Hi. did you try deleting the dll file that seems to cause a lot of problems? as I had exactly the same trouble with getting the game to even start before I deleted it. in case you haven't got rid of it yet, navigate to your program files folder, then to your microsoft games folder, then flight simulator9 and look for a file called oleacc.dll and delete it. once that is gone fs2004 should start. don't forget also to edit your cfg file to make the game start in window mode rather than full screen mode. as I bet because you are having this startup issue you will probably also get your jaws really screwed when you start the program as I was till I set it to start in window rather than full screen mode. --- Gamers mailing list __ Gamers@audyssey.org If you want to leave the list, send E-mail to gamers-unsubscr...@audyssey.org. the landing sewquence would be better with some stuff added because now if you land it's a brief rumble and then you're in the main menu. if you would land and then break hard on t he runway, it would do to make it more cool. hmmm sounds interesting. One thing I'd like was something that did not use the ms speech recognisers as for what ever reason installing office which installs its own engine seems to break the other one, uninstalling office will not fix this and I have no idea what must be done to get the other one working, I cam manually get it working for a run through but yeah if there was something that could use something not tied with the ms rec engine then cool. Hi Josh, Just because a program locks up doesn't mean the program itself is at fault. It could be several things from a bad installation, damaged Windows library file, the hardware itself failed for some reason, etc. Point I'm getting at is that if the game is locking up there is apparently something wrong, but it isn't necessarily that specific program. well on the main system, programs lock because the firewall has issues, some times I blindly hit alt a and alt tab then alt a, sometimes the firewall will come up and ask me in which case I fix it, but when it does not zone alarm can be a real prick.
