After I entered the lake with breathing potion I didn't had any posibilities to dave in the lake. It won't necessarily always tell you you have the option to dive. You just have to try it. You'll have to kill a huge snake in order to enter it and yes, you'll want a water breathing potion on hand in order to survive underwater, otherwise you'll take damage fairly rapidly. Sure. First, make sure you've done the quests from the leader of the camp. He'll guide you through the starting portion of the game. Once you get far enough in quests, he'll tell you to go take out the kobold leader. Just keep talking to everybody you meat, you'll get to the larger game soon. To make it quicker/easier, you can just type the first 3 letters, or sometimes even less than that, for example, if you can't remember what number waypoint the stony field is, you can just type way stony. I can never remember the numbers of waypoints I use. This can also apply for the game in general. To cast spells, I just type c space c space l, for example, to cast cause light wounds on a mob. This much was probably already obvious, but I only realized that after I started playing. Also if you have a num pad on your keyboard, you can turn num lock on and use the 8 to go north, 6 to go east etc, although this is dependent up on which client you're using. I know it works in mush z on the windows computers, but not sure about VIP mud. OK, this is probably going away from the topic, so I'll just go away now. Ok I see what you mean but I just don't find it too different from most other muds. I think there's a few type of mudders out there. For example: hack and slashers, go to Mume or Alter Aeon. For hardCore roleplayers, find a mush, etc because usually I think that's most that goes on there. Also Achaea, Achaea rocks but to be honest, I haven't found anything to do on that game. If you want a good IronReamls game, lasternia would have to be my game. I guess I won't get into what it's like as I'd have to change the entire subject, but I'll say that when I logged on, joined a guild and got seddled, they lead me to a mob teacher to learn my skills from. i didn't like the druid stuff on Achaea; every time I wanted to learn a skill: Did you read the scrolls? i say yess, because I do, and then they quizz me on it. Like Lasternia, they have the scrolls, it's nice to read them, but at least with me, I wasn't quizzed on a stupid help file. Plus, with muds, I have an extremely hard time remembering where things are, even if they aren't far away. I'm often made fun of for it, but what can I do? That's me, I suppose. Like on discworld, I have extreme troubles on that mud. I mean, going back to IR and lasternia again, yes, they have guild requirements for acomplishing certain ranks etc like till your off the probation just like Achaea, but in Lasternia I seemed to get more help. Hmm, is there a mudding list where people discuss certain muds? If so i'd love to get on one, start one, or something. I know many people aren't a fan of mudding here, but I am and that's really all I do while waiting for hopefully bigger and better audio games to come out. But, as Ian did say, yes, there are better muds out there than Alter, and I personally don't play it because of this reason, and I agree with Zack. Well if you're having difficulty getting around in muds you could try nodeka which is a fascinating quest filled mud with realistic characters and great players. There is a map that always appears over the latest description of where ever you are that allows you to look around that zone with less difficulty. The maps are similar to nethack maps if you understand those the only thing is it's a little annoying listening to your speech reader reading out the map before describing the area so you can turn off the auto map and call it up when ever you like with the map command. I think there's a few type of mudders out there. For example: hack and slashers, go to Mume or Alter Aeon. For hardCore roleplayers, find a mush, etc because usually I think that's most that goes on there. Also Achaea, Achaea rocks but to be honest, I haven't found anything to do on that game. If you want a good IronReamls game, lasternia would have to be my game. I guess I won't get into what it's like as I'd have to change the entire subject, but I'll say that when I logged on, joined a guild and got seddled, they lead me to a mob teacher to learn my skills from. i didn't like the druid stuff on Achaea; every time I wanted to learn a skill: Did you read the scrolls? i say yess, because I do, and then they quizz me on it. Like Lasternia, they have the scrolls, it's nice to read them, but at least with me, I wasn't quizzed on a stupid help file. Plus, with muds, I have an extremely hard time remembering where things are, even if they aren't far away. I'm often made fun of for it, but what can I do? That's me, I suppose. Like on discworld, I have extreme troubles on that mud. I mean, going back to IR and lasternia again, yes, they have guild requirements for acomplishing certain ranks etc like till your off the probation just like Achaea, but in Lasternia I seemed to get more help. Hmm, is there a mudding list where people discuss certain muds? If so i'd love to get on one, start one, or something. I know many

I think there's a few type of mudders out there. For example: hack and slashers, go to Mume or Alter Aeon. For hardCore roleplayers, find a mush, etc because usually I think that's most that goes on there. Also Achaea, Achaea rocks but to be honest, I haven't found anything to do on that game. If you want a good IronReamls game, lasternia would have to be my game. I guess I won't get into what it's like as I'd have to change the entire subject, but I'll say that when I logged on, joined a guild and got seddled, they lead me to a mob teacher to learn my skills from. i didn't like the druid stuff on Achaea; every time I wanted to learn a skill: Did you read the scrolls? i say yess, because I do, and then they quizz me on it. Like Lasternia, they have the scrolls, it's nice to read them, but at least with me, I wasn't quizzed on a stupid help file. Plus, with muds, I have an extremely hard time remembering where things are, even if they aren't far away. I'm often made fun of for it, but what can I do? That's me, I suppose. Like on discworld, I have extreme troubles on that mud. I mean, going back to IR and lasternia again, yes, they have guild requirements for acomplishing

That may be, but in my opinion, alter aeon is a good mud, and it's the most accessible one with features specifically designed to make it easier for a blind person to play.
