Re: [Audyssey] Shades of Doom was Hi

2007-11-28 Thread kevin and Emma
hi, what he means is the flame thrower is always in the game, it's the
location which is slightly random. it's usually on level 4 but never in the
same place as it's carried by a mutant human who wonders about.

the flamer is a random weapon its somewhere, however sometimes you can
just skip it unless you are out of amo.
in level6 you will get a longrange laser.

 Hello Hunter,
I don't know where you heard level 8 is timed, but it is not from
everything I can tell. I've played that game in and out and have never
found any reason to believe any levels are timed. The only tricky thing
about level 8 is the teleporters. One will take you into area 9 and the
other will trick you into teleporting to the beginning of the game.
Personally, unless I am in a hurry to end the game it is sort of fun
teleporting back to area 1 with all that armour and weapons it is pretty

much a cakewalk. It is kind of cool walking into a room with an unarmed
mutant and wiping them out with the automatic bolt gun or the laser
pistal. The Mutants are like, Haven't I seen you before? You go, Say

goodbye you blank! Add your own perfanity. You open up and they are
 like, Holy crap...!
Anyway, SOD is one awesome game. Perhaps not true Doom quality but close

enough to have fun with it.

How much time do you get?

No, you don't need to do anything special, but to get the sell option to
appear in your inventory you'll need to either be viewing either Griphooks
weapons or armour (the same lists wich allow you to buy the stuff). I
believe the links are called examine weapons or armour. Once you got the
list up, just open your inventory and you can sell things.

 Hth.

 Hi,
How in heavens name did you get over a hundred stamina and mr. I am just
approaching 50 each and I am stuck with getting much further. I need to
get better skills, and I'm not really sure where to go and how to get
that high a stamina and mr.
Though, I am still playing the free version, and perhaps that is the
 problem?

 Hi,

Trade Wars Rising requires that you fill out an audio captcha (type in
the characters from this image) with no audio alternative when you sign
up. Why are you posting this to a list for blind gamers? It's not
accessible in the least, and it's frankly obvious that the developers
don't care about accessibility or they would've fixed it long ago. I
respectfully submit that your post is off topic for this list.

 Hi listers,
As of the last few hours a few of the members of this list have been
attempting to pass around links to illegal copies of Microsoft Flight
Simulator 2002 on this list. As you might recall the list guide lines
states that illegal piracy of software on list will not be tolerated by
the list management. Thankfully, the two listers involved in this
illegal software piracy were already on list moderation, and the
moderators were able to block the messages from going through, and I
will be discussing with my fellow list managers what if anything else
should be done with the software pirates.
I would like to leave this point with everyone on list. Sharing software
product keys, cracks, etc is illegal by the laws of the USA. No matter
what your personal view is on the topic we as the list management uphold
the laws of the United States on this list, we protect companies
intellectual property rights, and we do not allow software pirates the
right to share such information with others on list. Depending on what
punishment the list management chooses such action can land a member of
this list on temporary or full time moderation, and if we feel it
necessary the member may be band from the list. Keep that in mind when
you consider pirating on list. Repeat offenders will be band, and they
will not be allowed to return.

 Hi,

I think I found a bug in Jim's nfl football game. I went in to play and
after a few plays saved my game. Then I exited the game menu and loaded
 jaws
checked some emails and things then unloaded the screen reader and then
 went
back to my game. After I did this, I played a few more plays. none of the
teams scored yet. The teams in week3 are the patriots and dolphins. When i
press f3 to hear the score it sounds like scansoft tom just says: tide 0
all. After a few more plays in which nobody scored I still heard tide 0
 all
when pressing f3. Is this a bug? Can anyone else confirm this?

I've seen someone from Bavisoft posting on the audio games.net forum, and
the website is stil up and running, and as far as I know they're stil
selling games.

there was a 4 year gap betwene Grizly gulch and Chillingham, so while the
lack of a sequel is indeed most annoying, especially given the not
exactly conclusive ending, I don't think we have reason to worry until at
least 209.

Perhaps somebody who was around here for the release of Chillingham could
let us know, was Bavisoft as silent betwene Grizly gulch and Chillingham?

If they gave lots of developement updates before they released Chillingham,
perhaps we should be concerned, but if not, - frustrating as it is, all
we can do is wait and have confidence in Bavisoft.

Beware the grue!

2007-08-11 Thread kevin and Emma
hi all, this is just a quick notice to let everyone know that i'll be geting
back into moderating the list again. not fulltime, but just to cover the times
when raul and tom have other commitments. you won't notice any changes to the
list or the guidelines so post as normal. just one note i have to make here
though. can everyone, especially those new to the list, familiarise themselves
with the list guidelines. There's been a couple of disturbances on list
recently, mostly by newer members, which have been in blatent breach of the
guidelines. the guidelines are there for a purpose and raul, tom and myself
have no hesitation in applying them. ignorance is no defense as the guidelines
are posted every month to the list, and are available on request at anytime.
it doesn't matter whether you've been a member for a week or 5 years, the
guidelines apply to you all, and to myself, raul and tom also. so let's get on
with gaming! shall we?

I think that posting the guidelines once a week would be too often. For
me,
once a month is probably the best. New members get a copy when they join,
so they can't say they haven't gotten them. Another thought is to maybe
 use
the subject line of list guidelines if they have not been modified and
 the
subject line of revised list guidelines' if they have. In this way,
 those
of us who have read them before can skip the post knowing that it is a
reRun, so to speak. If we see revised guidelines, we know to check for
 modifications. Thanks.

I would like to see my eleven year old son participate on a gaming list,
especially because he is one of the youngest human beings to ever beat
Troopanum version 2.0 and get a recording of it. The problem with this,
is that there is enough to watch out for on television, movies, and
music to be worried about language used on a mailing list which is
supposed to be family oriented. Secondly, it really is discourteous for
people to send me-too type one liner messages. Things like I agree,
write me off list I'm back are not acceptable. If you want to write
someone privately, use your head and write that person privately by
writing to their email address which you most definitely have access to
since they wrote something on the list. Writing about how you feel
today, headaches, stress, etc which again, usually consists of one line
is something which really, nobody cares.

With all that being said, please, let's make this an enjoyable list for
everyone, by everyone, I mean anyone who is not an adult, and people who
have to pay for their time online or their bandwidth and don't really
want to see a lot of one liner messages.

That stupid kid! I guess he needs to understand a little more
about pirating. He's only 11 I think. But I might have to agree
with him on one point. Many of the games out there aren't really
worth playing. Rail Racer, Judgment Day, Super Liam, Lone Wolf,
Gma Tank Commander, and some others are really worth my time, and
eventually, even most of those lose their replay value at some
point. But I don't agree with Andy that pirating games is fun.

 pirating

[Audyssey] Fw: [GMAGamesTalk] The new GMA Mud client is coming

Subject: [GMAGamesTalk] The new GMA Mud client is coming

 Hi all,

VipMud is a Mud client that we are currently about to alpha test. For
 those
of you who do not know what a Mud Client is, it is a communications
 program
which allows you to communicate with on-line multi-user games on the
 internet.

In the past such clients as the following were used:
 1. GMud. More or less accessible, but not usually right out of the box.
Its main weakness was that it had no scripting capabilities, and in my
opinion not too much better than a Telnet client.
 2. TinTin+ - an Unix text -based client which is an excellent program, but
it was only available for those accessing the internet through a Unix
 shell.
 3. ZMud - Another excellent program, but almost totally inaccessible.
Mush Client - A reportedly good client supported by Jaws scripts, but it
does not work right out of the box. Certainly it is not as powerful as
 TinTin+ nor ZMud.

The VipMud client that I always wanted would do the following:
 1. work right out of the box without having to download scripts or make
 many
 setup option changes.
 2. Work directly with Jaws, Window Eyes, and MS Sapi.
 3. Be able to use multiple voices concurrently, and be able to mix MS Sapi
speech with a screen reader voice. Also have different voices assigned to
different activities such as incoming text, command entry, script editing,
 system messages, and so on.
 4. The gamer should be able to play multiple characters on a single Mud or
on multiple Muds at one time, and the characters should be able to work
together using triggers, aliases, macros, and other scripting commands.
 5. Support for.Wav, .OGG, and .MP3 files. These files should be played as
background, or when an event is triggered such as when you kill a monster
 or
you sustain an injury, or to indicate low stats such as energy, mana, hit
 points, and so on.
 6. The scripting commands should be voice oriented. For example, you may
want to stop speaking spam, but you may want it still displayed on the
screen for future use. Or you don't want something displayed on the
 screen,
 but you want it spoken.
 7. Lots of accessibility aids. An example of one is let's say a character
name Xandiavier asks you a question. It is a painful and time consuming
experience to first find his name on the output screen, if your client
allows this, and then cut and copy it to your entry field. inStead you
could type: Tell X, then press control-space to complete the word with
 the
client doing the work by finding it in your recent output info, and then
finishing with how's it going? The End result is Tell Xandiavier How's
it going? Other shortcuts are needed as well, such as quickly finding a
previously entered command by typing one or more of its leading characters
and pressing, say Shift-space. Another helpful tool would allow you to
extract hard to remember place names, character names, spells, and weapons
from a built-in list of names and phrases which you maintain with just a
 simple keystroke.

judge it correctly and you can enter the room, kill the bot and the key is

[Audyssey] for all fans of the game trade wars

2006-10-14 Thread kevin and emma
hi all, read on if your a fan of the game trade wars.

This message is being sent to you on behalf of EIS Online the developers and
owners of Trade Wars 2002.

Dear Trade Wars fan,

As we approach the 20th anniversary of the original release of Trade Wars
(December, 1986), I am pleased to announce that I have reached an agreement
with
Sylien Entertainment to develop a long-overdue graphical remake of this
classic game. But before we can proceed, we need your help. Because Trade
Wars
is 20 years old, I have lost touch with all but a small percentage of its
fanbase. Unless we can reach out to this fanbase and prove that interest in
Trade Wars still exists, we will be unable to secure the funding necessary
to complete this project.

To accomplish this, we are running a small survey to estimate the number of
people who have played or hosted Trade Wars over the years. By answering
this
one-question survey, you will enable us to demonstrate the great potential
of a new Trade Wars project. Nothing else will be required of you, but if
you
choose, you may request to receive a monthly Trade Wars newsletter with
updates on our progress. And if you really want to help out, you can
complete
an optional, more extensive survey. We would love to learn more about your
experience with Trade Wars.

The survey is located at
http://www.sylien.com/survey.php

For this effort to succeed, I need you to forward this email to anyone who
might be in contact with a past Trade Wars player or game host. Most of
them
have been away from the game for many years, and this is our only hope of
reaching them.

Thank you for helping us to update this classic game for a new generation of
gamers!

John Pritchett, EIS

what it sounds like, then then it should be some kind of strategy country
management type game which is one of my favourite Genres. Can you also
tell
me how accessible it is so I can know what to expect from it?

Re: [Audyssey] Player selection in Battrick

2006-10-12 Thread kevin and emma
hi, when you enter the combo box listing your players, you need to open the
list (alt +down arrow in jfw), then select the player you want, then close
the list in the combo box (alt +up arrow in jfw). i don't know what the
keystroke is in any other screen reader. if you don't open and close the
list in the combobox, the game will not save your selections.

i've seen this list almost torn apart over that topic, and it is not going

As far as I know, James is still working on a game development system
and
  is
going to have Max completed which will act as a demonstration of what
  this
development system can do. Of course, that news is fairly old now.
Given
  the
grief he's taken for being so public about things, I wouldn't be
  surprised
if he hasn't updated his web site. We likely won't hear a thing from
him
until Max or this system is completely ready. There's also a ton of
other
responsibilities and things happening in his life. The whole fiasco has
doubtless almost completely destroyed his motivation for producing
accessible games. Progress will therefore likely be quite slow.

Re: [Audyssey] Another website to check out

2006-09-25 Thread kevin and emma
hi rich, well if the subscription is free, then why not try it yourself?
accessibility or otherwise varies wildly between people and what one says
is, may not be to others. also depends on what access technology your using,
etc. i'm not criticising, but repeatedly posting links and then asking if
they are accessible without trying them for yourself on a list will only get
people asking the same sort of questions i am. and if noone is playing those
games, then you won't get an answer anyhow. i've seen 3 messages of this
sort from you in the last 24 hours, and you haven't got an answer to any of
them so far. in that time, you could have found out for yourself! smile.

 Hi John,
I only have the link for the home page and that is as far as I have
ventured. You have to subscribe to enter the site and join the games and
such. That is why I was inquiring if it was accessible or not, and if it
was
how difficult it was to learn and play. Thus the reasoning for my
questions.
Sometimes there is a madness to my method! ha ha ha

and
grab the keys it sometimes drops when it runs away. Try as you might you
 won't kill it.

 Hi,
Yeah, fortification is a cool power to have as long as it is above the
 20's in skill level.
Generally, I don't by my weapons prefering to upgrade with those off of
my enemies. However, buying will get you a high mr or stamina quickly.

As previously mentioned by me, the tom adventure keeps the same difficulty
for everyone, though the others don't. Keep at that one for a while, and
you'll eventually beat it. If you haven't done it already, I suggest
getting
yourself some blessings of protection from the cathedral in Talonis.

[Audyssey] sryth advice needed

2006-09-19 Thread kevin and emma
hi all, i've just started playing this one. i tried it a while ago but never
got very far. just wondering if there's anything major i should do early in
the game to help myself. i've done some stuff. i've got the flask from the
tavern, i've been given a magical dagger and i've just been given a stone
medalian.
i seem to get killed in 90 % of my encounters though which is slightly
annoying! smile.
also i've got about 2000 experience. does this serve much of a purpose other
than being used to training skills? and is it worth using a lot of it to
train some skills? my M.R. is 28 and my staminer? is 41/41. this does seem a
bit low.

 Hi Kevin,
The entire purpose of experience points is to apply them to increasing
your magical powers, skills, and other features. By all means train up
your skills so you have some higher ratings than that. My MR right now
is close to 50. Of course I have a lot of skill in weapons and a
 specialty in slashing.
I'd say really work on your weapons skill, then get yourself a sword,
seak out Theona and get a specialty in slashing. Then, see the munk and
get a specialty in bashing weapons. If you want you can get skills in
archery which comes in handy as well.
If you are getting killed aloot there is usually two very possible
reasons. Either your skills are to low for the task, or you rolled bad
stats for your character to begin with.

hi ari, don't worry! yet again they've abandoned the FC games due to
technical problems. looks like there gone for good this season too. but just
for reference, in the boxes, you put the number of runs you wanted to
declare at. for example, in mine i put 450 for first innings and 400 for
second i think.

 Hi guys,
I'm sitting here with, as you guys call it, egg all over my face! In that
box it tells you to set a first innings declaration. JFW read to me that
in
the box was -4, or something like that. I thought that was for hundreds,
or
I don't know if I didn't understand properly, but I put a five in instead.
This morning, my team start for their first FC game, and I'm going to
lose!
Why? The declared on 5 runs! I think I'll have to save the match by
setting
everything to very defensive and hoping for the best! How does this
declaration edit box actually work? Ouch!

 Hi everyone,
I've made a very bad mistake with coaching in Battrick. You don't have 5
of
each type of coach, I did some experimenting and see that you have 10
training sessions. Of those sessions, you hire coaches from batting,
bowling, fielding, keeping, and fitness to fill these. Example,
3 batting, 3 bowling, 1 fitness, 1 keeping, and two fielding would make
your
10 sessions. Your sessions would then be 3 bowling, 3 batting, etc. If you
hire more than ten, those coaches just waste money (I wasted so much
resource!) So, again, if I were to hire 10 fitness coaches and no others,
all my 10 sessions would be just fitness, or 9 fitness and 1 bowling, the
 same.
The new Battrick season starts on September 10, and it's going to now also
 have three day matches!
Simon, I've found your team and have challenged you, so I think you have
to
go to your pavilion page to accept so we'll have a friendly.
Kevin, I haven't found your team yet, is it more than one word and is it
called It's not cricket? I'll look, but in case I don't find it by search,
in what region of England are you? If you want to have a friendly against
me, my team is called Uninspiring Batting, and it's in the Gauteng region
of
 South Africa.

Re: [Audyssey] battrick.

2006-09-12 Thread kevin and emma
hi, maybe the below will help. it's taken from within the sledging forum on
battrick.org. i've worked the 3 day game selection thing out so if i can
help let me know. but read the following first.

A quick guide to the new orders for First Class games...

Spell Orders? What's that about?

Hover your mouse over 'Spell Orders'

Max Overs / Min Overs / Max Runrate

These are guidelines you can set to your captain.
A spell is a period of bowling. Unlike in one-day games, there are no limits
on how many overs a bowler can bowl.

In real life, fast bowlers have short spells of maybe 4 to 8 overs. But if
they are taking lots of wickets the captain will let them bowl for longer.

A spinner can bowl almost endlessly... more than 20 overs in a spell. But if
you have a high stamina spinner, and he is being hit for 10 an over, you
want
your captain to take him off! So you can suggest how many runs you think
that bowler should be allowed to concede per over.

Example

Max Overs / Min Overs / Max Runrate

e.g. 8-4-6

His spell will be at least 4 overs, at most 8 overs, but will end if he
concedes more than 6 runs an over.

Declaring

If you are batting against a rubbish team, for example Moss Side
(4618)
in IV.24 in England, you will score many thousands of runs. But the match
only lasts 3 days, so while it's cool to spend 3 days scoring 800 for 2, the
match
will be a draw. You can set a declaration target. When your team have scored
that many runs, they will declare their innings over, and you can start
bowling
at the other team.

Following on

Imagine you bat first and score lots of runs, say 600.

Then you bowl the other team out for 100. He's so far behind that you can
force him to bat again. That's called making him follow on. i.e. he bats,
and
bats again.

Now you still have another turn left, so if he scores 501 in his second
innings, you need to score 2 runs to win.

Only the team that bats first can make someone follow on.

In RL teams don't always enforce the follow on - sometimes their bowlers are
too tired and they want to allow them to put their feet up for a bit and
normally
it is harder to bat last as the pitch cracks up.

However if one team is better than the other they will normally enforce the
follow on as in cricket you aren't just playing against the opposition, you
are also playing against the clock as you need to take 20 wickets inside a
certain time (in battrick 3 days, in test matches 5 days) in order to win.
If
you bat twice it gives you less time to bowl the opposition out twice.

Priority

Use the priority boxes to select the five or six players you want to bowl.
Priority acts like a ranking system. When a bowler gets tired, the captain
will
look to change the bowling. He will (depending on circumstances) use the
highest ranked player available.

For example, if you have two spinners, one proficient and one competent, you
might want to set the proficient spinner to priority 4, and the competent to
priority 5. That way, the captain is more likely to use your better spinner.

 Hi Ian,
Sorry, to open and close combo boxes, it's alt up and down. I'm now not
sure, you guys have probably heard of the new engine for the first class,
three day matches. I don't understand order setting with that. You get the
player combo box, then the style ones, and the radio buttons, but then you
get one with numbers 1 to 12 and a --- line on top, and after that, you
get
edit fields with numbers in like 8.4, etc. What do these mean, the rules
 haven't been updated.

Re: [Audyssey] battrick.

2006-09-12 Thread kevin and emma
hi, it's not actually a problem. if you look at the jfw help files, it tells
you this is how you open and close and select in a combo box. it's just that
some sites seem to be able to hold on to the selection without the openeing
and closing, battrick doesn't in the player selection area, but it does on
other parts of the site though.

 Hi Ian,
You go to the combo box, with jfw you press alt and down it should say
'open' choose player, then press alt up and it should say 'closed.' I
think
this problem should be really simple to fix, but I'm just not sure how to
explain the problem to the battrick staff. If you guys could help me, we
could make a letter and email it to battrick. How do you explain the
problem, something like: 'we sellect items from the combo boxes, but
they're
 not staying selected?'

hi all, thought some of you would like to know the following sad news i've
just got off another list.

Hello Folks,
If you have not already heard, Debbie Scales, moderator of the JFWLite

site has since been closed, and her husband's e-mail address is listed on
the web site's closing message. For those of you who benefited from the
group and web site's scripts and services, it would be nice for you to drop
him a note.

She contributed much valued work and helping many around the world with her

Re: [Audyssey] Battrick question

2006-08-13 Thread kevin and emma
hi, the issue with the combo boxes can be solved. if you open and close them
each time you want to change, this stops them resetting themselves. that's
control and down arrow to open; and control and up arrow to close once
you've selected the player you want. that's using jfw by the way. my team
is: it isn't cricket on battrick. i'm farely new to the game but i think i
know it pretty well already. so if i can help, just yell.

 Hi Simon,
That's what I couldn't make out, did the mannual mean 5 of each coach, or
a
combined total of 5 coaches. I'm also not understanding training. If I
went
on everyday and changed my players training, would that benefit, or does
training count only once a week. I'll try and find you and we can have a
friendly. Also their is quite a bit of trouble setting your orders because
the combo boxes have this awful habit of somehow resetting! My teams doing
so poorly, for all I'm worth I'm trying to hire many PR people to get some
sponsors! I'm also not sure how many sports psychologists to hire.

2006-07-06 Thread kevin and emma
hi all, before anyone starts getting to in-depth about this topic, i'd just
like to point out that ivan is currently not a member of this list. after
much discussion between myself and tom and raul, he was temporarily removed
from the list a week or so ago. mainly due to his attitude to other members
and the misleading (some may even call it blatent lying) about the game he
was supposed to be working on. i am telling you all this as i do not want
the list cluttered up with useless messages aimed at ivan when he won't be
able to read them. by all means comment on what liam has posted, but please
remember the list guidelines! just because the member in question is not
here, doesn't mean it's ok to abuse him.

Subject: [Audyssey] blaytont Forgery regarding Ivan

I was given permission by the mods to post this so that everyone knows
what's going on. I'm not hear to start a flame war.

Let me first start by sayign that I have no ill will towards anyone
wanting to start developing games. In fact I've had the pleasure of
actually helping a few people get their feet wet when it comes to
programming. The issue I have is when things like the below happen.

As you all know, Ivan was rather ambitious about his new project. You may
have seen Brandon's message to the list a few days ago. Ivan had sent him
source code which had no resemblance to only code that is writable by a
human. I'm not here to dog on Ivan for lying. Here's my problem.

This morning, Brandon alerted me to a trailer Ivan had recorded. The file
was shifted down by 3 semi tones for some reason, and the file was of Ivan
explaining his new game and giving a demonstration of it. As I love to do,
I took the file in to sound forge and decided to play with it. I knew the
file wasn't naturally recorded the way it was, so I shifted it up. To my
amazement, the file sounded very much like Super Liam. I had originally
thought that maybe he had sampled the sounds. Upon closer listening and
some compression work, I found unmistakable proof that the game had actually
been recorded and the sounds shifted down. I was absolutely furious. What
Ivan was attempting to do was to play my own product, and then to say that
what he was playing was his own creation. It does not work like that. that
is balytonly against the law. I think Ivan may have some pathological lying
issues, but I am not here to judge. I just want to make this clear. If
anyone ever receives a trailer that sounds lik
e it may be of another developers product, let them know. We spend long
hours working hard to bring games to the masses, and we don't respect when
children think that they can get away with changing a few sounds and calling
the game there own.

I certainly don't want to discourage people from developing computer
games, but please be realistic and don't ly about what you have or haven't
done. It will only hurt you in the end. I'm afraid Ivan's reputation has
been fairly damaged due to this and other events.

I am not sure if I had the go ahead to post this, but if anyone wanted to
hear the file it can be found at.
 http://www.liamerven.com/ivansgame.ogg

I hope that everyone can take something positive away from this.

 Liam

 Hi all

First off let me appologize deeply about the delay in the magazine. The
next issue will be coming out in the next two days. Even if it's somewhat
late. On the upside I've been able to find some other announcements and
 updates.
Without going into tons of details I was awhile without any internet
connection, my personal life circumstances have taken a change for the
better, my guide dog and a car, and lastly I've recently lost someone very
 close and dear to me.
By no means am I trying to create excuses, But rather realizing that
life
in the fast lane makes me want to find the nearest off ramp!

 Talk soon

Again I'm sorry about the delay

Re: [Audyssey] some people don't like challenge

2006-06-26 Thread kevin and emma
hi all, couldn't agree more. beat the game and then play with the cheat
codes. the current accessible games we have are nothing like as complex as
those in the sighted world. if your stuck ask for a hint and then try again.
beating a game using a walk through has to be one of the most unsatisfactory
ways of beating a game. i can honestly say the only game, and even then,
it's only one level of the game, i've ever resorted to a full blown walk
through for was the ledges level in monkey business. no matter how many
times i tried, i could never beat that level! smile.

Here are my thoughts regarding cheating in games.
Firstly, I only use actual cheat codes for one of two reasons: If the game
in question is one that I can't actually play due to inaccessibility, but
I
still like the idea of messing around with everything in the game, I'll
cheat. GTA is a great example of this. 2: I've beaten the game so many
times that I wanna see what the cheat codes are like. Superliam is a great
 example of this.
Secondly, I believe in unlockables. If you can accomplish something in a
game and get something really awesome for it, even if the awesome thing in
question goes a bit beyond the game's standard of realism, then it's
alright. Why is it alright? Because you earned what you got by
accomplishing
something that was either very difficult or very important. On a side
note,
the trophy and unlockable system that will be appearing in Liam's
Judgement
Day game was almost completely my idea. I mention it here because I sense
that Liam may not remember that.
So that's what I think about cheating. Unlockables rule, and cheats are
for
when you're just having fun. Beat the game first, a couple times if
possible, and then go right on ahead and cheat.

  Hi, Charles.
I have noticed that observation as well. That is one reason I don't add
cheet codes, and some things are intentionally left out for a purpose.
When I play GMA's titles say GTC everyone wanted to give out cheats when
I wanted was hints on different approaches to try. Cheating takes away
from agames discovery, trial and error, etc.
In some cases in my games like in Monty I can't give you a specific time
to jump as it really is a hand ear thing. It took me practice as well,
and it was true for the original game for the Atari. The only difference
was you had to see when it was getting to close and jump. This case is
  hear and jump.
The spider at the lava pit. Knowing when to jump is key to getting
passed him, and getting over the second lava pit successfully. How do
you gain that knolege? Simple practice.
