Hi Al and everyone,

Here you go. Here is a couple of Sendspace links for the Dos wrestling games
I have. If you are running a 32-bit OS like Windows XP then you won't have a
problem with these, but if you are running Windows 7 64-bit or Windows 8
64-bit then these games won't work. I usually play these on Linux using
Dosemu, but any OS with 16-bit Dos support will work. Here are the links.

Piledriver 4.9

Wrestling League Simulator 5.3

Enjoy!

league as Tom described. Apparently they are dos games, and something
 called Dosbox was mentioned.

I found all sorts of mentions of these games, but either I am looking in

Hi all well, it looks like the first time we are actually talking
about dragon pong on the list? Lol. But I wanna let y'all know I have
a dragon pong server up. I can tell you it works, me and Dick, aka
Roelvdwal from audiogames.net have played a few games, but for some
reason I got disconnected from him a while back. So if you want to
connect, here is the 411 on it note you need to have hamachi installed
look at the tutorial on bipassing port forwarding on the dragonapps
website under dragon pong for a download link for it. If you already
have it. Just go to the network menu alt+n and go to join network and
enter this stuff.
name
a dragon pong server
password
dragonapps
now when you connect, stay connected for a while I may not be hosting
the actual game just yet but be patient I haven't even had breakfast
yet lol. But in the game enter this stuff
port
2620
ip
25.196.94.178
For those who haven't heard of this game, it is a game similar to
showdown/tabletennis it isn't actually showdown because sometimes when
someone serves or returns the ball the crowd goes nuts unlike in
showdown, and being Ghorthalon has powerups as well! It can only be
played online. However Mason made a kind of clone called mtg pong
offline version of dragon pong. But you won't get the same experience
because he tweeked some things and most of the sounds excluding the
crowd have been changed. Anyway, okay let me know when connected.

Re: [Audyssey] Details of your favourite games.

2013-08-21 Thread Johnny Tai
My favorite game to date is probably Aprone's swamp...it is likely the first
and best of its kind IMO, it offers endless replay value, over 50 character
voices done by volunteers, a massive selection of weapons...and you can play
online with others or offline in the customized maps all on your own.
Lately he even added a player verses player mini game where one can either
be zombie or human and fight the opposite faction.
I grew up dreaming to one day be able to experience games like Resident
Evil, Paracite Eve, Silent Hill, House of Dead, etc, and Swamp has thus far
been a dream come true for me.
Also once you get used to using a mouse for gaming, and get a pistol-shaped
mouse like I did, man, the Swamp experience is divine.

Re: [Audyssey] FW: Details of your favourite games.

2013-08-21 Thread Allan Thompson
Ok, you asked for it, grin.

My favorite at the moment is tactical battles. It is both a wargame and
highly customizable, so that it covers any genre you want to create with it.

Also, entombed is a very close second. I suspect any rpg game would be an
instant favorite for me. The customization of TB inches entombed out of
first place for me.

I suspect I would like time of conflict, but I have to sit down and actually
play it. I think I don't right now, cause I would probably get hooked on it
and there isn't enough time in the day to do everything I want, lol.

Other games I find myself playing more often then not are a lot of the
spoonbill games, like uno, word target, battleship, etc. I also like some of
Jim Kitchen's games, especially monopoly and life.
I really like star trek final conflict, and I always figure out something
new that makes the game more fun every time.

Are you compileing a list of top ten games or something? Or is this an
appeal to have programmers focus on style of games? Just curious.

Well, that's about it.
Probably more then you asked for.

[Audyssey] replying to what my favorite game is

2013-08-21 Thread Charles Rivard
It is very difficult, because I don't have one favorite game. If I want a
quick game of action, I might choose Change Reaction's second version. A
puzzle oriented game might be Slide from L-Works or Soundoku from Draconis. My
favorite game of strategy is chess. Action? GTC or Lone Wolf or SOD. And
there are many games I haven't mentioned.

Re: [Audyssey] FW: Details of your favourite games.

2013-08-21 Thread Paul Lemm
Hi,

I would have to say my personal top 3 games would have to be

Swamp
Entombed
Tactical battle

although I haven't played as many games as others from this list they would
probably be the 3 I have played most.

I don't know if your aware but ian reed has put together a web page where
people can vote their favourite games. and the results are then listed in
a table so you can see the game's most popular/voted for by other audio
gamers. It's a good page and well worth a look also interesting to see the
games most voted for by others. you can even add your own votes to your
favourite games whilst there.

I grew up on all those games P Eve was one of the first in that gen.
those games I wouldn't classify them under the same gen as swamp. those
games were based on puzzles, stradigy, and storie line. well I can't say the
same for swamp as far as I know swamp is a fps, but you said about the gun

My favorite game to date is probably Aprone's swamp...it is likely the
first
and best of its kind IMO, it offers endless replay value, over 50
character
voices done by volunteers, a massive selection of weapons...and you can
play

online with others or offline in the customized maps all on your own.
Lately he even added a player verses player mini game where one can either
be zombie or human and fight the opposite faction.
I grew up dreaming to one day be able to experience games like Resident
Evil, Paracite Eve, Silent Hill, House of Dead, etc, and Swamp has thus
far

been a dream come true for me.
Also once you get used to using a mouse for gaming, and get a
pistol-shaped

mouse like I did, man, the Swamp experience is divine.

[Audyssey] Shadow Line let's play / walkthrough

2013-08-21 Thread Clement Chou
Hey all. So recently, there's been a game that's been garnering some attention
on the audio games forum... and that game is Shadow Line. It's grown immensely
popular there among a good lot of people, and I hope once you hear this
recording you'll see why. How to play Japanese games if you don't speak the
language has already been explained... and this game is perhaps the closest
thing to a j-rpg game that we have access to right now. You can listen to the
first part of the let's play att:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/3394499/shadow%20line%20let%27s%20play/shadow%20line%20lp%20part%201.mp3
Let me know what you think! I love this game, as with many of the other great
Japanese games we've recently found, and wish for more people to give these
things a try. If there is interest, I will put a link up to the setup file.
Enjoy!

I am not too surprised. The game hasn't been talked about too much
here on Audyssey, but it has been a topic of conversation on the
Audiogames.net forum. Unfortunately, I don't have a web address off
the top of my head so maybe someone can chime in here with one for
you.

Cheers!

Re: [Audyssey] replying to what my favorite game is

2013-08-21 Thread Thomas Ward
Hi Charles,

I here you there. With so many games out there I'm not sure how some
people can focus on any specific game and say it is their absolute
favorite. For me it depends on my mood, and interest at the time.

For example, this week I have been playing a rather extensive
championship tournament in Wrestling League Simulator. Okay, I like
the game, and am heavily invested in it this week, but I know next
week I'll probably get interested in something else. I don't focus on
any game long enough to have any specific favorite so to speak. It all
depends what I want at that moment in time. :D

Cheers!

It is very difficult, because I don't have one favorite game. If I want a
quick game of action, I might choose Change Reaction's second version. A
puzzle oriented game might be Slide from L-Works or Soundoku from Draconis.
My favorite game of strategy is chess. Action? GTC or Lone Wolf or SOD.
And there are many games I haven't mentioned.
