Re: [Audyssey] Problem with Super Deegout
Hi Ryan, Yes, that works as well. Starting with Shades of Doom 1.2 David Greenwood has started packing some VB 6 dependencies with his games. GMA like several other developers have begin adding a streamlined Visual Basic install with their games since there is no way to know if the necessary components will be present on the end users machine. Pretty much every computer made in the last three/four years definitely doesn't have it. So in that respect the apps written in Visual Basic 6 and earlier are beginning to show their age. Fortunately, so far just packing those dependencies with the installer works. Smile. Hi Tom, All I had to do was install Shades of Doom. lol Something simple for once. I guess Shades of Doom has some files I needed. -- Original Message -- From: Thomas Ward To: Gamers Discussion list Subject: Re: [Audyssey] Problem with Super Deegout Date: Mon, 14 Mar 2011 13:31:30 -0400 Hi Ryan, I'm not absolutely certain, but it sounds like a corrupted temp directory. You might want to clear out your temp directories and try the install again. I'm not sure about your system, but generally my setup files get copied to c:\Users\Thomas\App Data\Local\Temp and deleting the files in there cleans up any installation files left over from prior installs. Try that and let me know how it works for you. If that doesn't work you'll have to check the logs for the exact error reports and error codes. That's the only way to get a real idea of what is causing it to blow up. HTH On 3/14/11, Ryan Conroy wrote: > Hi Tom, > > I got Super Deekout working. Thanks. > Now, I'm having another problem.
