[Audyssey] self destruct

2006-10-22 Thread Nicol
Hi all
The file was successfully sent to robin kip. I'm very excited to hear what you
all think about the game. I'm looking forward to those tips on how to beat the
urchin lord!
If anyone comes across the latest version of self destruct which is version
1.2, please send it to me! this version I sent was 1.1.6. ON the
audiogames.net website I read about version 1.2 where there is murchin robots
from whom you can buy items. and the urchins can sometimes destroy the
murchin robots. this feature is not in 1.1.6. Here you buy items from a
store. You press the letter d and then you can choose to buy items or track an
urchin.
If a copy of version 1.2 can still be found somewhere
maybe the bug where the game's sounds gets mixed up after you died in the
urchinlord battle, is fixed in 1.2. Please feel free to ask me should anyone
need some tips on the game. I have beaten the urchin lord on easy difficulty
level and I've beaten all 10 levels on normal difficulty level, I'm now busy
with the urchinlord fight on normal difficulty level.
The urchin lord battle on normal difficulty is a bit harder than on easy and
that's where I need tips, but furthermore the game is exactly the same on
normal as on easy. ON easy the urchins entering room 91 gets a fatal shock,
but not on normal. ON hard the urchins will chase you and on insane the alpha
urchin will also set mines that you need to avoid and the medic urchin will
try to kill you.
thomas and raul, please don't consider this as a cracking discussion. since the
game is no longer supported by the developer,I can surely explain to the guys
how to register the full version. You will find a file named keygen.exe in
your program files folder after installation. run this file and paste the key
into the box when you start the game. First you need to copy your product ID.
So you first have to go into the game, wait for the voice that say: please
select a difficulty level and then ensure that your screen reader is on and go
into the registration menu with alt+r and select create product ID. Then
type in your name and press the copy product ID button. Then close that
dialogue and exit the game with shift+del. Now go into the game again and make
sure the key has been copied and paste it and you will have a registered copy
of the game.If you don't create the product ID, the game will not work; you
will only have the demo. The best is to use sappi5. the game supports jaws
and window eyes, but I have found with jaws that the speech doesn't
syncronize with game play. IN other words, when you press spacebar on the
pass processor if you have the chip, if you use jaws with the game jaws will
speak while the pass processor is destroying itself. With sapi, sapi will
first give the information whether to use the bom or to find the teleporter, and
after sapi finished speaking the pass processor will destroy itself. The
same with the road runner urchin. If you are using jaws the moment you are
teleported into the bonus level, the road runner urchin will start moving
while jaws is speaking, but with sapi it will speak and then the road runner
urchin will move once sapi finished speaking. And I can't find window eyes to
work. When I have window eyes active and I press its key in the game to use
it as active voice, I get an error that window eyes is not installed.
Happy self destroying, lol

Re: [Audyssey] playability of Playstation 2 games?

2006-10-22 Thread Ryan Strunk
I think it all comes down to what you're looking for in a game, how much
sighted help you have, how much you're willing to experiment, and a whole
host of other factors. In the end, it all amounts to how much accessibility
you want, and what degree of inaccessibility you're willing to put up with.
Would you know just from the sounds that one of Scorpion's combos in MK III
has him pulling out a battleaxe and slicing his opponent up with it? Can you
tell what a fatality does just by the sounds it makes, or do you need a
sighted person or internet site to describe them to you?
Personally, I'm into the games purely from a point of nostalgia, and enjoy
watching someone play if they describe. Occasionally, I'll even pick up a
controller, study the move lists, and do a little button mashing myself, but
I also won't convince myself that I'm really playing the game. I could
probably steal a car in GTA III, and could probably shoot a few people, but
I could never jump the buildings on my motorcycle or take pictures of the
philandering senator--and if I can't do those things, I can't complete the
game, and if I can't complete the game, is it really even accessible?

[Audyssey] ot:Mario

2006-10-22 Thread Kim Etheridge
Hi. Does anyone know where I can find a whole recorded game of the original
Mario, plus Mario 2 and 3? I went to
www.gameklip.com
and listened to an eleven-minute video of Mario 3, but it was only a speedy
thing, since there's an eleven minute window. I'd like a recorded version of
all three Mario's without all the warp zones, skips, or fast track things that
the videos had. Does anyone know where I can find it? It's ridiculous to
just ask someone to record themselves playing any of these three Mario's and
just send a cajillion tapes.

[Audyssey] scary sound in monopoly

2006-10-22 Thread Nicol
Hi all
When I was playing jim's monopoly I was playing for a while with the
background music on when the tokens move. That sound really sounds spooky to
me. phil, are you going to use a similar sound in sarah ?That sound scared me
so, I turned it off. Shortly after I heard that sound, when somebody in the
house was passing my room I got a fright as if a ghost was near me. That sound
is really scary.
Jim please don't feel I'm criticizing you. Monopoly is a great game. I just
intend to ask phil please not to add a similar sound in sarah. That would
really cause me to be scared the whole night as I lie in bed. That sound is
still all right in the monopoly game, but if you use that sound in sarah, its
really scary.

2006-10-22 Thread Phil Vlasak
Hi Nicol,
I am afraid that if you get scared by the footsteps in Monopoly, then Sarah
would not be a game you should play.
There are things in Sarah that are supposed to scare you but then you have
the ability to control them with your spells.
Sometimes when you can stop or control something scary, then it does not
seem so scary after all.
If you do try the game out I would suggest the easy difficulty level which
has less scary creatures.

2006-10-22 Thread Thomas Ward
Hi,
Yes, I am moving and it is taking up allot of my time. However, I do
from time to time drop in on the list to reply to the important posts,
and offer what I can when I can.
As for Monty it is still under development all be it on a very limited
schedule right now.

2006-10-22 Thread Yohandy
There's definitely a place to find this, and hundreds of others.
http://speeddemosarchive.com
There are links there for the speedy versions, which use glitches and
cheats, and to the complete versions. Can't wait till they put up an MKA
konquest run.
Enjoy the site!

Hi Robin

Wondering if you would mind me putting this in the upcoming Audyssey for
anyone out there who might be interested as well? That is if hosting it for
awhile isn't a problem.

Take care

2006-10-22 Thread Thomas Ward

I always grab my framework runtimes and development kits from
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/netframework/default.aspx
I am also redoing my site so the newist framework should be appearing on
my sight sooner than later.

2006-10-22 Thread Richard Sherman
Hi Brandon,
I think there has been some confusion. I don't program games. I think that
you are thinking of Thomas Ward, owner/creator of USA games. Last I heard he
is currently moving and that is why he probably didn't reply to your
message. Also as far as I know he is redoing Monty and it will be out in the
future. Just keep listening here for updates.
