[Gregorio-users] file environ.sty not found - Ubuntu 12.04
Long tale of woe; short version: Followed the instructions in .../installation-linux. No problems. Followed /introduction-commandline, creating example.gabc, example.tex. Edited main.tex as per instructions. tried lualatex main.tex and it aborted with: ! LaTeX Error: File `environ.sty' not found. I know not who calls it, why it didn't get installed with the other *.sty files, when it stopped being included in the texlive-omega package (just a suspicion), or what the solution might be. Re: [Gregorio-users] install on Ubuntu
Thank you for your help. Sure I miss something. Anyway if you browse the remote directory with : |svn ls||svn://svn.gna.org/svn/gregorio/trunk or ||svn://svn.gna.org/svn/gregorio/trunk | grep configure or too with tortoisesvn client with Windows In any case there is only configure.ac Maybe my URL is not correct? Your post does not mention it and I have take the URL from http://home.gna.org/gregorio/installation-linux Merci encore PC | Le 07/03/2013 21:30, Pierre François a écrit : On 03/07/2013 05:34 PM, Pierre Couderc wrote: I am coming back to gregorio after a while, and trying to install it on Ubuntu I try to follow http://www.mail-archive.com/gregorio-users@gna.org/msg00978.html but I am stoped as ./configure does not exist. Re: [Gregorio-users] install on Ubuntu
configure.ac is for autoconfig http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GNU_build_system I never tried to install gregorio from source, but used the distribution package. Is there any reason to compile rather than use the package? Re: [Gregorio-users] install on Ubuntu
There are 3 reasons : - first, I want to be able to make modifications some (very future) day ... - using standard ubuntu package does not seem to install extension for scribus - I have read somwhere here that standard uburntu package is a bit outdated About autoconfig.ac, I have not seen in the various proecedures that I need to use it, and how too use it. [Gregorio-users] Installation from svn on ubuntu 12.03 LTS
OK, my mistake, I had mixed documentations. My conclusion is that ubuntu standard package is outdated. But I did success installing from svn sources as indicated in http://home.gna.org/gregorio/installation-linux For ubuntu and debian. I did change only one thing : I did not use libltd3-dev nor libltd7-dev but libltd-dev I had to aptitude install one package when required (texlive-fonts-recommended).
