Re: [JAWS-Users] Who to contact to see about my Jaws license?

2018-04-13 Thread Fernando Gregoire
Hi Gerardo,

For non-US customers, usually the order is managed by a local dealer which you
should contact with to get information about order status.
If for any reason you purchased the license directly to Freedom Scientific,
such as in their Online Store, you can contact them at
i...@freedomscientific.com. For international sales related questions, you can
also call to this phone number:
(727) 803-8000

As the help says on this: “To ensure that your request is handled promptly,
include your complete address and telephone number.”

Translation of this info into Spanish is not very accurate, because by reading
the Spanish text seems that international sales phone and fax mentioned are
only for Canada, while in English it clearly reads “including Canada.”

Hope it helps!

Hi George,

Try opening Adobe Reader using the desktop shortcut icon, now press, Alt +
E, navigate to, Accessibility, press enter to set the accessibility
settings, or you can press, Control + K, to open preferences after pressing
enter on the desktop icon. Preferences is also available in the list when
your press, Alt + E.

Take care. Mike. Go Dodgers!

2018-04-13 Thread Bissett, Tom
My son uses it. I think he uses it as a chat. A group I belong to use it and
wanted me to join in. I don't have a smart phone so I down loaded the desktop
app but I am not sure it will work unless you have a smart phone to match it
with. It appears to support touch screen only. I need to check it further to
see if it is accessable from the desktop.

Imo it's always good to have alternatives. Some people don't want an apple
device, and others don't want to be bothered with Skype. International phone
plans are not cheap and have to justify their cost in extensive use to be
worthwhile. Different VOIP alternatives are a very good thing, and hopefully
not going anywhere.

That said, Whatsapp is a facebook product. It's come under scrutiny recently
because of the privacy scandal that's been in the news the last couple of
weeks, along with instagram. Facebook and apps connected directly with facebook
seem most suspect, though, of divulging peoples' personal information without
their knowledge.

Hi Gerardo,
No one on this list would be able to give you that information,
you would have to contact VFO directly.
They do not conduct business through this list.
You should be able to find their contact info from within the Jaws
