[JAWS-Users] about Yahoo scripts

2011-03-21 Thread soner çoban

Hello,
I have installed the Yahoo scripts developed by Romanian people

on Jaws 11, yet it has many problems such as reading alol the messages written
at once when alt+1 is pressed or while writing, it reads both letters and try
to combine and read lettters and words like L İ Lİ, LİK, Like... hope it got
understood. do you have a newer or another yahoo messenger script? or did FS
make such a script?

2011-03-21 Thread Patti

Hey Wayne,
I have 5 documents on dropbox if you want them, that I made, step by step
instructions on who you invited, making a sharing folder with some one,
public sharing, Status of downloading, and Using dropbox from website.

Let me know if you want them.
I love dropbox.
Patti

I just created a Drop box account. I don't know what to do. The getting
started instructions don't make sense to me. I am running Jaws 11 with
Vista. Can any one give me info on how to use and navigate Drop Box?

Re: [JAWS-Users] shortcut keystrokes for clicking on pop-up balloons

2011-03-21 Thread Mobeen Iqbal

Hi.

What version of jaws are you using? i think as of jaws 11, maybe even as
of jaws 10, when you received a popup notification jaws would highlight
it so all you have to do is press your left mouse button, that's the
slash key on your number pad second in top left or caps lock then number
8 if using jaws laptop layout.

Hope that helps!

Mo.

Re: [JAWS-Users] shortcut keystrokes for clicking on pop-up balloons

2011-03-21 Thread Don Marang
If you mean the HelpBalloons that pop up in the Notification down near
the clock in the lower right hand corner, just use the NumPad / key
within about 5 seconds of it being announced.

If you mean the ToolTips that can pop up with file information in
Windows Explorer, or other applications to explain buttons, it is a
little strange. You will need to go into Configuration Manager or
Settings Manager and find the list box of items to speak for the
Verbosity level; Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced that you are
using. At the very bottom of the list is ToolTip. Press Space on this
item to check it. By default, it is not checked in any of the Verbocity
levels and tends to uncheck itself!

yes, that's right, you have to put it in the public folder to send as a
link, but if your sharing a folder why whould you want to send it as a
link?
they just grab it out of your shared folder same as you do, the people
who do not share with you, they get the links through the public folder.

what do ya not understand?
You copy something into a folder lkie say your public folder, once DB
indicates it's in the folder through your system tray where all files
up to date say, then you can send a link of that copied file in an
email to someone.
or you can go to db web site and create a folder that you and someone
else can share, that part retty easy to do on creating a folder, give
it a name, type in person/persons email addresses you want to share the
folder with and send it. They get an email to accept the shared folder
and it shows in their list of folders of the db program same as it will
on your list.
So they drop stuff into the shared folder, db uploads it from their pc
to yours or visa versa, when that's done and it tells ya in your all
files up to date, then you can copy or cut that item from the shared
folder and put it whreever ya wanna to on your pc.

Hey Patti;

Try the following. I don't know who I'm plagiarizing or stole these notes
from! LOL LOL

1. Open a new message.

2. Press Alt + V for the view menu.

3. Press enter on All Headers or just press the letter A .

For using the BCC field temporarily press Alt + B, in an open message. The
Alt + B, keystroke will work as a toggle when using it this way. Hope this
helps.
Take care.

hmmm, easier than that, start composing a new message and press alt+b
and it will be there. another press of alt+b will turn it off again though.

You need to open a message first and then press alt plus v for the view
menu, arrow down to all headers and press enter or just press the letter A

for all headers. I hope that helped you.

Re: [JAWS-Users] Windows 7 with outlook 2010

2011-03-21 Thread KliphSharrie
Using outlook with jaws always takes some adjustments. First, in every
folder, you must change the view. So, first thing that has to be done is,
turning off the reading pain, hit alt v, then the letters p and n, once you
do this arrow down to off, and hit enter. The next thing is optional, I do
it because I've never cared for my messages to be in groups, so to turn off
the show messages in groups, hit alt V, then the letters A and b, once you
do this arrow down to show in groups, if its checked hit enter and that will
uncheck it. After these to adjustments are made, everything should work
fine. I also tab through and turn off favorite folders. Sorry, I don't
know the short cut to this one. But what I explained above needs to be done
in each folder you read messages in. HTH

I have a new computer with windows 7 and outlook 2010 and latest jaws but
I
am having big trouble with outlook 2010 and I would like to know if there
is
another e-mail that I can use rather than outlook with windows 7. Is

Don't have a answer, maybe Jaws isn't reading the colors right. have a
sighted person take a look if one is around.

I hate when I post before thinking.
That's what I did after I posted it.
However, here's what happened. I highlighted it, chose red and went back
 to
read it and it said brown.
 Why is that?

Press insert v to activate the verbossity choice, press F twice and if

 then
press enter to save your changes.
How you can tell is jaws will say lost focus lost focus, I think, which
 is
real irritating so I do not have mine on
Another instance how I find out that jaws is out of focus is when I hear
 no
window is active. Nonetheless, when its out of focus, I just navigate to
 the
desktop, using windows key m and go back to what I was doing or unload
 and
 reload jaws.

 Take care.
