Re: [Audyssey] Installing Audio Quake on Mac?

2011-02-26 Thread James Malone
Oh looky! it punched me right in the face there. Sure enough, I found the steps
on the Agrip Website. Didn't even think to check there first. Thanks so much,
will give it a try tomorrow.

Good question. i had this working many moons ago, but honestly can't
remember the steps that were required in Terminal.

I reckon CQ's your girl for this one. She lurks here, so sit tight and
hopefully a more useful answer will be forthcoming. If not, there was
definitely a step by step guide up on the agrip site toward the end of
development, so it might be worth a search on the way back machine to
 try and dig that up.

2011-02-26 Thread NIcol
Hi chris
I have never played sudoko myself but I know of 2 sudoko games.
The one from ian humphreys and the one from draconis entertainment called
soundoku. Which one are you referring to?
I know the one from ian gives in its documentation very good tips how to
play even sudoko games found in newspapers.
So I think the guy that can help you is ian.
His address is ga...@spoonbillsoftware.com.au. Hth.

Hi,

Lol, its Twenty Fifth. But slight
Spoiler. If you read and if you don't want to, I'll be the painful
destruction of your death and throw your body into the chamber of doom so
you suffer!
The Twenty Fifth floor is the final battle. The elf girl, who has crushed
many of her opponents, seeks for a challenging one. So. The whole dungeon is
resting on this elf girl. You must fight and win. But you get it. That's the
final area of the dungeon, you have to explore and find your way out.

I've heard the new releases are a bit unstable, so that might be the
problem.

[Audyssey] assistance with playing time adventures

2011-02-26 Thread alex wallis

Hi list.
Wondering if anyone can help me out with a fairly old game, time
adventures which used to be distributed by code factory.
I am at one part in the game, and I can't progress, I am not sure if its
me who has done something wrong, or if the game is just buggy and I will
have to start over again.

I dug up the clue book from the audio games.net forum, and had a look at
the thread where someone was experiencing the same issue, but no
solution was posted.
The section I am having problems with, is when you are back in ancient
griece, and you have to finish the statue and borrow the crane so that
two of the guests can go to the party.
the clue book states I need to talk to the architects assistants, but he
doesn't appear to have any assistants to talk to, or at least they are
not mentioned on the menu of options.
I tried to take the crane, and got two different lectures about not
touching it. and I have tried talking to the architect several times.
the first time he said I couldn't have the crane, and the second he
declined the invite to the party, so then I talked to him a third time
and it was the same conversation with him declining the invitation.
I tried to build the statue, but he hasn't asked me, so of course I
can't do anything with the wax etc.

any help would be appreciated.
Thanks, Alex.

[Audyssey] accessible console games.

2011-02-26 Thread alex wallis

Hi list.
I am wondering if I could get advice from the list about accessible
console games.
My nephews recently got a nintendo ds, one of those llittle portable
consoles, and also a wii that hooks up to the tv with the remotes you
can wave around etc.
I am wondering, what if any games are accessible for both consoles, as I
would love to be able to play a few games with them on either.

Thanks so much for your help,
Alex.

That must be a bug or a typo. Because floor 25 is the lowest you can go. Not

[Audyssey] self destruct and draconis entertainment games

2011-02-26 Thread Jack F
Hi all,
I am having a major problem registering self destruct. I can't get the
game to generate my product id/serial number. That means I can't
register them. I even tried the keygen after installing the visual
basic6 runtimes and still nothing different. I can't just keep playing
the demo. I've had enough of the demo, I'm already tired of it, I need
to start playing the full version, I try to register the game and it
doesn't work. I need that isue resolved. Please reply as soon as you
can with either instructions on getting it to work or your unlock
code. Also I downloaded all draconis entertainment games and I can't
run the game in demo mode. I click the demo mode button and I get the
message demo mode. Please consider registering for full functionality.
Then I hit enter and get trial expired, please consider registering. I
even tried after a reinstall and still the same thing. Any ideas on
how to fix that?
Thanks.

Re: [Audyssey] accessible console games.

2011-02-26 Thread Steady Goh

Hi Alex, I'm not sure about ds. As for wii, there are many games accessible.
If you have wii sports and wii sports resort, you can play tennis, table
tennis, sword play, boxing, basket ball 3 point contest etc without sighted
guide. For bowling, you will need some1 to tell you which pins are standing
after your first throw.
If you are into fighting games, mortal kombat Armageddon and tatsunoko vs
capcom.

Subject: [Audyssey] accessible console games.

Hi list.
I am wondering if I could get advice from the list about accessible
console games.
My nephews recently got a nintendo ds, one of those llittle portable
consoles, and also a wii that hooks up to the tv with the remotes you can
wave around etc.
I am wondering, what if any games are accessible for both consoles, as I
would love to be able to play a few games with them on either.

Thanks so much for your help,
Alex.

Re: [Audyssey] help solving sadoqu

2011-02-26 Thread Charles Rivard
Your question is so broad, there isn't one particular answer that would
help. Sudoku is made up of 9 columns and rows of numbers. The object of
the game is to arrange them, mostly by filling the blank squares in with
numbers, so that there is no duplication down a column, across a row, or in
any diagonal direction. One way to do this is to fill the grid is each of 3
9 by 9 square grids so that the correct result is the same in each of these
sections, one by one, then making changes so that the correct result is
throughout the entire grid.

For a hands on way of solving Sudoku puzzles, you can order a braille book
from

www.nbp.org

that is a good general book on solving these fun number puzzles.

If you are asking how to operate a specific Sudoku program, I would say to
view the user's guide that came with it for most of your help. HTH.

Subject: Re: [Audyssey] Intro and a question about pinball classic

Hi Lelia and welcome to the list.

I can't recall if it's the same in the esp pinball classic manual, but in
the xtreme manual there is a very good explanation of the mechanics of
pinball.

Basically the principle is you have a table which inclines steadily in
front of you. On this is a ball bearing which obviously will naturally
roll down towards you, however you can propelle the ball up the table by
flicking it with flippers, small paddles usually two situated in the
middle of the bottom edge of the table.

Going up the table away from you are various things your ball can roll
around when flicked, targits to hit to score points, bumpers to bounce
your ball off, switches which change the layout of the table or make
something special happen etc.

The object is to hit the ball precisely with your flippers in order to
propelle it up the table away from you hitting as many important targits
and scoring as many points as possible.

the bad news though is should the ball fall to the bottom of the table
completely past your flippers, or indeed on some of the nastier
tables should it run over some specific drains, it'll be lost and that
turn will be over.

Hope this explains things.

This is only the general principle of pinball, and really I'd advise
checking the manual for both a full explanation, and also an explaantion
of how the tables work. I'd also advise trying esp pinball xtreme, not
only are the tables much improved on, but imho the sounds used for things
like scanning the table audibly are more logical and easier to handle.

as to which classic table is easiest, well I'm not sure sinse I've only
played the demo I'm afraid, though I recall the wild west table as not
being so bad, though that might be just because I've played the xtreme
version in pinball party pack vol 1.

sudoku puzzles
from sudoku Easy
By Will Shortz.

This is a 57 braille page book with raised illustrations on how to solve
Sudoku puzzles, step by step. From the book, here's a brief description of
the game:

A sudoku puzzle consists of a 9 by 9-square grid subdivided into 9 3 by 3
boxes. Some of the squares contain numbers. The object is to fill in the
remaining squares so that every row, every column, and every 3 by 3 box
contains each of the numbers from 1 to 9 exactly once.

Solving a sudoku puzzle involves pure logic. No guesswork is needed--or
even desirable. Getting started involves mastering just a few simple
techniques.

The book goes on from there. I think it costs roughly $10, but don't quote
me on that, as it was a few years ago that I bought the book from
