Hi,

Is there a way in gmail to put severalcontacts together in a group or a list
so you can email them all at once without having to enter them individually.
For example, if you're on a board of directors and you want to email
everyone at the same time. I'm using jaws 13 windows 7 and can use IE
Firefox or Chrome. I have gmail set to basic html view do I need to switch
to standard view to make this possible?

thanks,

Dacia

I have given up trying to navigate the Amazon.com site using IE. It seems
to be easier to navigate using Firefox, but I have discovered that when
placing an order, there are no longer any radio buttons on the page for
selecting the desired shipping option,so there is now no apparent way to
select free shipping, which is not the default (standard shipping is the
default, even if your order qualifies for free shipping). So now when I
place an order with Amazon using Firefox 29 with the accessible site, I call
customer support as soon as I receive my email order confirmation to have
them adjust my order to apply free shipping instead of the default standard
shipping. This is a nuisance, but fortunately, Amazon customer support is
very helpful, especially if you explain to the agent that you are a blind
customer who is having trouble with their accessible site. Amazon is
constantly tinkering with their site, much to the detriment of us blind

If I'm understanding you correctly, it sounds like you want to take Jaws out
of the Alt / Tab order. You need to have Jaws run from the system tray to
do this. Try the following:
1. Alt + Tab to the Jaws Window.
2. Press the, Alt key, to open the menues.
3. Press the letter, O, for, Options, press the letter, B, to open Basics.
4. Tab to, Run JAWS from System Tray, use the spacebar to check this box
tab to, okay, press enter.

Take care.

Do a JAWS key plus h for the jaws hot keys. The combo for the contact

I have given up trying to navigate the Amazon.com site using

have discovered that when placing an order, there are no
longer any radio buttons on the page for selecting the
desired shipping option,so there is now no apparent way to
select free shipping, which is not the default (standard
shipping is the default, even if your order qualifies for
free shipping). So now when I place an order with Amazon
using Firefox 29 with the accessible site, I call customer
support as soon as I receive my email order confirmation to
have them adjust my order to apply free shipping instead of
the default standard shipping. This is a nuisance, but
fortunately, Amazon customer support is very helpful,
especially if you explain to the agent that you are a blind

2015-01-20 Thread Sharon Gosling
I use the regular Amazon site all the time and with Firefox 35 it works
normally as my last order had the free shipping. Around Christmas I had a
great deal of trouble with the site as I could not change the number of
items I wanted but now that works as well. They even have the beginning of
the shopping cart finally marked with a heading so I can find it by
navigating by heading since in the past it was confusing to find the actual
items that were in the cart.
I have my Firefox set to upgrade automatically since several of the last
upgrades were for security reasons. You might want to update your Firefox
as this version seems to work fine with Jaws 16. At least as well as IE in
most cases. Now I only use IE if I have some difficulty with Firefox in
checking something or other such thing...

Just a suggestion.

hello;

let's be clear about something, if you don't have a particular program
scripts installed,
then using the keystroke insert+q, is absolutely useless.
the insert+q is a jaws keystroke, and tells you, or gives you information on
the program scripts loaded,
the alt+ 1 2 3 are not jaws keystrokes for skype.

if you have jaws skype scripts installed, then the alt+ 1 2 3 will not work,
because the jaws scripts remapped the alt+ commands to reflect the familiar
behaviour

give me two places where Jaws says nothing at all and then let me get to the
yes button. I nearly went in and turned it completely off today but not
quite that brave, still it is annoying especially since it defaults to no

Han's instructions worked perfectly for my Windows 7. That does take you to
the ease of access center, and tab a few times to get to the working without
a display button/link.

If memory serves me, the keystroke Windows + U
opens the Ease of Access Center in Windows 7.
Is this the version of Windows we are talking about?
I didn't see it mentioned earlier in the thread.

Hi Tim.

The Java Access Bridge is included in the Java installation, but you must
activate it manually.
Go to the User Account control, windows-key+u and use the button Use the
computer without a screen, and check the last checkbox before the ok
button, and press ok.
Close the UAC window, and probably you must restart your computer before it
work's.

I believe JAVA Access Bridge is not installed on my computer, at least
nothing with access bridge in the program title; I find only a single JAVA
item on my installed programs, JAVA 8. That said, is Access Bridge under
the services part of Windows?

I have an old Access Bridge installation file. Should I just install that
and update from there, or instead find the current release of that
installation program?

hello;

let's be clear about something, if you don't have a particular program
scripts installed, then using the keystroke insert+q, is absolutely useless.
the insert+q is a jaws keystroke, and tells you, or gives you information on
the program scripts loaded, the alt+ 1 2 3 are not jaws keystrokes for
skype.

if you have jaws skype scripts installed, then the alt+ 1 2 3 will not work,
because the jaws scripts remapped the alt+ commands to reflect the familiar
behaviour

[JAWS-Users] JAWS 16 With Amazon

2015-01-20 Thread Tim Ford

Just editing the subject line to be more descriptive than JAWS 16.

Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] version 16

Amazon is
constantly tinkering with their site, much to the detriment of us blind
customers.

[JAWS-Users] MalwareBytesFree

2015-01-20 Thread Steven Hicks(BTConnect)
Hi friends,

I have just downloaded and installed MalwareBytesFree.
I see to be able to navigate the programme and the scan progress bar is a
bit strange, it keeps flicking up information.
I seem to be able to tell when the scan has finished but I can't seem to
view the results, does anyone know a way to work around this please?
The logs go to the ProgrammData folder in the Malwarebytes folder and they
are logs. They are in .XML format and I don't seem to be able to view them.
Does anyone know how I can view the scan results in some sort of accessible
way please?

Many thanks in anticipation,
