As far as I know, a demo version is a fully functioning version of Jaws, the only limit is the forty minute mode, but other than that, you should be able to change the settings, save those changes and the like and continue using it in forty minute mode until you get the unlock code. Re: [JAWS-Users] Using the touch-cursor in JAWS.
Hi Tom, The touch cursor memics using your finger on a touch screen, only you use the keyboard on your computer to accomplish the same thing. When you turn on the touch cursor, the right arrow is like swiping your finger to the right on a touch screen. You do not need a touch screen on your computer for this to work. Using the touch cursor and your arrow keys, allows you to access many controls that you cannot ever get to with the PC cursor or the JAWS cursor. You can press your arrow keys, and access the buttons on the toolbars of MS word, for example. The touch cursor does not show up in JAWS until version 15. Have a great one. Wow, Jim, That sounds like a great computer. I have never heard of a Hard drive and a SSD drive working together. Is Windows on the harddrive, but then the SSD drive allows Windows to load faster? Does anything permantly stay on the SSD drive, or is it just a dump drive to allow processes to occur faster? Wow, sounds great. I have just a SSD drive on this little HP laptop I use, and I love it. When I use my other laptop with the Regular Hard drive, I get so impatient, because it takes so much longer for processes to occur. I am so happy for you! [JAWS-Users] Dreamweaver CS6 and Jaws16
Hello all, I am following a course on Dreamweaver CS6 and I am finding thathe program isn’t very accessible with Jaws. For example, I am doing an excersice where I need to do a bulleted list. For this, I must go to propeties and press the html button, yet I can’t acces such pane (Dreamweaver has a pane with buttons that I can’t access). I can’t even navigate panes with F6. Now, there is a layout tab in the ribbons where lists is presented as a menu. In that menu there is a ‘properties...’, but is is in gray (unavailable), and next is a ‘none checked’ (I can’t uncheck it). Does any one know how to work it around? Are there any jaws scripts to make Dreamweaver CS6 more accessible with Jaws? Thank you in advance. Re: [JAWS-Users] turn off function keys?
First go to the settings center. Then press Ctrl+shift+D to open the default settings. Then type "manage key labels" in the search field. Then tab to that list choice and press the spacebar to activate. Then Ctrl+tab to the dialog. Here you find a list of several spoken and unspoken keystrokes. Arrow to the function keys (or press the letter f until you reach them). For each key you want to mute, press Alt+t and it should then indicate mute. When completed, tab to okay. Then Ctrl+tab to go back to the settings dialog and tab to okay. Press enter. Re: [JAWS-Users] getting stuck in submenus in Windows 10
Hi, I suggest calling VFO first, then let's think about getting your Windows 10 updated. But to make sure you're running the version you think you've got, can you try the following for me: 1. Open Start menu. 2. Type "winver" (without quotes) and press ENTER. 3. Note down the build number you got and reply to me with this information. In the meantime, I'll forward this query to a list that deals with Windows 10. I tried Clifford's suggestion of turning off the virtual cursor, but still no joy. And yes, there are situations where I've had better results than Firefox, but not this time. Nate, I wondered how well NVDA works with IE as opposed to Edge.
