's just a thought that single player mode option wouldn't be a bad idea.
I played single player mode until I am good at it. It help me get use to

 Hi Dark,
This will be dealt with in a way that allows those that want to fight one
on one to do so, while giving the rest immunity. There are many ways to
 do
this, but the one I am leaning on right now is a fight pit, where players
can enter and fight each other, with all other areas beeing non pk.
What I would really like is the ability for players to organize their own
tournaments, with entry fees paid and divvied out amongst the winners.
 This
could get a bit sticky however, due to different character levels fighting
 each other and the like.
The outline is being tweaked and enhanced as I work on other stuff, and
this is one area that needs some more sculpting before coding gets

Hi Bryan,
No it isn't possible to kill all the Goblins in Westwold for the simple
fact most of them are randomly generated here and there. However, a
player can kill quite allot of them. Right now Kira is doing a hall by
hall room by room search and killing every single Goblin she can find.
She just took down the Goblins in the room where the Goblins sleep. the
one with 17 Goblins. Now, I think she is going to head down stairs, and
take on Blalack's main forces, and the main Goblin himself.
They don't know it, but the Goblins are throwing themselves at me to

 Hi list,
Sometime next week I plan to take up work on Raceway again, and before I
do I'd like to have some good discussion on the kinds of tracks the game
 will support.
 Thanks.
