Ok, but I know a lot of people using Gimp under Windows which are unable to compile anything ! I can give them a .exe, but that's all. And as I don't use Windows, I can't help a lot. If gimp-python is not officially supported for all platforms (which has been announced for the 2.0 branch)... too bad. Google should have a recipe somewhere on how to do it. I didn't find anything about such recipe... -- Frédéric http://www.gbiloba.org pgp1VRdbQZhRD.pgp Description: PGP signature
[Gimp-user] Gimp python
Hello, I would like to know the status of the gimp python support under Windows ? Is there a running version, even beta ? What do you, gimp users, think about gimp python ? Are there a lot of people waiting for this binding, or not ? I'm a Python Linux user (for Gimp, but also in my job), but I don't know anything about Windows, so I can't help developers... -- Frédéric http://www.gbiloba.org pgpCLRCNVdyFB.pgp Description: PGP signature

Answer Look in the tools menu under transform. Unfortunately , since their menus are non standard they don't have this menu. Oh man, that gimp program sucks. I'm going back to pho... Yes, this is true. But in another hand, I think that it is better to explain how to use a tool instead of telling him just click here, here and here, and that's it. If you know how to use tools such curves or level, and really know how they work, then you will be able to use either Gimp, Photoshop or whaterver soft you want. If someone really want to use Gimp, he will find the menu. If gimpshop can help to migrate from Photoshop, this is OK. And if Gimp gives choice to arrange menus, this is great. Each one can choose the best solution for him. And even if he ask for the place of a tool, there will be some other people using the same skin to help him.
