I've also heard that 942 fixes it on both Windows and Linux, but I haven't gotten a chance to fix it on my own servers. I'm also cleverly adding hldslinux to the reply list. Please make it so that servers with nodmgspread enabled are not filtered when the quickplay random crit settings are not set to enabled. sv_pure works fine if you start your server with +sv_pure 1 on the command line. From there you can switch to sv_pure 0 or sv_pure 2 at any time. However if you don't start with +sv_pure 1 on the command line you're stuck with a server running sv_pure 0. So correct me if I'm wrong but isn't this just a simple case of changing the default? No, the default steamport is 26901 which is different from the hostport default of 27015. You might experience problems if you set them to the same port, I've never tried. I kind of saw this coming when quick play was first announced. By players being able to opt only for official Valve servers, it gives Valve another way to placate complaints from players (or there parental-units) about inappropriate content, behavior etc. They are pretty-much guaranteed vanilla and about as family-friendly as their games are capable of being - because they are the servers that Valve maintains themselves. I definitely sympathize that it will in the short term mean that as more regular players stop playing and the population gets replaced by more noob's most of those noob's will at least start-out (maybe by default) only playing on vanilla servers with no customization or intrigue at all. So, while I don't particular LIKE it, I totally understand where Valve is coming from. I run game servers that are specifically / intentionally not family friendly (as it says in the MOTD and the audio-on-join message). So, kids showing-up accidentally on my servers is not particularly desirable. But, then again, I opt-out of quick play anyway. So, in theory they shouldn't be there any way. The main problem I heard from quickplay was that you wouldn't get these good community servers, but instead you'd get tweaked out nightteam and random mods and shit from it. I tried it one night and got shunted to Stop That Tank! As far removed from the standard TF2 experience as can possibly be, due to server admin shenangians. It looks like some of the update servers backed out the update or were otherwise in an improper state after the update today. My auto update system first updated, then downgraded again when the UpToDateCheck version reverted. Can I get a response from Valve? Would it be reasonable to expect that a release version could revert, or will versions always be a positive increment, even in the event of a content reversion?
