mani server cfg is executed by server.cfg so it will be after as will any
map specific configs. Any values you want to ensure return to a default for
the next map should be set in server,cfg

autoexec is only executed on the server start. It is first. Then server.cfg

Easy way to test, put echo statements in each config to find out which is

Can someone tell me what the load order is on .cfg files at map change on a
srcds server (HL2DM)?Is it server.cfg, autoexec.cfg, mani_server.cfg then the
map?? I'm having some problems where the map has some cvar changes built into
it, and the server is no returning form defaults. I figure I can put the
default settings into on of the configs to reset them when the map changes. Thx

Can someone make a plugin/dll to boot clients over a certain ping?

I think mani had this, but as mani's plugin is reported to be unstable for
TF2, i dont wanna use it.

Getting fed up with players with too high a ping and slowing things down.
Sometimes i'm away for the day or at work and cannot be logged into HLSW to

Grateful for any help/advice/scripts ;)

RE: [hlds] Player Limit Remover plugin

2007-09-30 Thread Tony Paloma
It removes any limit that the mod has. I never actually tested for stability
past 32 players. The server will allow you to set up to 128, but because of
the way players are handled in the server and engine code, it doesn't mean
it will work.

I'm sure that the TF2 one is working because my server is 28/28 right now.

I didn't make it 32 or more because it seems like too much of a frag fest.

The modified server dll that one or more of you are finding has the same
effect as this plugin. I made this plugin to avoid having to modify your
server dll since an update will kill it.

I am working on a linux version. I was going to release it last night, but I
didn't actually test it.

Go for it. In the meantime would you like to play on my 150 man dustbowl
server?

Removing the player limit and having a stable playable server are two
different things ;) There's a reason that there's no server out there with
more than 32 slots for DoD, and why no TF2 servers are running more than 32
slots.

It effectively allows you to run 32 players, it just doesn't allow you to
run more.

I tried both versions, TF2 one seems to work fine, but in DoD:S first person
to join crashes the server, I would imagine this is due to a conflict with
another plugin we run (Detox, Steambans, Mani, Mattie, Es Tools,
PsychoReader) - not had a chance to test it properly yet though.

Hmm I did it slightly differently but then I followed the method I used in
dods

Create a folder in orangebox/tf called addons then into orangebox/tf/addons
place the plr.dll and a plr.vdf file which you make in notepad that looks
like this

"Plugin"
{
"file"  "../tf/addons/plr"
}

Restart server remembering to change the +maxplayers and voila, we now have
a 64 slot DoDS server and a 36 slot TF2.

Awesome work Tony, thank you

during sending client info.

The Server also shows timeouts using HLSW while players are connecting.

After you put the dll in orangebox\bin you have to make a vdf file. See:
http://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Server_Plugins#Running_a_Plugin

Make the contents of the vdf file the following:
"Plugin"
{
"file"  "plr"
}
