Re: [JAWS-Users] moving large amounts of files to another folder
Hi Judy & Tally, Did those notes work for you? I was wondering because I never did it that way. I figure it was easier to ask, then to mess with it, cause I was just ready to delete. This selects all the files from the originally selected file to the first file. (alternatively use shift + end to select all the files from he originally selected file to the last file.) David. original message: Hi, list, At work we download tons of books from BARD and have folders broken down by db numbers on a network drive. One of these folders has gotten too large; it takes me too long to locate a certain book. I want to make two folders instead of one and have half the files in each folder. Again these are files on a network drive. Is there a relatively painless way to select a large number of files and move them into a new folder? To do it a couple at a time would take forever. Re: [JAWS-Users] JAWS Dongle
It's a very simple form, and FS only wants to know why you want the dongle, and some basic information about you. Nothing very personal. I have one, and it was very easy to get. I just told them that I traveled around a lot and did not want to haul a computer around with me. I also was having to reinstall JAWS often at that time, and FS did not like me requesting Activations. The dongle will cost you $45, but I like having it. Now, I can just plug it into any computer, and depending on who owns the computer, either install the correct version of the program for their PC, or use the latest portable version, which still requires the installation of the video intercept on the computer, but this can be removed after use. One thing that I don't like about it is that I have two laptops, and sometimes I want to use JAWS on both of them at the same time. I am not sure if I can get another one for $45, but I doubt it. Another thing, FS has the dongle rigged up so that it will not appear in the list of drives in File Explorer or My Computer. So, forget trying to make another copy. LOL. Re: [JAWS-Users] Jaws 15 and the nFL Audio Pass subscription
I've used NFL audio league pass for many years and its great. I also subscribe to game pass to watch games or listen in my case. (smile) However, you have to be out of the United States to subscribe to this service. So, when in the States I had to subscribe to game rewind which allows you to watch games after they have been played. The advantage of game pass and game rewind is games that are archived commercials and half time are removed. You get to listen to all regular season games. 3. You get to listen to all playoff games. 4. You get to listen to the superbowl. 5. You get to listen to the last three years of all NFL football games. 6. You get to choose the hoem or away broadcasters on every game. 7. Re: [JAWS-Users] JAWS Dongle
No, George. but arguably a donggle would have prevented an authorization lapse (probably) for your J14. Freedom Scientific is very cautious about distributing donggles, they say and use it for their exasperated selves and customers when the latter have authorization issues for some reason. Were you able to re-authorize your J14? . On 9/14/2014 2:14 PM, TheHangMan wrote: Hi Jim, Are you talking about, when Jaws goes into 40 minute mode for some reason? just chiming in, I think FS should apply the difference towards a renewal, for example, you paid 200 but the rates have dropped to 120, if the user renews for the next 2 upgrades, that user just pays 40 . this would be a one time deal. - Original Message - From: "Becky Buckner" To: Sent: Saturday, September 13, 2014 9:47 PM Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Prepaid J16 & J17 SMA's I'm afraid that on one of the FS casts, that question was asked and Eric said no refunds. - Original Message - From: "Mike B." To quiet a key, go into settings manager with Insert-f2. Find the Settings and open it. Find Keyboard treview and open it. [JAWS-Users] Changing the Numbering in MS-Word2010 Outline
Hello All, I am using MS-Word2010, JAWS 14 and JAWS 15, and Windows7 on both 32bit and 64 bit machines. I want to change the numbering of the Outline feature in MS-Word. What I want is . Level 1 to be 1, 2, 3, etc . Level 2 to be 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, etc . Level 3 to be 1.1.1, 1.1.2, 1.1.3.1.2.1, 1.2.2.1.3.1, 1.3.2, etc. . Level 4 to be 1.1.1.a, 1.1.1.b.1.1.2.a, 1.1.2.b.1.2.1.a, etc. I can even live with Level 1 being capital letters, A, B, C, etc. and Level 4 being lower case letters, with Levels 2 & 3 being numbers. I want Levels 2, 3 & 4 to show the entire numbering sequence as I've shown above. Thanks in advance for your help. [JAWS-Users] Date and Time on Outlook 2010 messages Posted yesterday>
Where can I go to adjust the sent header on incoming messages using Outlook 2010, Win 7 and JAWS 14??? When I read messages in the list view, only time is given and date has disappeared. Now, there is not a date, but only time. This is very confusing at times. I really need to get back the date somehow and have no idea why it disappeared at all. I think my outgoing messages do have both date and time. Thanks and pleasant Sunday to all! For some reason, all of a sudden, there is only a time when JAWS reads the header of a message in the list view of the in box. I need to reset the date which is very important to me. Where and how can I do this? Thanks always for your great help and expertise. For answers to frequently asked questions about this list visit: http://www.jaws-users.com/help/
Re: [JAWS-Users] table to text
Place your cursor in the table. Use your application key to select the entire table. Use your application key a second time to select Convert. If you still do not see convert in the application menu, open table on the ribbon, and you should find it there.
