Re: [Audyssey] swamp, looking for the definition of a truck sitter
Well, you get your speed, sneak, gilly suit, and illusive maxed out. Then you ping the jerk, and make a lot of noise. I say ping him because some will leave the truck and go hide in the break room or some place like that, so you gotta follow. Then, make a lot of noise by him and bring in the zombies. Then grab your sniper and run. Then, once he's dead, you cook him and have truck-sitter for dinner. Re: [Audyssey] swamp, looking for the definition of a truck sitter
Yeah, well don't defend by the truck. If you want to defend the truck, then stand on the other side of it. For example, if zombies are coming north to the truck, get south of them and shoot from there. On my missions, the truck is a designated healing station, and often times I will ask someone with a lot of med kits to wait there if others don't have any. Then the wounded gather there, are healed, and can search on. Also, if a guy has a few cans of fuel and he's run out of med kits, I'll tell him he should truck sit so that he can lead missions when we get back. See, I don't eat *every* truck sitter... Re: [Audyssey] swamp, looking for the definition of a truck sitter
I have no problem with a newbie sitting in on a mission or two, but think that it's ridiculous for newbies to be joining high-level missions. Every time the levels were reset in Swamp, I had to work my tail off to get the level I had, and so should they. That issue aside though, I encourage newbies to stay by the truck their first mission or two, so they can have enough rep to get ammo, armor, and whatever else they need to be able to survive. As Sherminator said, we will get you killed if you truck sit too long, and a guy named Seideln got banned for it, so watch out--we will be! - Original Message - From: "Richard Sherman" To: "Gamers Discussion list" Sent: Monday, April 16, 2012 8:27 PM Subject: Re: [Audyssey] swamp, looking for the definition of a truck sitter Hi, My definition of a truck sitter is one who usually stays inside the trailer, but not always. They do nothing to help. In a few cases, I have gone on low level missions to help out. I let those who need the rep grab the crates, and I just make sure the zombies don't get out of hand. Helping to clear parts or repacking. Or any other spot they seem to be coming in on. I even know one guy who went outside in the parking lot to make some noise to keep them out of the building as best as possible. They collected no crates, but helped in a different way. Also know of a few people who I had thought of them as truck sitters. But now they are doing well and helping as much as they can on missions. it was just that they were probably just trying to figure out how the mission goes, what to do, and the layout of the warehouse. If you think you have a truck sitter, get them killed. Lure a few zombies back to the trailer and no more truck sitter. Fair warning to all truck sitters. Re: [Audyssey] swamp, looking for the definition of a truck sitter
Audio ID in pings is coming from what I understand. A truck sitter is someone who just sits in the truck for the majority of the mission and does nothing. Worse than that, some truck sitters think they're doing okay by sitting in the truck and shooting zombies. They think they're defending the truck, but what they are really doing is calling all the zombies in the area to the truck. If I catch any of you doing stuff like that, I'll cook you on the spot and eat you. Hey, times are tough, and I'm hungry! I would agree with this assessment. You do need guards at the truck. Otherwise, you will have a catastrophe in terms of loading your crates on and taking him to wherever they need to go. Re: [Audyssey] swamp, looking for the definition of a truck sitter
Well defenders usually stand in prime positions and shoot zombies, though they do search for crates if they need to. Usually the ones that have the most weapons or that choose to can become a defender. This helps in cases where you start with a little load out. Ofcause positions change from time to time.
