Re: [JAWS-Users] shortcut keystrokes for clicking on pop-up balloons
Hi. What version of jaws are you using? i think as of jaws 11, maybe even as of jaws 10, when you received a popup notification jaws would highlight it so all you have to do is press your left mouse button, that's the slash key on your number pad second in top left or caps lock then number 8 if using jaws laptop layout. Hope that helps! Mo. On Sunday, March 20, 2011 10:33 AM, Emma Taylor wrote: hi list members, Could someone please tell me what the keystrokes are to click on pop-up balloons? Re: [JAWS-Users] shortcut keystrokes for clicking on pop-up balloons
If you mean the HelpBalloons that pop up in the Notification down near the clock in the lower right hand corner, just use the NumPad / key within about 5 seconds of it being announced. If you mean the ToolTips that can pop up with file information in Windows Explorer, or other applications to explain buttons, it is a little strange. You will need to go into Configuration Manager or Settings Manager and find the list box of items to speak for the Verbosity level; Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced that you are using. At the very bottom of the list is ToolTip. Press Space on this item to check it. By default, it is not checked in any of the Verbocity levels and tends to uncheck itself! They get an email to accept the shared folder and it shows in their list of folders of the db program same as it will on your list. Hey Patti; Try the following. I don't know who I'm plagiarizing or stole these notes from! LOL LOL 1. Open a new message. 2. Press Alt + V for the view menu. 3. Press enter on All Headers or just press the letter A . For using the BCC field temporarily press Alt + B, in an open message. The Alt + B, keystroke will work as a toggle when using it this way. Re: [JAWS-Users] Windows 7 with outlook 2010
Using outlook with jaws always takes some adjustments. First, in every folder, you must change the view. So, first thing that has to be done is, turning off the reading pain, hit alt v, then the letters p and n, once you do this arrow down to off, and hit enter. The next thing is optional, I do it because I've never cared for my messages to be in groups, so to turn off the show messages in groups, hit alt V, then the letters A and b, once you do this arrow down to show in groups, if its checked hit enter and that will uncheck it. After these to adjustments are made, everything should work fine. I also tab through and turn off favorite folders. Sorry, I don't know the short cut to this one. But what I explained above needs to be done in each folder you read messages in.
