For those interested in continuing to use the program. I have not done as
many scans lately like I should have done. However, I have always updated
the definitions frequently. With all of the conversation about this
program, I thought I would try to see what version 6.0 is doing with JAWS
16. I was incredibly surprised.

Now, I am not the greatest and most savvy computer operator, like many of
you are. However, I do survive because of a lot of logic and common sense.

I quickly noticed that you are correct, SAS is not accessible like older
versions. However, I routed the JAWS cursor to the PC cursor. Then I found
different features that sounded what I needed to do.

   I left clicked on:

Complete Scan. It did its job over more than 200,000 files and all else. I
had 45 threats and was advised to quarantine those threats and delete them.

I found a quarantine button and left clicked on that. I was told that
all threats were then quarantined.

Next, I found a delete bottom, left clicked on it and before I knew I
found a done button and that was perfect for me. Left clicked on it and it
was a done deal.

To prove to myself that I actually did everything perfectly, I ran the
same scan again. Yes, not one threat remained this time.

I use SAS to supplement my Vipre Anti-Virus program. I do not use Malware
bytes, since I know that is way too complicated for me to use effectively.

I am impressed for two reasons, in particular:

1. My computer is now free of the threats it had yesterday.

2. This is entirely possible to accomplish only using the JAWS cursor.

Again, I am not the guru that most of you are, but if this can work for a
computer chimp, it certainly can work even better for you who understand
computer programs better than I.

Hope this helps someone!

[JAWS-Users] ADWCleaner!

2015-04-13 Thread Bob Edenhofer
Mike B, I downloaded and ran ADWCleaner, just for the hell of it, and the
website is a long website, so there’s no way I’d be able to type it in, and the
nice thing about it is, that it doesn’t install as a regular program! another
words, you don’t half to uninstall it under the control panel, you do it right
from the executable. I tried it on my windows 7 machine, whitch is my laptop,
and it works perfect. And it didn’t find any threats whatsoever. Thanks for the
help! you’re a pro! I’ve got to complement you on that.

Re: [JAWS-Users] Super Anti-Spyware, version 6.0

2015-04-13 Thread Liuda Balcius
Absolutely. I also use Vipre 2014. Actually, I must say that using the
JAWS cursor alone is almost easier than in previous versions with the PC
cursor. One thing is that I am not interested in knowing what threats I am
deleting from my system. I just want all threats gone, bottom line. I deal
mostly with a region of the world that is today prone to be abnormally
dangerous when it comes to the Internet. I will continue to use SAS, free
version 6.0, and Vipre, until some problem arises. This works well for me,
but this is only my opinion, based on my computer skills and my computer.
Hope this helps.

Fred,

Mozilla Firefox and IE are very similar in many ways. I use both on my two
computers. You will find that Firefox is going to have a lot more pop up
type stuff, which can be annoying at times, things like Do you want
Firefox to do this or that or Firefox did this or that. I have never
found a way to disable this. The tools menus are quite the same, and
contain much of the same settings in both. I use both browsers because
there are some sites that simply do not work very well in IE, but seem to
do much better in Firefox. And the same goes the other way around. There
are many more updates to Firefox, and you can choose to do this or not.
Otherwise, Fire fox works well, and will do a good job for you. I hope this
helps.

Hi ABDULAZIZ,
I'm sorry but, I can't help with this. I only use Firefox in XP use IE11
with Windows7. I was under the impression that being the same options were
available in Firefox as in IE that they would work the same. So much for
assuming! There are settings changes to make in Firefox's,

about:config

that makes Firefox work better with Jaws but, for this instance, I haven't
heard of any. Perhaps doing a search would help but, I'm sure you have
tried that. Sorry I hope someone comes through with a fix because many

Thanks Mike. But I forgot to tell you that, because I have loading

problems with selecting and copying contents when I am using IE. I am

tried the steps described with the latest version of that browser, and
because the select and copy full content using onscreen highlight

Is there a way to select and copy full web contents from Firefox? Is

 Hello list members,
I have this concern regarding the selection, copying and pasting of
contents from webpages. Every time I select web elements like list,
tables etc in a webpage, list and table indicators were also selected,
and when I paste it in other locations like word and notepad, these
 indicators were also there.
Another thing, whenever I copy paste tables from a website, it
appeared that I am not doing it right. it is very frustrating to find
out that the table that I copied, when I pasted it in a word document,
turned not as a table but a plain text instead.
Is there a way to select, copy and paste web content in an HTML format
 with JAWS?
I really need a help and an enlightenment with regard the matter.
 Thanks in advance.

[JAWS-Users] Outlook 2010 messages not reading subject field in list view

[JAWS-Users] Super Anti-Spyware, version 6.0

2015-04-13 Thread Liuda Balcius

To err is human, but to really mess things up, one needs a computer.

Hi

Have you tried restarting JAWS or rebooting your computer? If that doesn't
help, try routing the JAWS cursor to the PC cursor and see if the subject
shows up When you do a SayLine. If the subject isn't there, go to the view
ribbon and in the current view group choose view settings. You will find an
entry that says columns. In this item you can add or remove columns and
change the order in which they are displayed.

I can't tell you how many blind people I know who retired early or were
just let go because the software or systems that they had to work with

hasn't worked out that way.
It may have been so when character based operating systems and software

I will be 63 in July, had sort of been thinking of retiring at 62 before

a very lonely place for me right now but this new job (my job of 38

the end of each day. Hopefully I can hang in until my 90 days is up,
after that I will be straight production and no way will I make enough,
although they tried to tell me in January that I would.

I am tempted every day to just give it up. Most of the reason is the
lack of accessibility and the attitude that if I have the problem and
can't solve it with Jaws myself then too bad.

I am not used to working for a corporation who seem to think you have to
perfect, productive and never ever express an opinion.

Rose Combs,
There is two reasons that I retired. One being my age and old enough to
do so. The second is that the job-site was becoming what you are dealing
with.
For 14 years with Each level of Jaws and some script writing, the
program worked just fine on all levels! I am not a Braille person so
those machines did nothing for me. Though if one knew Braille as two
other blind persons'
working at my site. They went far, just burned out. Anyway the last 8
months they were making big time changes in the format. Exactly what you
are talking about. Some scripting worked but as soon as up-dates were
added then gone. JAVA of their own had some to do with it but and yet it
was the battle of the pull down of a window inside a window inside a
window. If this is what you are dealing with good luck. Internal
e-mailing and fast mailing by the bullenton board was never a issue...
So good luck! Geno retired now

I suppose it could be worse but right now I don't know how, I just wish
I'd decided to take retirement rather than being talked into this
venture, the company has no clue how to be helpful, one person tells me
something works another that it doesn't and a third tells me it is my
responsibility to make it work, as if I can change their programming so
all the boxes that are supposed to drop do. What is so annoying is that
none of the four cursors can deal with these boxes and what I don't
understand is why some work with the alt down arrow but others do not.

Off now to struggle with a web mail client that does have keyboard
commands for some of it but that I have not mastered in any sense of the
word.
Outlook is dead in the water with a data error and was not doing all
that well with the multiple tables in a message, before it crashed I had
a message I'd been trying to read and was on about the 50th table,
multiple long pauses with Jaws, no way to use arrow keys, could not
figure out where the problem could be then crash and a message that
gives me the path but when I try to type it all in goes nowhere.

I have never liked web mail much and that opinion has not changed.
However, looks like I have no choice.

Part of me wants to just quit but another part wants to fight the
issues, the quitting part is starting to be the major part in the past
few days.

Freedom Scientific had a free webinar on Firefox. One of the things they
talked about was the differences between the two. One of those differences
was that Firefox can only select and copy from the virtual cursor. It can't

is one of the reasons I won't switch to it as my default browser. I do keep

because the select and copy full content using onscreen highlight

Is there a way to select and copy full web contents from Firefox? Is

With the From Virtual Cursor setting, text is copied as plain text

Is anyone finding that Eloquence is a bit choppy with the latest release?
It seems to switch pitch when I am alt tabbing around for some reason.
It does this on my laptop and desktop.

Steve.

Mike thanks for the info. Do you mind if I contact you off the list from
time to time for info on mozilla?

I hope this
helps.

I am using W7, internet explorer and latest jaws. I know some on this list
use Mozilla as a browser and I would appreciate info from you and
especially if you have used both mozilla and internet explorer. I have
been looking at mozilla and thinking of installing it on my old bedroom
computer which is an old computer but still a good one. Is this something
I can do myself and is this a large learning curve?I would appreciate your
thoughts, good or bad Where can mozilla be downloaded from?.

Thanks much,
