Hi Kevin,
Open iTunes first.
Then put the CD into your drive.
The iTunes dialog should come up at that point.
If not on the first page I believe in the preferences, there is:

Good luck...

[JAWS-Users] music downloads

2016-04-02 Thread Lenny McHugh
I have never had the interest of purchasing or downloading any music. I now
have a need for about 15 songs with the word magic in the lyrics. What is
the easiest site for jaws to locate this type of music? I am a blind
magician and doing two large magic shows. Want the music to play prior to
the show. Any and all suggestions welcomed.

Hi.
Have you tried deleting or rolling back the wireless drivers? It is possible
it won't be able to find the WiFi at all then, at which point you'd have to
manually download a WiFi driver, copy it onto the computer with a flash
drive and install it, unless it has an ethernet jack and there is such a
plug available for connecting to the internet nearby.

No, I don't think it will meet the minimum specs for Windows 10. Processor is
slow and you don't have much memory. It certainly won't support a lot of
Windows 10 features.

Hi Everyone,

I have and old laptop that use to be my work pc. It has XP Pro on it for an
operating system. Also It has two batteries and they are just like new. It
was never use more than maybe 75 to 100 hours is a guess. I was wondering
what your opinion would be if it would be good enough for my wife to use.
All she does is email, Facebook and does some searching on the web. I want
to put Windows 10 on it and Jaws so I can do maintenance on it. My wife
does not need Jaws. So she would be using it with just Windows 10 so I am
wondering if it would be good enough for that. I know the ram is pretty
low. Here are the spec on the laptop.

Dell Vostro 1720

IntelR Core 2 Duo CPU

T570 @ 2.10GHz

2.09 GHz, 1.96 GB of RAM

Any suggestions and opinions would be appreciated.

Hello list,

My Pc is starting to show its years of heavy use and until I purchase a new

Are there specific settings within JAWS that improve accessibility to

Re: [JAWS-Users] would anyone have any tips on using open office with JAWS?

2016-04-02 Thread Jason White
OpenOffice isn't seeing much development, but its more popular offshoot,
LibreOffice, certainly is. http://www.libreoffice.org/

I haven't used it under Microsoft Windows, however. It's reasonably accessible
under Linux, but that won't help you if you're primarily a Windows/JAWS user.

As I remember, the LibreOffice developers integrated work from IBM that
removed the dependency on Java for accessibility under MS-Windows. I would
suggest that you download the latest version of LibreOffice and try it.

I spoke to Arianna on the phone yesterday and we covered all of the
possibilities plus some others and it is still a no go. The guy she got
the

system from is going to send her an external wireless adapter which a lady
of her skill set should have no problem at all installing. The only
suggestion I make for you Arianna is to wait until you have some eyes
because some cards go in first and then the drivers get installed and
other

cards do it the other way around.

Hi.

According to a quick google search, his switch is located just above the
f7 key and is a capacitive touch button.

Hi,
Try giving MSA a call because I think you can still connect with them,
even
though your wifi is not connected.

See if this works:

Open IE and press control O.

Type in,
